Stupid as it sounds, he played very well in the first leg against Bayern. He was the only player, along with Valdes if I recall, who actually did the jobh expected of them and was generally positioned correctly. Everyone else on the pitch was a joke in that match. So many Bayern attack ended with Pique clearing it, and being the only Barca player who showed any aptitude whatsoever for reading the most likely path of the ball before it was played.

I watched every game of the U-21s to get my Isco fix and he was fantastic for Spain in the first two games of the group stage. He was a little bit less impressive over the final 3 games but was still very capable. I wasn't familiar with him coming into the tournament but left very impressed. He is definitely ready for a big move. 30m sounds like a lot to me but more and more teams are going to require teams to pay buyout clauses.

Not his fault that Erik Hamren is as shit as he is, he has also been extremely unlucky constantly getting injured before national team matches, sometimes it has sounded like the club just faked it to get him to stay as he wasn't going to play anyway lol. Wiland is the best keeper we've had in years if not ever.
