Agree with Viva (surprise surprise). Lot of talk about Verratti leaving, Ibra leaving, Thiago Silva leaving. And it isn't like Thiago leaving Barca because he doesn't get enough game time or Rooney leaving United because he's alienated everyone there, it's because PSG aren't as big a club as others round Europe. Ibra and Verratti have openly courted Italy and Juventus, Thiago Silva to Barcelona. Right now, all they have is money. Location of course comes into it, but prestige as a club? Both they and Monaco lag behind Chelsea, Man United, Barca and Madrid, Bayern, Milan and Juventus.

Nope, but both Cristiano and Florentino have stated their intent the past week to continue the Ronaldo/Madrid relationship.

Ronaldo is definitely going to try and get that contract into it's final year.

At that point no matter what he does, stay at Madrid or go elsewhere, he is guaranteed to get paid big time.

It might not even be the worst thing for Madrid. They could keep him for 2 more years, get 100 goals out of him and then he would leave. Fair enough - you lose a great player for nothing, but I'd have doubts about Ronaldo's form going into his 30's and any contract renewal is gonna be huge as it is but cost much more due to the extra tax surplus Madrid would have to pay.

You think PSG is above Arsenal (outside financial clout)?

I hope John Ruddy turns Chelsea down if Norwich accept a bid. Would be a terrible move on his part in every department but financially.

Debatable. They definitely aren't on club name alone but the other clubs I mentioned are in contention for league and European titles, whereas there's massive question marks over Arsenal's ability to challenge.

PSG are one of two clubs that will win the league without fail in France.

How's work, Arnie?

Harder now that Mickey will be rocking yellow and Suarez will be playing naughty through balls to Aaron Ramsey?

Easier now you've got a fuckload of free chicken?

Yes, because they have a chance of winning silverware.
In Ligue 1, though.

Wonder if that has the same allure. Suppose a trophy is a trophy.

Yeah I suppose. I think if we get our mojo back this season it'll be different.

Arsenal consistently compete in Europe.

Ice cold. Also, tarnish notte how Farsa failed to defeat PSG. They only progressed literally on the away goal rule. PSG is bigger than some of ye realise, they aren't mancity, the players are actually decent.
You're mixing up 'bigger' and 'stronger'.

PSG is stronger than Arsenal, but Arsenal is bigger. You feel me?

Good, but very daunting. I can't complain, it's tiresome waking up early, and it's a completely new field so I've got a lot to learn, but when I put it into perspective it's a fucking sweet job to be doing at my age.

Got those cards on my desk ready for a heavy night this week, when I come in from work sweating from the tube, it's 7pm, and I just need some hot fucking chicken.

I'm working in Sony HQ on Friday at an event that will include the first playable PS4 in Europe.

Being there and going on the round of 16 is just not enough, sorry.
Same goes for Milan :(
I think Arsenal always make a really good go of it and don't embarrass the EPL like City.

In the past four years we've went out against Barcelona twice, Bayern Munich & AC Milan.

Ah yes I did mix it up, my bad..... Stronger AND Bigger PSG are. PSG are actually winning trophies unlike arsenal :O

Arsenal is, historically, the bigger club. Current form, however, puts PSG ahead.

But that's a lame excuse. It's like saying "well, yeah, Milan is the best club because Inter are worse"

True but I reckon between Arsenal vs PSG, say a player wants to go to the next level and wants trophies hrm? which would they pick? PSG should be the answer. Liverpool would have more luck in the transfer market if arsenal was the right answer. Liverpool is bigger than Arsenal historically after all.

Ligue 1 trophies? PSG is better, but they're not going to win any important titles either.

You know, I had a feeling you were Yoda.

I am known only as Turok_TTZ or Turok_ITK. Who the hell is Yoda?

You're missing the point. PSG sure they may not a cl or even a europa league trophy. But, they are in a much better position and state than Arsenal are as far as chances of winning x trophy goes. At least PSG won the league title. Shows they actually have the capacity to win something. And that my friend is the difference between PSG and Arsenal right now.

I just think that going out against arguably the best team of all time (Barcelona) and the current best team in the world (Bayern Munich) is nothing to be ashamed of.

Arsenal's European record may look poor on paper, but I don't think it tells the full story.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
Mad we haven't signed Khedira's replacement yet. Khedira is the same player since the day we signed him 3 years ago. zero improvement since that time. Lacking technical ability, Lacking tactical awareness and positioning, too damn sluggish/stiff/slow. A decent tackler at least but he is good at nothing save physicality. average at almost everything, it will bother me a lot if he continues to start and not improve.

you cannot come soon enough Illarramendi!

You bought Casemiro who will be an excellent midfielder. Just because he's not some £40m wanker doesn't mean he can't do the job. A joke club like Madrid would do well to stop chasing galacticos aren't start using the quality young players they have already. Players like Varane, Carvajal and Morata are Madrid's best bet for success in the future.

As I said, historically Arsenal is better. As of now, PSG is a pretty good side and could probably beat most of PL teams, including Arsenal.

I hear that kid has problems. He parties too much even for brazilians. Also, too many brazil mates tell me he is a scrub :(.

Christ it was hot today.

Irish people aren't built for the sun. Went for a walk at lunch today and the amount of girls in short skirts and tops was a sight to behold.

The only thing holding Arsenal back is their inability to push deals over the line. We target the right players, scouting is good, Wenger is excellent as a team manager throughout the season but Wenger should give the okay to pursue a player and then take a hands off while someone competent completes the deal.

When David Dein was in charge he pushed through deals and we got our targets. Now we have Wenger delaying over 2-3mil and there are several examples of this.

Arsenal solve this issue, which they won't, and we will be on the same level as Man City, Chelsea and United once again but if Wenger, Dick Law and co continue to negotiate the way that currently do we will stay a top 4 club and nothing more.
