It's an interesting question: how do we measure greatness within football management? We as fans probably have an entirely different metric to what those in the sport have.

easy: we look at barcelona and football as a whole before guardiola.

then we compare it with guardiola's barcelona.

finally, we reach the conclusion that guardiola's built the greatest football team in the history of the sport.

His biggest decisions were to play Messi up front and sell Eto'o

Arsene wat r u doing

I think his logic is.

1. Madrid want to keep Higuain, and not sell him to us.

2. Madrid therefore not overly keen on Suarez at this moment.

3. We need a striker.

4. Buy Suarez.

Whilst forgetting at the time that we really aren't going to want to strengthen you guys when, at this moment in time at least, you are the most likely team to drop out of the top 4 spots that we want so badly.

That aside, I wonder if the Thiago money will be used for Reina?

Shit goalkeeper, shit defenders most of who aren't even defenders (Pique who has never reached his potential), greatest midfield of all time, don't play strikers.

No.

When Barce get exposed, they look woeful.

My bad, double post.

Higuain staying at Madrid is mind boggling considering the stories that have came out about his time there. I would love Suarez, but at all costs? I'm not so sure.

That article also says that Arsenal is Fellaini's dream move, and Arsene wants him to. But of course we need to sign two strikers before making any move. I mean... I'm speechless.

This is painful :(, and it's the Arsenal I'm used to.

who cares about having shit players when you're able to pass around the ball on your opponent's half 90% of the time? and just because they're shit defenders (pique used to be a pretty decent defender) doesn't mean they aren't great footballers. with tiki taka, football starts from the back, you cannot keep the ball circulation that high when your defenders are vidic and ferdinand.

and not playing with a central forward is genius.

(valdes is definitely a shit keeper, but he has been instrumental in their way of playing football)

This is great.

http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsenal-increase-their-bid-for-badboy-luis-suarez-8702907.html

TLDR:

Arsenal preparing another bid for Suarez. Unlikely to now get Higuain, Fellaini or Julio Cesar.

Also suggests Madrid unlikely to move for Suarez in this window.

Arsenal making Suarez their primary focus? That's insanely risky.

I really can't believe we entertain spending so much money on him. What wages is he on ? Surely he will be looking for a healthy increase which is something we won't be able to afford.

Also when was the last time a PL team bought a truly great player? In the mold of Falcao, Cavani, Ibra..

You rarely see it any more. Players are even passing up PL teams to play in Ligue 1.

And Arsene pls. Don't just go after Suarez as your major target, you'll need backups!

It feels like this is the backup after Higuain stalled.

I think he's currently one either £80k or £110k per week, depending on if his performance bonuses carry over from last season.

What you can offer him that we can't is CL football, but he left Ajax for us when they were in the CL and we were languishing in the bottom half of the table, so I doubt that will be enough. At a bare minimum, you'd have to convince him that you'd at least match his wages and that he'd be winning something sognificant in the next year or two.

NOOOOOO FADYYYYYY!!! Why did I move him anywhere near that car that was on fire, he didn't deserve that.

Viva is an insane sniper.

I hope I was able to serve you well before my death bro!

Haha he actually bites at it too?? That's pretty cool.

United-Bros we're not signing any midfielders.

Much time is left bro, you may sign more players than you think ;)
