I hope we go in for a new CB as that is a necessity. Taylor must go. Williamson, Coloccini, Yanga Mbiwa and *insert new CB here* would be good. I'd accept Richards as he can function at both RB (which we could do with cover for) and CB and he's cheap.

Yesterday's game showed a lot of positivity for us though, especially for players like Aarons, Cabella, Colback and Perez.

When Tiote and de Jong come back we'll look very strong and solid in midfield. I'd drop Sissoko for Colback to join with Tiote as Sissoko looks proper off the mark. Colback's a god damn red headed monster in midfield.

Stick Cabella and Gouffran on the wings and that would be my ideal midfield.

I disagree about Sissoko, I thought he was one of our standout players yesterday. Last season I wasn't sure about him. At all. But if he keeps up the level he played at yesterday I'd be very pleased.

I'm still really happy with how we played though, compared to last season it was night and day.

Surely United can't loan Fellaini out unless they're getting a midfielder in, no matter how shit he is.

Herrera, Fletcher, Cleverley for 4 months until Carrick has recovered.

Is that how long Carrick is out for? FUCK.

Despite his performances last season with Carrick and Herrera in midfield would like to think our ball retention and passing choices would be a step up from how it is currently.

Hey guys, I am thinking of getting a Samsung Evo 840 for my Sony vaio F series from 2010.

The problem is that the BIOS is locked and so I can't change to AHCI. My driver says it is IASTOR.sys, is this AHCI and is it good enough for an EVO????

I posted this in a tech thread, but anyone her able to answer this?

I do find Salazar's protected account (and this applies to anyone with one) to be pretty weird frankly but I guess he is a teacher and he doesn't want his school kids reading up on him I suppose.

Looking at the Sky chart, Liverpool and Chelsea have spent the most but aren't close to having the highest net spend when you account for their outgoings.

Arsenal, United and City will probably be fairly high. I know the former sold Vermaelen, and City sold Rodwell, but they were fairly minor deals.
We've got a bit more money than that with the Vela money coming in and pretty much the last of the deadwood (Bendtner, Park etc) off the wage books.

Our net spend is lower than it would appear at first glance.

Although, of course, that could very well change in the next two weeks.

I didn't realise it was quite windy at Anfield.

Mig did very well in goal then with his saves.

May also explain a bit about our disjointed nature.

Reina on his Bayern move:

"I'm so excited to add my name to the list of players like Bernd Dreher, Stefan Wessels, Tom Starke and others who I had to look up on the internet. Everyone has made me feel so welcome, especially the fans. They've shown me nothing but wariness and indifference, which has been lovely."

"I used to imagine going to the manager and saying, 'Am I playing today, boss?' and him saying 'No.' At last, my dream is a reality."

"Manuel Neuer is a great player, but there's only room for one goalkeeper on that bench, and that's me," said the 31-year-old. "If he wants to dislodge me, he's going to have to do something extraordinarily bad."

Feeling like we're going to come out looking like this tonight...

----------Courtois---------

Ivan--Cahill--Terry--Azpil

-------Matic----Cesc-------

Willian---Oscar---Hazard

------------Costa--------------

I don't think Schurrle is completely ready and I actually prefer Willian who I rate higher anyway. Behind Hazard and Matic--for the second half of last season--Willian was our best player on that half of the pitch.

Luis might start, but last years back four did the business for us well enough, so I don't see any reason why we wouldn't go the safe route for the opener.

It was the bloody mistral at Old Trafford

But no excuses. Onto the next radically confounding reminder that Darren Fletcher is one of our key midfield options.

You've done yourself there m8 by quoting an image which shows that he's had 40 goals and 22 assists for Arsenal.

Donkey, no doubt, but a relatively good one at that.

No trace of mockery in it. Them is handsome stats.

Di Marzio saying Arsenal have made Rabiot a "very rich" offer and he could come to us.

Manolas/Sanchez/Rabiot, damn, Juventus are fast becoming our new transfer rivals.

City have received £10.25 from Rodwell and £2m from Barry. Should get at least £5-6m between Guidetti and Sinclair. Richards maybe £4-5m and who knows about Nastasic -- at least £10m. We are also getting some sort of loan fee from Valencia for Zucilini. Should end up with £20m net spend at most (not including future variables).

You both forgot Garcia. City has bought for £49.9m and sold Rodwell and Garcia for ~£25m. They might get another £10m for Nastasic, and if they get a couple of millions for Sinclair, Richards and Guidetti they won't have a big net spend at all.

Why not just create a personal twitter account with no reference to your identity?

At the moment, twitter is an icy fucking torrent of libido-quashing updates from GDS, TuttoSport, O Jogo, Sport, Mundo Deportivo, The Times, Banned Paper, random Chilean student types, some infamous fraud called Ben Fairthorne, Tanc, some git Zabo heard from on the casino grapevine, Bild, Sport1, "Mr Allegri", and any other mini-brained black-hearted twat who wants to chip in and darken my waking hours.

I'm not going to overthink it at the moment.

Don't you start.

If I was a teacher I'd probably do the same. I sometimes wonder what clients might think if they see me giving it down the banks to Clattenburg.

One day I'll remove myself from the grid.

Not really rivals if they keep failing to sign them.

I hope Rabiot is ready for the first team, going to be a bit annoying if we're bringing him in with the next few years in mind when it's such a key position that needs strengthing.

to be honest, I don't like having many followers, my RL account was an absolute nightmare. The less the better.

it also makes it easier to say personal life shit and bitch about some people I know

Luis will start at lb and azpili at rb, schurrle will start for willian if I had to guess.

Not sure what the future holds for Branna with 1 year left on his deal but considering how much Jose likes azpili I don't see Branna starting ahead of him anytime soon

Doh, I felt like I was forgetting someone -- good call. To think that City could significantly improve the overall squad and come out spending a net of less than £10m in transfer fees after bringing in 6 players (one for half a season) is incredible.

I'll be annoyed if Courtois doesn't start as I've already used my transfer for next week, but I have Krul as my back-up so I'll still get a few points after he subs in, then sell Courtois after next game week. I don't think Chelsea can risk it though to be honest. He's only got 2 years left.. if he gets down to 1 year without extending, that'll get pretty dicey.

I'm getting into BPL again. I got into it a bit a couple world cups ago and started following Aresenal. But eventually faded as it was such a hassle with the limited TV coverage in the US back then. With the NBC contract now it's super eas with every game either on TV or online. I watched all the televised games this weekend, and have the Chelsea game set to DVR and watch tonight.

I was happy Aresenal managed to nab the 3 points, but not that it was such a struggle at home against Crystal Palace. Man City I thought was the most impressive so far opening week, Newcastle played vest well against them too.
