Okay.
Here are the parts of the conversation with Madrid players which was behind closed doors.
3 opinions from players from Madrid when Mou was still coach.
No goalkeeper, so we can rule out Iker
He was talking to the players in 2013, the atmosphere after the conversation became more toxic and there was alot of fighting between pro- and anti Mou fans as we know.
Player 1 (he is pretty honest, allthough not really an analyst)
He said with a frowning expression, he isn't sure if that's right.Football is a game after all and no war.
Mourinho still tries to fuel hatred into the competition, for him it's necessary.
However, everyone still has to get along which each other.
Even topics that have nothing to do with things on the pitch, Mourinho only knows, either he is my friend or foe, that kept the player anxious.
The player even thought about going to the press and make a statement, but as the captain didn't do it, he never made an attempt.
Player 2 (the brightest player of the team in 2013)
He was really disgusted with the situation at the beginning of 2013.He could understand when Mou was criticising the calendar when it was a disadvantage for Real Madrid.Over the time, it became clear that Mou only used these things to create an atmosphere of conspiracy. This was used to an, we against the rest mood.
Who didn't participate or had the balls the speak up, was an outsider without a proper explanation.
The person was bullied and anybody who took his side shared the same fate.
The player never experienced a changing room with such a poisonous and negative atmosphere. The team is as split as the fans.
That could never end will, at first he was believing that Mou was sneaky tactician regarding the press and the surroundings, when he arrived. Now he knows that you're either his friend or his foe, there is nothing in between.
A normal relation between player and and coach isn't known to Mou.
Everybody who participated in his "we against the rest" atmosphere, was a friend.Three players stood up and had the balls to speak up every once in a while when it was too much.
They faced the consequences for this behaviour though.
The biggest perception the player had was the fact that Mou isn't playing games, he is really like that and it's pretty dangerous for those who're not willed to follow the leader. The first year it was still bearable, but it's getting worse.
He believes that Mou with his behaviour, could never coach a team for a long time, this bomb in form of Mou will always blew up.
Player 3 ( in my opinion a good guy, no one new inside the team and someone who got his own opinion)
He doesn't understand the fuss about Mou.
The coach only tries to create a collective team.
This is something he experienced back at the boy scouts, when the leader was leading the team to victory.
Mou is someone who does not take shit from nobody.Of course, every once in a while he get's a bit over the top, but that's the way he is.
You have to create clear image of the enemy and speak up, if there is injustice.
He wants to create a competetive team, and everyone has to step up, if they want it or not.
(When I asked him about the atmosphere in the team and how it's like, he said that : )
It wasn't pleasent, but it's all about winning and you have to accept it.
Some teammembers sadly had completely different viewpoints, something the player couldn't understand.
We're fighting for the same object/goal, and the coach is the boss after all.
We have to follow him, no matter what he wants.
