YURTTTTT

Where the fuck have you been.

Wilbur was a wreck without you.
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? What happened, what did he do/say :lol

I went to Sensation's concert! The music was fucking dire but the crowd was pretty amazing and overall the night was utterly brilliant...and memorable :lol

Gone Girl was pretty great too! Rosamund Pike stole every scene, and my heart.
Back in the 90s I had an Italian friend. He was AC Milan fan. I admired that so much. Italian football was the shit back then. And in the 00s I feared Juve because every time we played them we lost. Fucking dead Delle Alpi haha. It was the worst.
in the 90s?? Wat are you talkin about m89, Serie A was top back then!
Where did it go wrong, Yurt? Where?
crippled by Italian football, allow me to quote Agnelli (read it all pls)

The club today announced a record turnover of over €300m, but Agnelli believes Italian clubs are failing to compete with those in England, Spain and Germany.

“Is everything ok then?” Agnelli pondered after pinpointing the Premier League as an example to follow to club shareholders.

“No. All you have to do is look at the situation in Italian football with a minimum of detachment and without partisanship to recognise a progressive decline.

“Someone in the establishment tried to argue that, since Italy as a whole has lost ground in every other sector, then the growth of our industry [football] - albeit lower than other countries - should reassure us.

“This is not the case, because the growth is linked exclusively to the evolution of the television market.

“Less than 20 years ago, England, Spain and Germany looked to Italy as an example. Today we have been overtaken in every respect - revenue, sustainability of businesses, sporting results, filling stadiums and UEFA ranking.

“Today we’re struggling to defend fourth [in the UEFA coefficient] from Portugal.”

The Bianconeri President hailed the club’s return to the top 10 clubs in Europe in terms of turnover, but warned Italian clubs are limited structurally.

“The level of turnover that we’re presenting today confirms Juventus as one of the top 10 clubs in the world, and our UEFA ranking has improved.

“However, our competitors - Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Barcelona - have significantly outdistanced us.

“No Italian club has been able to grow at their pace, a clear sign of the structural limitations that plague our football.”

Agnelli called on other Serie A clubs to follow the example being set by Juventus, as he sees Italian football falling further and further behind.

“Only 10 years ago, matchdays in Serie A and the Bundesliga generated the same revenue, slightly less than those in La Liga and a third of the revenues in the Premier League.

“We were already a tortoise - today we are a shrimp.

“The Bundesliga and La Liga now generate twice the revenues of our football stadiums, which this year fell below €200m - of which one fifth, 20 per cent was generated by Juventus Stadium.

“The latter remains the only example of a cutting-edge facility [in Italy], but it only represents 1/20th of the total product. It’s not enough.

“Football is about the fans, but the fans and families have abandoned Italian stadiums. Some people blame increased television availability, which is a strange argument, because without TV money Italian football would have died a slow death.

“It still will, if clubs don’t take up a double challenge.

“Domestically, we need to get fans back into popular stadiums. Juventus, thanks to Juventus Stadium has reached a point where we’re at 95 per cent capacity - it’s news when a game doesn’tsell out. The rest of Serie A is constantly below 50 per cent, and falling.

“And then there’s abroad. Italian football has disappeared from the television screens of the big Western markets without getting into new markets.

“Juventus are trying to recover lost ground. Tours and social media give us new capabilities and new markets that will allow us to grow revenues.

“But Juventus will only grow fractionally if the collective product that is Serie A doesn’t do the same.

“Many years ago a book by Simon Kuper called ‘Football Against The Enemy’ was released.

“The author wrote: ‘When the English football fan seeks a better life, he goes to Italy, where he’ll find the world’s best players, games broadcast in full on television and lots of sports papers. The weather is also good’.

“This was Serie A for the English 20 years ago.

“I’m not saying this out of nostalgia. I’m saying this with the ambition that Serie A goes back to being thepoint of reference.”

See that hitch?

You don't have the monopoly on awful puns.

I have a monopoly on the good ones innit

You know I think Liverpool fans expect way too much from Origi. He's just another 19 year old, and he's coming from another league. He's a very good player, but pinning all our hopes on him coming in and transforming our team is dangerous thinking.

I really think if we want to see an immediate impact, we need a Firmino, Volland or Reus.

I just want anyone who isn't Lambert or Borini to play up front with Balotelli, or play instead of him. I'd expect few goals from him, but he could hardly be worse for the way we play than those 3.

Any of you guys ever been unfortunate to watch any of Dads, the recent comedy from the US? Possibly the worst sitcom I've ever seen.

WAIT A MINUTE
We're not to blame for their downfall.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Also just for the record, the title race is still technically closer than in EPL.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

im still grilling chicken manchester united are still losing im three days into movember and i dont have any hair yet
isn't it funny that the only thing that could potentially go right here is the grilled chicken?
Talk about loyalty to the end.
He stayed with a relegated team before and he MADE them, you can't sack your Maker innit. Unless you're Bayern, of course, and in that case you just go and buy/steal someone else's Maker.

Don't laugh about my friend El Chupacabra. Otherwise I will come for you. We are family. #MiaSanMia

But of course you don't know that. Since families have abandoned the Serie A.

WILBUR! What's wrong baby boy

They won't, even if they get relegated.

Klopp would be the one to get them promoted again I suppose.

Rodgers should realize he manages Liverpool and Swansea. Buy players that match that

I think the players he's bought have been fine for the most part, just a few baffling decisions for a few players like Markovic and Balotelli (Allen was probably our best player during Rodgers' first six months but he got a back injury and hasn't looked the same since).

Aye. Thinking about seeing Dracula Untold tomorrow. It might not be totally shit.

Cannot be worse than Manchester United's defense.

Shaw is brilliant, mate. Rapid, composed, a bit cunning, mongrel enough to kick folks up in the air.

Rafael is, to quote Phil Collins, always in my heart.

I'm not talking about the rest of them.

First episode of Hardcore History is bizarre. He's shouting for some reason, and there are loads of ill-fitting sound effects, it's like the scenes in Always Sunny when Dennis and Dee are making a podcast

Episodes 2 and 3 are far better produced

Yeah, it takes a while to become the show it is now, but there is some good stuff in those early episodes from what I can remember.

I think you have to love him.

Fun fact: Shaw cost more than the entire of City's back 4 (that played yesterday) combined.

Funner fact: Mangala cost the same amount of money it would take to absolve Ethiopa of all debt, and allow every citizen of the country above the age of 18 a yearly wage of £12,000 for 29 years

Funnest fact: Mangala is shit

I'm pretty happy with all of our signings bar Rojo. So it's a bit of a pisser that we're not doing better in the league.

Shaw can play for us for the next 11-12 years as first choice LB. That's a stupid comparison.

And Mangala wasn't playing because he was injured.

We're so shit. So, so shit.

Joe pls.
Unbelievable.. We have scored 37 goals and conceded 10. That takes our Goal Difference to +27. Barcelona is in second place in the league in terms of most goals scored: 23, Valencia is tied having scored 23 goals as well - oh and tightening our defensive line-up playing 4-4-2 isn't too shabby either.

What a time to be alive, all is right in the world.

Hala Madrid!
Glad to see Carletto is doing a great job, enjoy him while he's still with Real Madrid :(

Rojo hasn't looked the best, but has still been better than anybody else in that left footed CB role. I still think if we can get a set back 4 playing for a proper run of games, Rojo could settle down better.

Btw, Do we know his injury status?

Dislocated his shoulder according to LvG.

...hate me...
Mangala hasn't been fully fit yet nor completely adapted to the EPL so his start has been rough but he is a great CB who's going to prove himself soon enough.

But I guess City are always prime targets for #bantz and especially vulnerable this season as Chelsea seem to have the title in the bag already.

However City are still more likely to be stronger contenders for the title than Arsenal, Utd and Liverpool next season and the one after that.

I woke up so bitter.

The slip will be my end on this forum. Poetic, really.

I was close to a permanent ban following it and I'll no doubt request one in the coming months when Liverpool's situation looks comparatively dire.

I'll make sure to leave you all a lovely message before I go, though.

I've been here since 2007. Sometimes you just have to let go.
