Just seen St Vincent. Was good, if a little formulaic. Bill Murray is great tho, he plays sarcasm so well. I can't stand Mellisa McCarthy, but she's surpringly alright in the film lol.

Their football team (Centre d'Esports l'Hospitalet) who drew with Atletico today is in the 3rd tier of Spanish football. I wonder if someone will buy this guy Rubén Alcaraz Jiménez since he scored twice today.

But rushmore and the royal tenenbaums are both good indicators whether you're willing to stay with his style a bit more than say, fantastic mr fox or grand budapest which are entirely wes anderson films. Rushmore and tenenbaums are muted anderson sensibilities but still obviously him

New years resolutions never work out well for me because they're always these lofty goals with a nebulous deadline. Every evening before bed, I write a few lines about how I've improved myself since waking up this morning. It forces me to actually go out and try to improve myself because there's nothing sadder than looking at blank page.
On one hand, Benfica losing is up there with the greatest orgasms of all time. On the other, they can fully devote to the league.

The Royal Tenenbaums. It's amazing how good that movie is when Gene Hackman was making everyone's life a hell in set because he didn't want to make the movie.

Yeah, i have a tendency to stay up late and wake up late. Living like a student even though i'm not.
Will try and get up earlier and go running. I really do like running, but I was previously doing that couch to 5k programme which is great but forces you to listen to shitty techno pop music instead of what i'd actually like to listen to. The podcasts tell you when to go and when to stop but are accompanied by horrible music.

The league is gone for us. We dropped to many stupid points already but I still think Porto will end up winning it. Enzo, Maxi and probably some other player will be gone by January and Benfica will suffer a bit from that.

Oh yeah, but we have like 8 times as many people as Spain does or something so that's no big surprise. This is apparently their 16th largest city in Spain... most of the others we're familiar with at a minimum due to having football teams in La Liga but these guys are minnows. I think I've maybe heard Llobregat referred to before so maybe people just skip the first part.
And I agree, Royal Tenenbaums is Wes' best film. One of my absolute all time favorites.

oh, I watched the original earlier in the year and i found it a pretty decent action movie
But if you hold the door on january first you can't write that anymore. Because after you've done it it's not really an improvement anymore. It's more like a good deeds list
On the topic, I did a good deed today. I filled out some girls question form for her research. What a time to be alive.

Yeah it's not mad shit like "Today I learned how to fly an F16 raptor" or anything like that. Like I spend about a half a day improving my german so I'll write down, "I now know words x, y, z in german" or when I go for a jog I'll write down "I ran x km in y minutes". I also do it for interesting facts I learned from watching tv or reading or whatever.
I dunno, I feel like it does a good of shaming myself out sitting down and doing fuck all every day. It also forces me to read/watch/play something new rather than falling into my comfort zone.
