A couple of things, do feel free to disagree:

- Messi is not worth £275m at 27 years old and past the peak of his career

- Emre Can at 21 (today) and for £10m is fucking sensational when compared to a 25 year old, £30m and largely ineffective Ander Herrera

m8 did you not see his goal against yeovil

Did you not see his goal against Chelsea?

No, me fucking neither, but I jumped like I did.

Also, Sporting lads, is Carrillo any good? Apparently our scouts were watching him against Braga. Carvalho and his agent are desperate for us to bid for him but we don't fancy it. Give 'em shit but our scouts are good lads. Big Willy tactics aren't for us.

Personally think Herrera being dropped has coincided with us playing our worst football by and large.

I think LvG's use of him so far has been one of the biggest black marks against him (next to 3-5-2).

I like Herrera.

Can someone post some gifs of Arsenal's new Patrick Viera, Krystian Bielik.

Preferably doing some fancy spins and then not losing the ball.

Gives the ball away too much, goes missing in games, struggles in his own half, isn't versatile AT ALL.

25 years old.

£30 million (don't know the exact figure, please enlighten me).

Scoring against Yeovil isn't enough. Blind is a superb signing. Herrera is woeful.

Especially compared to our Can.

Finally gotten around to viewing Marco Polo. Watched the first two eps and thought they were ok. Some interesting characters and visuals, but very little is actually happening.

Just got back from my scouting trip to Poland.

Looks like he can play a nice pass now and again.

Tall boy.

Looks strong.

The new Matic.

I'm the other way around. Found Herrera to be quite good and Blind to be largely ineffectual.

Just googled arsenal transfer and saw that Hamburg is bidding for him. We will lose that bidding war of course.

This is Arsenal.

Reliably informed Dick Law will be in Warsaw tomorrow to try and finalise a deal to sign Krystian Bielik. Legia want £2.5m upfront. #afc

Dick Law is all over it. Don't worry.

if you've watched United for the past 3 seasons and seen the utter dross we've had to put up with for midfielders you'd think otherwise

Blind is good, Herrera is a step above, youre just letting Blind's good looks fool you

I think he does give the ball away too much and has his moments when he doesn't provide the defensive cover he should, but I very much disagree on your points on going missing and not being versatile.

During his initial run of games in the league early season where he was starting he got 2 goals and 3 assists, before LvG decided to drop him.

I don't quite get your love for Can. He's not done much wrong, but then he's not done much of note at all. And I don't think Rodger's use of him at CB is necessarily a stellar endorsement of someone who was bought as a CM.

God that was so funny. Shame the wings were a disgrace.

Let's do it again.

I think Herrera's a better player, Blind's had a better season. I do really like Ander but he gives the ball away so fucking much. So rash in possession.

What I liked the most about Blind's performance at left back is the few crosses he put in. It reassured my hate towards Valencia's awful crossing syndrome.

Imagine looking back on life and realizing you were never able to fully enjoy watching one of your own players win the most prestigious individual award of all time (the Ballon d'Or) because you had to spend it rooting for Arsenal.

What a shame.

Have we sold Naughton, Adebayor, Kaboul and Paulinho yet?
Have we bought Ings or Berahino, Can or Wanyama yet?

Blind isn't quick enough to be a LWB, then again we shouldn't be playing them. LVG is a great coach but can be too stubborn. I honestly think he'll stick with 3-5-2. Prove me wrong Aloysius.

I don't understand why these "journos" are stupid enough to the point that they believe anybody will actually pay 250 million euros for Messi.

The player wants out, does nobody play FM? His value is going down.

yup. A player that doesn't want to play for your team isn't worth what you ask for him. What are you going to do? Sit him on the bench or park him in the reserves for a season, paying his wages and getting 0 utility from him? Then you can get even less next transfer season.

But it's Messi, his value won't drop like a rock by virtue of who he is and how much tax he doesn't pay.

Imagine if you grew up with no role models so you were forced to look up to superstars as father figures, so you supported two of the richest clubs in Europe, one of which you seem not to care about . And instead of actually watching both of those two teams you spent your sports time trolling people on the internet for no reason.

What a shame.

Well it has to be put into context.

Until Burnley on Boxing Day he'd played around 150 minutes of Premier League football, mostly because he's a 20 year old defensive midfielder coming into a new league in a team with a lot of established international footballers at various levels.

Unlike yourselves we don't have a midfield that's made of peanut butter, so it isn't easy for a genuine prospect to get a game. It isn't an area of the pitch that you can leave to chance.

Then at Burnley he came in as a right sided centre back in a fluid three, and the main ball carrier into midfield. So don't let the position fool you, he's doing a lot of work playing around midfield and also doing a great job of defending aerial balls and working an exposed channel.

Since Burnley he's put in four performances of sublime quality (he isn't banging in goals so you'd have to watch him actually play football to notice) and he's still phenomenally young. He's making central defenders look sloppy and central midfielders look lightweight. He even had a stint at attacking midfield that made Liam Bridcutt look fucking ridiculous.

He's just turned 21 and he's suddenly become undroppable. And he cost £10 million. In five years time, once he's Herrera's age, he'll be an absolute monster. Probably for Bayern but I'll enjoy him whilst he's here. We're all in need of some laughs.
