thanks for the laugh
i'm sure he's a nice guy and everything, but fletcher sounds like a nightmare signing for us. breaks just about every one of the rules we've put in place to stop allardyce pulling a redknapp. last thing we need is another passenger out there.

Maybe Villa fans should try this, as least if they can't be high scoring they can score a high.

Unless you consider Chelsea or City as english teams

As obnoxious as it is in terms of not being able to sign really talented young players, the work permit difficulty makes it pretty hard for any team in the UK to do anything that isn't considered above board as far as regulations go. Any young kid who comes to a club might train with them but doesn't actually sign any sort of contract (scholarship papers initially) until he is 16. I've watched the young teams under 16 and they're basically all English with the odd outlier. We did have an American kid (Danny Barbir) but he's at West Brom now. He's got a European passport as well and was just trialing with the youth team.

I just go straight to youtube to watch the trailers

Just started watching Banshee and it's not a bad little time killer.

It's fuck loads better than that young-adult Arrow wank if you want to watch some fun mindless action.

And tits.

Developing a website for a local client, work in progress but let me know what you guys think (the online ordering is still not 100%)

Here.

When scrolling through the images at the top, having multiple ways of transitioning from one image to another reminds me of children using powerpoint at school. It makes it seem amateur. Use one effect and stick with it.

Also the url seems to be in some sort of made up language.

Have the images at bottom just appear in place, no fly in or whatever it does.

I finally watched a few episodes this weekend as well. Have you seen Strike Back? It's good as well -- Cinemax (with the help of Sky in Strike Back's case) makes some damn good action shows surprisingly. It's a shame they don't put them on HBO Go or something here because they're not very well known. No one really watches that channel these days.

...hate me...
Chelsea-Bradford reminds of a game I had this weekend against a 5 times Div 1 champion in FIFA 15.

He was up 2-0 by the 24th and I turned around to 4-2 before half-time. Shit was crazy.

However, I scored an additional 2 and conceded none in the second half, thus bringing the final score to a 6-2.

Where is L1NETT's god now.

I miss these game designs.

Absolutely. Games that have an initial play through of like 8-12 hours but can then be beat in like a quarter of that because you know where to go and what to do are my favourite. A lot of my favourite games are structured like this (the original Resi formula, MGS1, Shenmue)

I do enjoy the occasional romp through a totally linear game but I do wish there were more games that relied on exploration. And not massive open-world games where you randomly stumble upon things, but smaller areas where everything is placed in such a way that it feels tightly designed without holding your hand.

Getting a new key in Resident Evil games and looking around to see which doors it opens was oddly addictive and satisfying. That style of game has just disappeared.
