looks like Götze's career is done :(

Cooking with the man!

FM2017 stat amendments, pace 5, stamina 4.

Coach report: Poor stamina and pace underpins a lack of general fitness.

We don't know how bad his condition is. He could lose it all, get a muscle injury and be sidelined again.

Can't be good for his mental health either.

He has a condition? Feel a bit bad for the FM jab above lol.

I genuinely thought he just enjoyed cooking with Gotze and was drifting away from wanting to do football.

Götze has Myopathy. Depending on how severe it is, it could make maintaining his career for the next decade extremely difficult.

Sorry to the big man Gotze! Any condition which makes it tougher to stay at the insane level of fitness football requires is rough. Hopefully he can work with it if he still wants to be in football. Look at Darren Fletcher for some inspiration.

They're already in the quarters that's impressive no matter who you are, never mind being someone who's biggest claim to fame before the last 2/3 years was being the team Gary Lineker supports!
Yeah fair enough, I'm just sad Sevilla lost :(

Congrats to them of course

They also brought us Emile Heskey

Fuck the haters, for awhile Heskey and Owen were excellent for Liverpool.

Pogba is not a Ballon D'Or level player, he never was and he never will

Selling him for that money is the biggest robbery in recent history.

Nahh. You better thanks that to MU rather than simply Pogba. If Pogba stayed at Juve,

Juve midfield will have Pogba, Khedira, Marchisio and Pjanic. That will the best Midfield Juve can field after losing Vidal and Pirlo.

With the current Midfield crisis, the only thing we get is double Pivot between Khedira and Pjanic while Marchisio is regaining his vitality after the injury. Pogba moving to MU is easily the most baffling move i had ever see.

Can't agree there. It's the afternoon so it's still a bit early to handle shitposting :p

Pogba is young, he needs to knuckle down and take a page from Cristiano's book at Old Trafford. We have the facilities and staff to help good players become great.

The issue with Pogba is his off the field attitude, and on the field, the sighing and moaning. Some of that may be immaturity, but yes, someone like Zlatan needs to knock some sense into Pogba. Issue with Zlat is as much of a leader and presence as he is, he isn't a "United player". We really lack the days of having United through and through players, who really sorted out the young players and didn't take the club for granted.

This also. While in Juve, we can see him even with his diva attitude, Buffon, BBC, Khedira and Mandzukic make sure that he won't ever go over his head. There is senior there which will teach him a lesson of humility but the moment he move to MU, i see him getting too far ahead as MU let him do all shit which i believe also cause his playing skills to degrade.

Of course there's luck in football. It's not everyday you get a team who misses 2 PK's, & hits the bar twice in a circumstance where scoring any one of them would've gotten them through. Sevilla didn't win the tie on their own accord, & their own bad luck.

Either way, Leicester won't be doing much in the CL & I look forward to seeing yet another English team get dominated in the CL.
'Looking forward to seeing and English team get dominated'. No need to be like that, man.

Sevilla didn't lose because of bad luck, they lost because they played worse than Leicester. Two shit penalties, few shit shots. That isn't 'bad luck', that's playing poorly. That doesn't make Sevilla a shit team, they just got out-played. I saw people saying how lucky Sevilla got with Liverpool last year and argued with them too. Leicester hardly did what Barca did against PSG and just keep diving to get penalties.

It happens on here.

If the team currently placed 15th in La Liga beat the team placed 3rd in the Premier League there would be a shit load of posts.

"LOL best league in the world!!! Lol lol lol lol"
"Premier league best league lol"
"English football clearly the greatest. lol"

If Leicester somehow miraculously win the Champions League, and Man United win the Europa League, would that mean the two teams finishing 3rd and 4th would miss out on Champions League football next season?

With the bolded someone could just reply "PSG played badly by not diving or managing the ref as well as Barca did"

But yeah, I hate this line of thinking. If a team miss two pens and a load of other chances then yes, they do only have themselves to blame, but they are still unlucky. The fact that a team ultimately choked doesn't negate them playing well before doing so.

I would consider cheating - diving for penalties [/b]is[/b] cheating, sorry, doesn't matter who does it - to be 'playing badly' because they know they can't win without it but I'll take your point.

But yeah, I get it and do agree with you.

Yeah, there's a lot of animosity towards the PL and I've never quite figured out why, its a really fun league to watch and even if it isn't, why hate?

It's called talking trash breh, it's very common among sports fans. If those teams win, they go to CL regardless of league position, the CL winner rule was created when Liverpool beat Milan and the EL rule is a more recent rule change.

Leicester has no chance to win the CL. If they meet Bayern, Barca or Madrid, they're going to end up as a pornhub video after the tie is over.

Agreed.

Barca vs Atletico
Real vs Juve
City/Leis vs Bayern

Lets get it done.

Yah there, I was just being facetious to prove a point really. Dont actually think the bit about PSG not cheating well enough!

Prob just because its an English speaking forum + people in England pushing the "best league in the world" line so much, makes people say enjoy them messing up.

My in laws are Spanish, so I've heard a fair bit of bragging about their dominance of EL/CL from them over the past few years, which is quite satisfying to shoot down whenever possible :p

Meeting Bayern is going to be another crazy game like last year UCL again sadly.T_T

This is a myth. I don't know anybody who thinks the Premier League is the best league in the world.

The only people who say it is are the pundits on Sky or BT who are trying to sell their product.

Um are you forgetting that Pogba started at the club back in the 'old days' when 'old players' lead by example etc. He left because he wouldn't buckled down under Ferguson and do as required. He flourished at Juve playing a different system with Pirlo pulling strings. He's being asked to play a different position under Mou and there's still time for him to grow into the role or fail.

I don't know if he'll ever be a Ballon player simply because only 'strikers' or goalscorers seem to win it these days. Sneidjer should have won it as a midfielder but even as golden boot winner at a World Cup still lost to Messi.

I've been a subscriber for over a year. The beta is fine, it's just a new style player since they have added a ton of channels. For Serie A, you'll likely have to use your fubo.tv credentials on beIN Connect though. Fubo.tv only supports playing beIN 1 and beIN ñ directly thought their app. beIN Connect on PC sucks since it still uses silverlight, but the mobile app supports chromecast if you want to watch on your TV. And you can't DVR games that are outside of the two main beIN channels.

Thanks tim.mbp. I have a Sony TV with Android, so hopefully the Fubo.tv app works OK on it. I'll try and see. I didn't realize they had added channels, I just need better Serie A coverage. The main BeIn channel always shunts it off in favor of whatever provincial team Real or Barca is beating that day. And they show damned paid programs during the early Sunday games. Sad!

I want us to meet Juventus or Atletico.

I would love to see Defender again be represented again there.^^ That Cannavaro winning the Ballon is one of the best moment.^^

But at least in Juve, we don't see Pogba being so huge like now. Even though Juventus and Allegri build the team with Pogba in mind there, everytime he F'up, he will get shouted by all the other veteran player on the pitch immediately. Khedira in UCL there argue with him, Allegri literally called with being inconsistent and need to focus on the game more while all BBC also supported him when Juve is on that losing streak.

The problem with him now in MU, i don't see any of those. No one seems to be allowed to critic Pogba as Mourinho will immediately protect him there. There should be a proper way to teach discipline to Pogba there.

Latest rumors say coman doesn't want to stay in munich and chelsea is interested in a transfer

Damn it. If that is the case, i hope we return Bayern Benatia.T_T He had been quite a liability for our defence recently.T_T And he also hamper Rugani development.T_T

I was referring to the pundits/marketing there, sorry that might not have been clear.

I do also know a few people who do buy into the "best in da wurld" crap though, its definitely not entirely a myth.

Please no. Don't want to see him anymore

Why does juve want to sell coman so badly? He' stil 21 and has a lot of potential.

Because it had been according to Juve policy that we will not use Player which don't want to play for Juve especially when he had talk shit about Juve there.

And of course, Thanks to Juve poaching Coman there, we already burn our bridges with PSG, so it is truly one of the worst signing Juve had ever make there. Selling him ASAP is easily most Juve fans and director want there.

Early rumours were 'a metabolic disorder' then the club clarified that it was Myopathy. No idea what the outlook is for the rest of his career is though.
The club NEVER stated that.
Metabolic disease is the only thing they said and never what specifically it was.
That's just rumor and gossip shit.

Poor Götze.

I mean, what can he do? Apparently even diets won't help with that sickness.
There's a treatment for that and he's reacting positive to it, if everything works out, he might be back for the preseason.
