What are the best sites/twitter accounts for football news? I live the US and defaulted to ESPN's site but I assume there is something better out there.

It depends what competitions you follow.
http://www.goal.com/en is good for overall football news.
http://en.as.com/en/ and http://www.marca.com/en/ is for Spanish news.
http://www.redcafe.net/ a very good Man Utd focused forum.
http://www.voetbalzone.nl/ for those who speak Dutch, probably the best football site for general news.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ Is a site for transfers/statistics/squads. I still don't know how they manage to make such a site. It's truly amazing. I use it all the time.

Bueno finally rejoins Paco Jemez at Granada. Jemez was the only coach who could ever get anything out of him at Rayo so we'll see if they still have the magic.

Here in Portugal sports radio are saying Sporting are doing a Porto by selling Slimani and Adrien as a package like Porto did a couple of years ago with James and Moutinho. Sporting has to pay 20% of the selling fee of Slimani to an agent, so they packaged Adrien and Slimani and then say they sold Adrien for the €45M (release clause) and Slimani for €15M. Apparently Leicester paid 60M for both.

Lazar Markovic could be heading to Sporting or FC Porto on loan with a buy in clause.

How long before Stoke realise Martins Indi can't defend?

When is the next game scheduled?

Fans of the premier league should indeed be hyped, I don't think the other competitions will do much.
I can imagine that there are enough teams in the premier league with a huge transfer budget left (for probably mediocre players).
How long before those inflated fee for mediocre players begin to turn to paying for actual quality players?? I think at the moment, unless the Champions League money increases significantly, there is a more chances that the EPL teams will become burdensome in the transfer market, especially the big EPL teams like Utd, City, Chelsea. I would not be surprised if the next Neymar signs for an EPL team over a LaLiga team

They already do ;) Man City got the biggest Brazilian talent where Real and Barca were also very very interested.
If I talk about mediocre players, I talk price/quality wise. It's just ridiculous what English teams pay for mediocre English players or players in the premier league.

Even Real and Barcelona cannot compete with sugar daddy teams like Man City who invested more than 200 million this transfer window.
Just take Payet for example, Valencia sold all their star players, just like every other team outside the big three did. West Ham and even Leicester can hold on to their star players.
And another thing: the Premier League is just crazy attractive for advertising. Man Utd gets figures Barcelona and Real Madrid can only dream of. Most La Liga teams don't even a shirt sponsor. Even a team like Atletico Madrid couldn't get a good shirt sponsor a few years ago.

But football is changing all the time, nothing is forever. La Liga is finally getting in the global selling of the TV rights and I can't imagine Sky paying these ridiculous sums for that long.
And to conclude, I just want to say that the premier league is worth the money. They did what no other competition did before with their view on monetization and looking at the Asian market. You cannot blame people for doing their job good.

David Luiz is in London

What a joke. All his transfers combined are 110 million euro (if the number of 35 million is true).
For the most overrated player ever.

A bit strange because PSG hasn't invested that much and a player like Jesé is just a big risk and Meunier will never be good enough.

Everton making a late push for Brahimi. FC Porto wants €40M. Don't understand that after they acquired Bolasie.

Isco says he's staying at Real Madrid. AS says Arbeloa goes to West Ham.

Adam Reach reportedly completed a medical at Wednesday.

Figures of up to £7m being touted about. Feels like ridiculous money to me considering our record signing was Paulo Di Canio for £4.5m.. but hey, modern football.

Linked with Jordan Rhodes as well although we have been in literally every single transfer window since about 2011, regardless of how (un)realistic it is. We're not shelling out £10m on a forward. If he moves anywhere today it'll be Norwich or Wolves.

So Valencia aren't able to come to terms with Zenit for Garay and are replacing Alcacer and Mustafi with Munir / Mangala. They're going to finish in the bottom half of the table unless youth players can step up.

City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Boro are the only Premier League clubs not to break their record transfer this Summer.
