It's an odd one as rumours go. As an outsider looking in, Parish seems as good as a fan could hope for.

I've dont anyone I would rather have running the club then Parish, considering how far we come since he took charge (from almost being relegated to League One, to five straight seasons in PL so far), and what players we get to see in the team.

Some fans are in his back constantly, but he is almost always proven right, like with the Tony Pulis saga.

2006, crazy. Just imagine where Bayern was back then?

We just moved into the Allianz Arena. Felix Magath, now in China, was our coach. Roy Makaay was our top goalscorer. We lost 4 – 2 against Allemania Aachen in the third round of the DFB Pokal. Kaka, Pirlo, Seedorf, Inzaghi and Gilardino scored against us in the CL quarter finals. Ali Karimi played in the midfield. Sebastian Deisler was still a thing. A young, but very talented Mats Hummels, was in the reserve team.

Time flies.

Ali karimi was great
if he moved his ass for once

Nothing beats what came next. Klinsmann and his buddha statue. That was our low point.

Are there no Celtic fans in here? Paddy Roberts is 1/2 on Skybet to come back to Paradise! Seems like another loan though - was hoping permanent. A CB now and it's been a solid window.

you're welcome. years of spanish dominance makes me crave for some good old british football. its good that man u is in the CL this year.

Pff, United are boring. Watch Liverpool, you'll enjoy it a lot more

Because at the moment you either get good football where Liverpool play well, or a hilarious implosion - so win/win scenario

I'd say the ghost goal didn't help, or as I more accurately refer to it, the 'ghost - that if it wasn't a goal would have been a red card and a penalty which would have been way worse for your chances of reaching the final - goal'.

Doesn't quite have the same ring to it, does it? He never was one to let facts or common sense get in the way of his rants.

Arsenal Fan TV won't have shit on me if they sell him after the summer we've had

I think it had started before then even - didn't Mourinho shush the Liverpool fans after equalising in the League cup final in his first season too? Its hard to remember from that far back, especially when there were so many games vs Chelsea in the early Rafa years.

And yeah, ArsenalFanTV level hate would be justified - it would be absolute classic Liverpool if after an entire summer going of going after players but not being able to get the club to agree, we capitulate and give in to Barca at the last minute of the window

If that does happen, I can see Liverpool struggling until January with no Coutinho or replacement, and then overpaying for someone in a panic buy in January anyway. There is a total false economy with getting a huge amount of money for Coutinho when its this late in the transfer window, and the season is about to start.

Why does he wear the mask!?
Also, why the fuck do we play Friday, a day before every one else?

Used to be great having the opening game kick off on a Saturday and everybody played

Sky got the rights to show 10 games on Fridays.

Leads in to an eventual plan of having a Friday, 4x Saturday, 4x Sunday and a Monday game basically every week.

I kinda like Friday Night games, nice to be able to watch them when I get in from work.

I thought that ParisUnited (IIRC they broke the Neyman news) said that Aurier had basically agreed terms with United.

We need another RB.

Yeah, just waiting on his hearing regarding his ban.

According to them Chelsea contacted Aurier's agent but he prefers United.

I like to say I wish Chelsea signed anyone but I really worry with us being linked with Drinkwater.....He was good the year they won the league alongside Kante but I would rather have Bakayoko and Chalobah! We need at least one wing back desperately too and I can't believe we've left it this late to find one.

So the Metro (Not sure if reliable) are claiming the Coutinho deal is hours away. Looks like he is going :(

£82 Mil, I think is now cheap in this crazy market

Barcelona are ‘a matter of hours' away from signing Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, according to reports in Spain.

Sport claim that Barca's representatives travelled to Liverpool on Tuesday to conclude a deal and are aiming to unveil the 25-year-old as their new signing later week.

The report claims that Barcelona's offer will be worth €90 million (£82m) plus variables.

Sport also claim that Liverpool's owners have agreed to sell Coutinho to Barcelona, despite strong resistance from Jurgen Klopp, who wants the midfielder to stay at Anfield.

If he goes it will be for more than that.

Nothing on the Nani injustice getting sent off against Real Madrid (cue GAF's RM fans descending on me to tell me I'm wrong (ง ͠° ͟ل͜ ͡°)ง)

Legit feel bad for Liverpool. Somewhat like us having to let go of Ronaldo, except, Coutinho is Liverpool's car boot sale version of Ronaldo ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

We are still linked to Armstrong, would he be good in the Prem?

I have a good feeling that we are gonna win the La Ligs this season. Especially after Barca sold Neymar and have been pretty terrible at reinforcing themselves. Of course that can change this month but if their biggest get will be Coutinho I'll remain happy. We won't win the Champions League though, definitely not.

Until James Pearce says he's off. I'll live with my head in the sand!

Someone on Reddit said that Balague was talking about the whole Coutinho thing, and basically said that the press in Barcelona are really pushing for Coutinho like this to force Bartomeu into a corner - either he signs Coutinho and they have a good player, or it doesn't go through and they have more ammo to get rid of him. And so far LFC have basically shut down any talk of selling him.

At the moment I am choosing to believe this is whats happening, mainly because it's what I actually want to happen lol

Balague is even less reliable than the Metro. Remember the day before Klopp was appointed and he said it will never happen as he already had an agreement with Bayern. He does the same thing as every other ITK except with a foreign accent.

That said I hope he is right about this.

It will be around 80m plus add ons IMO.

Barca always tend to get good deals when buying players. But then... Is Coutinho really worth £80m+?

3-4 months ago I would have agreed with you, but not in today's market, where a 28 year old Gylfi Sigurdsson goes for 50m.
