Any spurs fans can enlighten me on VDV and why he was sold? I cant believe such a talented player is no longer in the premiership, I know he had a few slumps but man at times he was good.

VDV was sold because:

1. Family reasons, he wanted to save his marriage by going back to Germany to be with his wife.
2. He is almost 30 and highly injury prone (he's missed the last 2 months+).
3. We were offered £10m.

I would have loved to keep him but the deal made sense. He gave us a great two years but we moved on quickly. It had nothing to do with his work rate in AVBs system, under Harry he regularly covered the most ground of our players, it was just time for him to leave.

I've never hated Man Utd for some reason. Always fun to watch, great squad of players, Ferguson is lollers, etc. I go through hate phases for many a team with my current most despised team being Spurs but Man Utd? Always respected them. I reckon they'd treat Cabaye brilliantly and would play him where he plays best. Though of course you have Kagawa in that position so it's a bit moot.

I watched the QPR doc, The Four Year Plan the other night on Netflix. Pretty good and I actually think their board seem likable. Excluding Flavio, because fuck that guy. He made for some reason real lol moments.
