Football Thread |OT12| Kicked the Ballboy Like Stan Hit Ulrika

Seems like people are trying to make controversy out of nothing.

Right, because players should go up to opposition trainers and insult them.

Imagine if Ronaldo did this, FootyGAF would be out in droves calling him an egocentric cunt, etc.

It's reaaaaaaaally stupid, lol. This is just specialist Madrid press getting out of hand.

Messi "spitting" at Madrid's bench

I don't get the people saying RMadrid is trying to make audiences dislike Messi? Did you guys say the same when Evra claimed Suarez called him a "nigger"? That it's a United campaign to slam Suarez? :lol Messi did what he did, and by all rights he should be called out on it.

I thought it was basically confirmed that the entire Barca team left 45 minutes before the Arbeloa incident supposedly occurred?

And there is no parallel between this and the Suarez-Evra incident

They are facts. Evra claims Suarez was racist towards him = Callejon claims Messi insulted Karanka. No one's out trying to make anyone look bad, they're just plain simple facts that, irregardless if you're the best player in the world, should not go unsaid.

And I've asked for the link to the 45 minutes thing two times now and no one's been able to produce it. Still, doesn't change the Karanka incident, and they were reported at the same time. If the Karanka thing was true, it stands to reason there's a good chance the Arbeloa incident happened as well.

We aren't winning shit this season. Wembley means it's over. ;_;

I don't give a fuck about what Messi did. It's not like he slept with an AKB48 idol member.
:lol :lol

We'll be ready this season. Fergie wanted the OT pitch like it is now so the team would be ready to play at Wembley.....Plus we've got Shinjury this time.

Racially abusing someone.

Calling somebody a puppet.

Two very different things. The reason people don't really care is because it's a fairly minor thing. I would guess that worse things were said to other players/staff during the course of the match.

Much worse than "You're a puppet/dummy" is said every match. Just think how many times "fuck off" is said in a game - much more offensive than the aforementioned.

Only Madrid fans are making anything of this "no news" issue they are doing their best to blow up.

Haha. I love how they've highlighted his spit flying through the air.

Still insults, no? Be it minor o major, it's still an insult. Plus the fact that it was against a trainer, not a player, makes it look worse. To me, at least.

Of course I'm aware much worse things are said during a match, and the only reason I'm making a deal out of this because Barca fans are quick to get their panties in a bunch and claim their Messiah can do no wrong. It's hypocritical.

Edit: I'd rather someone tell me to fuck off a thousand times before being told I'm another man's puppet.

Messi is a huge cunt, he just doesn't show it much because results go his way more often than not. Same for Xavi. Puyol is the only decent guy over there.

Hopefully Messi puts 5 past Madrid, and celebrates each goal by spitting on the ball and booting it at

1) the crowd
2) Callejon
3) Karanka
4) Ronaldo
5) Mourinho

If the point you're trying to make is that he isn't perfect, yes I agree.

But people would be foolish to think that anyway. The text message to Pep is a well known story. Plus he refused to celebrate one of their titles cos he was pissed about something.

He can be petulant.

But compared to most football players his behaviour seems to be pretty good - I think that's a fair enough assessment.

As insults go that's pretty damn weak as far as I'm concerned. Now if he'd started insulting my family or some shit I'd be getting my headbutt on faster than you could say "Zidane! NOOOOOO!"

Feel really bad about all the "Where's Doni?" jokes over the past few months. Surprised the real reason for his absence was so well hidden.

If some Deportivo player called Karanka a puppet, would anyone pretend to give a shit?

He would be called out, yeah. But it's unwise to compare Messi to a Depor player.

Now, if Ronaldo insulted Roura, how upset would GAF be?

Hell, lets kick it up a notch. If Messi racially abused Essien, would people still brush it off?

Jordi Alba commented that he thought what Messi did was nothing wrong (because he was annoyed), which basically confirms the whole story.

Not even the Messiah could get away with that shit. He's the highest profile player in the game. There would be a huge deal about that.

Blades 1-0 down at home and walking off at half time to a chorus of boos, courtesy of a goal by an ex-Wednesday player, managed by an ex-Wednesday player, while their own ex-Wednesday manager ponders how to resolve their alarming slump out of the League One play-offs.

Sometimes, I fucking love football.

Anyways the only thing you should be worried about is how pissed Messi is getting seeing all this stuff about him.

He's gonna score a hat trick in the 2nd leg.
