You know what's worse, United haven't even played pheonmenally well this season. Compared to their own standards in previous seasons. They've come from behind to win a lot of games and that is a great quality - but in terms of actual performances I don't think this season will live long in the memory.

For one simple reason, it will.

Number 20.

All of your British players not named Rooney. All average and would struggle to start for other teams but Frogson has them gelled together in a manner that only he can.

If it was any other manager and you would not be doing anywhere near as well IMO.

I agree Ferguson's our trump card, but Jones and Smalling are good young players, Evans is at worst average, at best good. Cleverley is a very promising and good young talent and its odd that its still being denied (maybe tongue in cheek UnitedGAF really is confusing everyone). Welbeck I suppose can't finish to save his fucking life.

I would rate this years Dortmund even stronger compared to last year. Strange that they are so bad. Well, u cannot win every game with smuggy laughter.

Btw, another PERFECT match from Barzagli. He's just incredible. Has to be in the top 5 at the moment. And I'm being conservative.

Lambert is brilliant. Works hard, works the wings, battles hard but fair, calms things down when they need calming, is vocal with his teammates, and he isn't bad on the ball either

The exact kind of player you want when fighting relegation

Yup, without Fergie we would be struggling for 4th place right now I think.

The come from behind fighting spirit is all his doing. Getting the best out of players is all him.

Manure are a strange one. They are dominating with a bunch of individually average players.

And it's all down to the quality manager and coaching staff they have.

BUBUBUT managers don't matter! /confuziz

Absolutely. Getting the very most out if them. But it's lot easier when you have attacking options like RVP and Rooney. CL football will be the true measure. The test begins Wednesday.

Southampton playing like they're against ten men.

Eh, today was an anomaly from the looks of things. They're not getting done 4-1 every week, they're still second and they'll be delighted with that. Add in the fact they're arguably the CL's standout team so far this season, and I don't think they care too much.

Celtic is the standout team

He really is the perfect fit for this team.

Might write a little piece on it after I see the full 90 of this game.

Cool. I would be interested in reading it.

Wait for the Guillem Balague smug-as-fuck tweet

:D I don't mind Balague. Even in smug-mode.

Yeah. He's been superb today.

Even Rawk? Has he fallen from 'world class player' to the only other category they know? 'not good enough for our big club'

Opinion varies a lot.

Some think we should cash in asap and try and improve on him
Some want to keep him around with an equal keeper to see if he can get back in form
Some are willing to keep him as first choice in the hope that he improves
Some think it rests on whether we can get Xavi Valero back

I'm inclined for the combination of 2 and 4. If there is any possibility of us getting Valero back, we have to do it.

This season is all down to our attacking options. Defense has been bad, Midfield has been good (Carrick for the most part) except for shitty wingers.

Less and less teams likely to be drawn in to the relegation fight now. We simply have to beat West Ham tomorrow.

He was fantastic from the 45 minutes I watched of the match. So fucking composed when danger's heading his way.

No denying that Madrid are a better team individually and I still think they're going to win the CL. It'll be a measure of how we are against the very best teams, and I think we'll lose but we'll put in two good performances. If you were ranking the top 8 teams in Europe as opposed to us going out in this round and a weaker team going through due to an easier tie for instance, we'd definitely be there.

Barca, Real, Juventus, Dortmund, Bayern and us are the top 6 teams in Europe, despite that ranking not really translating to real life. Fuck it, I guess you know what I mean (maybe you don't :lol, I don't think I do)

He is, and will forever be, incredibly and criminally underrated. He should dye his hair white or something.

11th to 16th separated by 3 points. 4 point gap between 16th and 17th.

Shit's getting tighter than my arsehole before my poo earlier.

Lot of injury time. Hope Southampton don't do anything stupid now. It would be a massive injustice if they didn't get 3 points here.
