He fits the role surprisingly well

I am frightened by the supposed mass clear out of talent that is alleged to happen this summer at Man City, mostly because I think they'll definitely be interested in Suarez and its not outside the realm of possibility that they try to take Cou from us too.

Our form players won't be moving (Glen, Stevie, Jose, Henderson, Downing) but our far and away best player, Suarez, could get pulled away. To be honest I'm more afraid of the club letting him go at the sight of a big transfer fee offer of 40-50m than I am of him being tempted away by another club. The only place he'd elect to leave Liverpool for is Barça, and they have Messi, so I don't see Suarez fitting into their system.

He's not even played 5 games for Liverpool and you're already worried about Coutinho leaving? I know Man City don't make the most rational choices in the transfer market but even they would probably want to take a longer look at the player before making a move. Or they could sign him and line him up with Papiss Cisse & Nikola Jelavic next season.

So true, so subtle, and so cutting

The longer this day goes on for me the more the disappointment of today sinks in... Damn that first leg.

Wenger seemed very sad in his press conference after the match.

Szczesny might not get his spot back anytime soon now that Fabianski played so well. I would assume Fabianski will be in goal against Swansea based on his Bayern performance.

Dunno if someone has posted this:

Galatasaray fans attempt to dig Veltins Arena tunnel

A section of Galatasaray fans unsuccessfully attempted to dig a tunnel into Schalke's Veltins Arena ahead of their Champions League last-16 clash on Tuesday.

Undeterred by a full house and tickets on the black market being traded at prices of up to €1,000, the group of desperate supporters tried to burrow with their bare hands through frozen ground under a perimeter fence.

Horst Heldt, sporting director of the Royal Blues, confirmed the bizarre incident prior to kick-off, telling reporters: "Yes, that's right. Some supporters have tried to dig a tunnel with their bare hands."

A 1-1 draw was played out at the Turk Telecom Arena three weeks ago, but Umut Bulut's late winner handed Galatasaray a 3-2 second-leg victory and progression into the quarter-finals of Europe's elite club tournament.

No further comment has been made on the matter at this stage.

Lol, fans of rich clubs arguing about TV money and which league is better. If the world of football would be fair Ajax would still be at the top. Quit the whining, we're the ones that got really behind because we get shit TV and sponsor deals in comparance and therefor no money.

You're drunk if you think Barca is the only place Suarez would choose over Liverpool.

Like really, really drunk.

Excellent a G-Unit ban is overdue in that case. So someone snap to it.
But La Liga is better than EPL........kidding :p People should just shut up and watch the leagues they enjoy. All leagues are good and interesting in their own ways, some more than others for all of us.

It's all a matter of preference to me.

It's hard deciding who I hate more. Bayern because of their unprofessional attitude today or Barcelona because they are arrogant asshats with fans like G-Unit? Tough decision.

The La Liga TV deal is ridiculous and it should be banned by UEFA. They won't because it effects two clubs which hold too much sway but it's an embarrassing situation.

Madrid and Barca are killing their own league though - if it wasnt for the government several of the La Liga clubs wouldn't exist soon.

It makes of a further mockery of FFP when teams from one league can basically avoid paying tax and debts because the gov hasn't got the balls to force the payment.

For me it discredits the entire Spanish setup as Real Madrid and Barcelona are basically above the rules that everyone has to follow. The debt Barcelona have is outrageous yet they are still able to buy whoever they want, operate however they want, without rules or consequences it seems. The premier league are taking steps to reel in the sugar daddy owners and our tv deal is how things should be done and the global attraction and audience of the premier league sets it above and beyond every other league for me.

The biggest thing is the refereeing. I really think there needs to be a replay system before sending players off or goals that have any doubt about them are scored. Ferguson is right when Barcelona and Madrid get the rub of the green with the referees more often than not in big games.

Watching Barca Milan replay with American Coverage lol.

(half time) "It's his 18th multi-goal game" "tied at 2s in total goals, tied at 0 on road goals"

I love it <3

I agree in principal but FFP has to extend to the very core football management. Clubs should not be allowed to run up huge deficits period.

They're harming their own set up so whatever.

G-Unit tried to argue that the Real/Barca somehow deserve all that extra money. It's the same logic which right wingers use to claim they shouldn't pay higher taxes. Pure nonsense. It's ironic a fan of Barcelona claims that actually, considering the socialist stance that club holds.

The PL has many clear and obv faults but at least we try to protect our clubs. And as mentioned before the PL isn't a special case. All leagues do it. La Liga is out on it's own and the plight teams are falling into over there is beginning to show.

Barca: He'd go
Real Madrid: A chance, but don't think they'd pay what he's worth so no business to be done
other La Liga clubs: lol

Bayern, Dortmund: He wouldn't move to Germany
other Bundesliga clubs: lol

Man Utd: Liverpool won't do business
Arsenal, Spurs: Don't think he'd be interested, wouldn't be enough of a step up to merit changing clubs
Man City, Chelsea: Could happen, don't think Chelsea want a Suarez-style player

Juve, Milan, Inter: Don't think he'd want a move to Italy unless the situation in England was poor, but he's happy.

Why wouldn't he move to Germany? I can see Pep-Bayern as a real attractive destination for him.

And honestly, I think he'd move to any club which would give him a real shot at the league title and the CL.

There's not enough in yours. Oh wait you're a glory hunter.

Someones gotta rep CR7, Timerda. And that is rich coming from you, you parisian glory hunter :lol

He won't go to Italy nor any other club in England. He is going to bayern or staying at Liverpool.

The Sim City meltdown is fascinating. It like a microcosm of the broken modern gaming experience.

EDIT:
Suarez to Bayern makes sense. Also he should take PFA player of the year.

Because it's Germany? If he moved to Bayern, the league wouldn't even be a challenge for him, it'd be a fucking joke. He'd be joining only to play in the CL, he'd have to learn another language, having just started on English recently, and he wouldn't even increase his salary from what he gets at Liverpool. There is only one reason for Suarez to go to Bayern and that's Pep Guardiola, but as much as Suarez may respect him, it's not enough of a reason to commit your prime years to a team that only has a few actual fixtures with meaning every year.

There's a reason Kagawa moved to United from the German champions, and it's not because of money. It's because the PL is the center of the world in football - every minute of every game matters, every week. Every team gives 100%, every event is a news headline in 100 different countries, etc.

I kept thinking you're arkon despite noticing his avatar change before. To hell with your Juve shenanigans.

I nesting it for another day or two, then I'm going back to my old one. Don't want the avatar curse to hit again come Sunday. Pirlo must be preserved.

Not hating on Liverpool because I like them, but surely winning the German league, the cup and having a massive, massive shot at the Champions League would still be nicer than playing for Liverpool and fighting for a top 6 spot and Europa League.

Right guys? Or am I alone in thinking that?

No. And I like Liverpool too. I guess it depends on how ambitious he really is.
