No doubt, the hating on gaf was in the wind with those questioning Kyle. And the kicking of the hive is certainly a real thing and it's pathetically immature. But I think it's because the vast majority of people--myself included--didn't agree with the blog. So for someone to come in and say that they agree with all of it, and then not elaborate, that leaves room for discussion.
Kyle's point was that it would lead nowhere (which he's likely correct about) and that he didn't have time to continue. But then he makes five posts responding to people over the course of an hour.
The banning was harsh (the equivalent to the pen awarded to Rubin today). He should have been warned or just not responded to the questions in the first place. It was never going to end well, and he clearly knew that.
Hopefully it's only a day or weekend banning.
Yeah. If there was threats and PMs and whatnot, then sure, ban him. But fuck, a bunch of neckbeard bronies sitting on their computer make up 80% of this forum

Kylehimself would have been best off stopping after his second post. He's essentially said I don't have the time nor do I care enough to go into more detail, please read the link, only to then repeat a few more times how he doesn't care enough to go into it in increasingly wordier posts. At some point you should just stop.
