Keep kidding yourselves, Moyes is nailed on tight. Won't be Klopp, won't be Pep, won't be Mourinho.

Liverpool third shirt is nice. Away is ghastly.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
Gareth Bale will celebrate his hugely successful campaign with Tottenham by signing a new contract worth £130,000 a week.

in Levy we trust

I think they should really go for Solskjaer, and keep Fergie on for the transition. The next couple seasons, have Ole take over mon-friday training, preparation etc.. then have Mr. Ferguson do the match days. Gradually phasing Solskjaer in to become manager.

Anyone who takes over, having Mr. Ferguson sat behind them in the stands is going to be too intimidating.

How much of an influence do you think CL qualification will actually have on Bale's future? Will he give you a couple more years or will the inevitable Madrid inquiries be enough to tempt him this season? (if you don't qualify, obvs)

Zero. At his age he can give us another couple of years. Even if offers come in Levy will turn them all down exactly as he did with Modric when we finished 5th. Bale is not going to agitate for a move and we are under no pressure to sell. This season 70 points will probably not be enough for 4th place, I don't think that's ever happened before and if we get 71+, it will be our best PL season ever. There's only so much we can do given our finances and to have it in our hands with 3 games to go is pretty good given how shit our strikers are and how our two best defensive players (Sandro + Kaboul) have missed so many games.

I don't think many teams could lose players like King, Kaboul, Modric, VDV, and still stay right up there. The entire spine of the team has changed and we've changed our system and first XI so many times. First it was a straight 4231 with Gylfi behind Defoe, then Dempsey instead of Gylfi, a 442 with Defoe and Ade, then Defoe and Dempsey again, then Bale behind Ade and Gylfi on the left, now it's Dempsey on the left with Bale behind Defoe. Sandro has missed the last 4 months. BAE the first 5. We've done fucking well to cope with all this shite.

Yeah I saw that this morning, fair play to him if he enjoys it there. He definitely had a nice view when he was being interviewed.

The dc'd thing came from this year or last, he would come in to try and shock everyone with big news, not having looked at the discussion on that page (or sometimes multiple pages of conversation) where the topic has already been discussed at length. Often began with BREAKING NEWS: <quoted tweet>

It's cute though. Never change, dc!

Keep telling yourself that, darling. Bale is not a Dutch 29 year-old with one year left on his contract.

He's 23, British, has many years left on his deal and his paymaster is Daniel Levy.

Yawn

Yeah, Levy is such a wizard. Scooping Clint Dempsey from an anaemic Liverpool and failing to land Moutinho.

At least dc's Txiki worship has a molecule of irony in it.

I never said he was a master of spending money, his stingy, stubborn nature can be a pain when it comes to bringing in players. But when it comes to selling players, he gets value every time and always on his terms (£10m each for Palacios and Crouch, etc). If he doesn't want to sell he won't.

Everybody and his dog thought Modric would end up at Chelsea in 11/12.

Wouldn't mind this at all in theory; won the league twice in a row with Molde and managed the reserves. But bottom of the league right now, 0 wins 1 draw 5 losses :lol

This is a really good post, so I hope if you do get fifth people don't call for AVB's head or whatever. He's done a great job really.
