Yep. heynckes is retiring, though.

Pep is the smartest guy in earth. Got a stellar team, milked it, detroyed it in 3 years and then leave to other stellar winning team.

What the hell are you talking about?? Pep turned an average and struggling Barca side into arguably the best team ever. It's not his fault once he left the new manager couldn't hack it and the players started coasting. So much hyperbole for one disastrous tie.

This Bayern team are incredible, no really noticeable weakness. I hope Dortmund can beat them, but Bayern just seem to be at a different level this season.

We'll hammer them in the Super Cup though.

I wish I could play football with the same mindset as Robben, he's so cool with everything he does. Back straight up, almost always knows what he's doing. Eyes on the target, incredible player.

The Barca comments in here are weird though - don't really make sense. Is it not Bayern that are good? That's what I'm seeing, probably the best team in the world. Not Barca losing by 7 goals to some amateur side.

You'd have to put money on even the current Barca side totally decimating any EPL team or such - they're in the semi-final if that wasn't apparent. If they're shit then what does that make Man Utd (losing to a team Barca are beating in their league), City (2nd in EPL, went out in the group stage), etc?

That is all true but Barca should not lose like this. To anyone. It doesnt feel right. So yes of course any other team would almost certainly have been destroyed by Bayern as well but this feels like a shift in power and frankly a surrender which is most un barca like.

tldr: more Drogba

Gomez is a superb finisher but not much of a player. Who needs someone else when Manduzczikizmsismismzims fits the team ethos so fucking well?

Exactly. When the space investigator is roaming, and Robben is strafing, and Ribery is gliding, who gives a shit. Manduzczikizmsismismzims is good, too. Dogged, wins the ball back well, decent with his 'ed.

just how fitting, how fuckin fitting, is the fact the an anagram for REMUNTADA is TAD MANURE, hein?

fits this Barca side like a glove.

And this team are about to dump their manager lol, to replace him with one who crafted the team they are picking apart. Is this the dumbest move of all time?

They are not picking apart Pep's Barca, this is Tito's Barca. So you are wrong there. Pep made a fantastic team and left it a fantastic team.

Bayern made a great move signing Pep.

People say any scrub can coach these gods and win everything but it really isn't true. We have struggled, every single game this CL. Every single one except the 3-0 against Spartak in the group stage.

but you're wrong. they've been worse compared to the previous seasons even when messi was playing. besides, it's not like xavi and iniesta have been brilliant this season either. it's not just a case of "messi isn't playing, that's why they aren't great anymore."

These same players were quality when Spain won the Euro's. They were by far the best team in the competition and had the best player of the tournament in Andres Iniesta.

Spain also play a possession based style of football but they don't have a Messi figure to build their team around. They had a system that capitalized on the strength of all their players rather than just one.

I genuinely think Barca have built in the wrong way. Their players have obviously underperformed to a massive extent but the tactics of this team are most certainly restricting the players who aren't Messi.

Barcelona is shut out in a two-game Champions League series for the first time since the 2008 semis vs Man United.

that's what you do the entire evening.
bayern fans this, bayern fans that,

Eh, both statements are true.
- your ultras are laughable/non-existent, surely you will agree (therefore that lone Dortmund fan holding up his scarf in front of your fans is not really "brave")
- your fans overwhelming Barca audience really is shameful to those Barca fans as your lot is pretty quite for Bundesliga standards and your stadium is known to be as quite as a elementary cemetery at times, especially if your teams is losing (see Arsenal game).

Winning 3-0 against Spartak is still struggling. Zenit put 9 past them in 2 games this year.
