Hah never thought about that. It's Tobias Linderoth, just as insane.

I don't even care if it's old

Agent Ernesto Bronzetti believes that Juventus would not sell Arturo Vidal 'for all the money in the world'.

The representative, who works closely with Spanish clubs, has claimed that Real Madrid's interest in the Bianconeri midfielder will lead to nowhere.

“We know that Juventus will not sell Vidal for all the money in the world,” he told El Mercurio.

“Vidal is a key player for their ambitions.

“And for that reason, are in a position where they can turn down an offer for Vidal.”

ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD YOU HEAR THAT

How is it nonsense? If you are interested in knowing the best young players in other leagues, there's no better way to discover them. I mean, it's not like Papadopoulos is new on the scene either. He's been a first choice CB for his NT for years now but since Hitcher only knows the PL (nothing wrong with this by any means) AND doesn't play FM, he isn't aware of that. FM teaches you about the best players in Europe and abroad, young and old.

Ah, sure, it's good as a rough guide, but if FM wonder kids were accurate then Valeri Bojinov (FM08 callback!) would be one of the greatest players in the world right now. And I'd say there's a large percentage of misses, which reflect real life - who would have expected Ozil or Modric to be playing for Madrid several years ago? who saw the extent of Klopp's Dortmund revival coming back then? Not you or me. And not FM either. Basically, the game is more a lagging indicator of youth talent than a leading one IMO. Eagle-eyed watchers of youth tournaments and such are on the cutting edge.

I think your argument is completely ridiculous.

Football manager is a niche game and caters to only a small amount of football fans. There is nothing wrong in getting up to speed on who the brightest young talents are.

However, its silly to turn around and then say you need to to be clued in on who these players are if you want to be considered a proper fan. Do you think even half of match going fans know who the best young talents in world football are? I don't think so. They might be familiar with the name or with the team but that's about it. Are people who don't know who these players are not proper fans?

You're sounding rather arrogant now.

If I say you've got to see this movie, I don't mean you literally have no choice but to see this movie. I'm saying if you're a huge fan, you're doing yourself a disservice by not playing it. I didn't say if you don't play FM, you're not a proper fan. You've literally invented words out of thin air. I said if you want to know who the best talents in the football world are, then you need to play FM to be aware of them. That is absolutely true.

Most people are fans of their team and completely oblivious to the rest of the teams in their own league let alone in the world. So no, I don't think they'd be familiar with young talents. I'd wager most aren't familiar with their own team's young talent.

You've used an absolute false equivalency and continue to do so.

If someone has the capability of doing that, that's great. But that's a.) rare and b.) very focused and not nearly as widespread or comprehensive.

Takes less time doing that than FM. And it actually shows them playing. The Toulon tournament is coming up and will feature u-20 players from Brazil, Congo DR, France, Colombia, Belgium, Mexico, USA, Korea, etc... It's very easy to see who the standout players are.

The last u-17 world cup showed Yesil and Emre Can beasting.

It's much better than FM. FM probably tells you Fierro is one of the best talents, yet he's not getting much playing time for Chivas. All you have to do is watch games or read others talking about their youth talent on forums. A lot more comprehensive than FM.

And even though I just said that, youth tournaments are deceiving as well. A kid might be beasting at the youth level due to his physical advantages and the technical player will come out of nowhere and become the better player. Youth teams are always changing to from age group to age group. Not everyone continues on the same path as their youth teammates.

If Real can pay €93m for Ronaldo and €65 for Kaka, they can pay a solid €70m for Vidal. I'd probably accept the transfer at that fee, provided we had a solid alternative lined up.

Probably.

Edit: raised my price to €70m. You waited too long, Real.

70m in the hands of Marotta? Yikes!

If you look at FM 2010, Sahin, Hummels and Subotic were "wonderkids." In 2011, they just had Gotze and Koch but in 2012 they had Gunter, Koch, Leitner, Gotze and Gundogan. 2013 includes many of them and Bittencourt (also in 2012 but with Cottbus). Koch has been hampered by injuries so he's never taken off but they've nailed it otherwise with their young players. Of their best young players, more or less all of them have been identified as future stars with the exception of Reus.

My tactic of podcasting on Mondays makes the early-week commute a much more joyous experience, but it does make waiting to listen quite painful!

He sums up my feelings for this sordid little franchise very well, I do enjoy Kermode a lot. His Sex and the City 2 review and his Pirates 3 reviews are other highlights.

I apologise for misreading part of your argument.

But I will stay that you're putting far too much emphasis on the importance of FM.

Her tits look like bleh now, there's much hotter girls to look for anyway :p
Yeah, it's not like she's ugly or anything but again, in that Rikku picture she looks so much better. Every part of her looks fake now. Face, boobs, etc. Even when not in the Lollipop getup, she looks like a porn actress. Not for me.

Yikes, I knew they had a shitty second half but that really illustrates it. Yikes. They lost Sneijder and added Kovacic.. did they bring anyone in who was established in January? They had terrible injury problems too, didn't they?

Tottenham's Andros Townsend has been arrested and charged with breaching football betting regulations.

What did he do? Bet that his team would only finish 5th?.... You don't need inside information to know that Tottenham would bottle it.

Losing Coutinho destroyed their team spirit.
