Nah and Okore only got on when the rape had already well started.

Thats good. We do have this knack of cursing players at the national level. I remember Tekkers having a mare for Belgium just after we were linked with him.

Clearly the awe of possibly signing for the mighty Aston Villa unnerves these players. 8)

Need a place for breakfast in Birmingham city centre any ideas?

Trying to say no to mcd's!

The Marriot off the Hagley road does a nice breakfast. Custom made waffles & omlettes plus buffet.

edit. That may be too far from where you are. But Hotels are a good bet imho.

Torres to Barca?

Aston Villa are close to signing both Helenius and Okore.

It's like last night didn't happen at all. Wes, you can still go back. It's not too late!

It's ok! The last Danish central defender who joined us after suffering a bit of a slump turned out to be a legend and Helenius is a perfect striker for us in the mould of Benteke.

UK dudes: how is Sports Direct (sportsdirect.com)?

They have bad online reviews but they have Palermo shirts for dirt cheap.

Catalan Press: Thiago set for Man United move

They need to raise funds and after talking of Barcelona's defensive woes, Sport go on to say that they are about to lose Thiago to an 'insistent' Manchester United because the club have been careless on the technical side. There's anger that a situation has developed which could see the player leave for just €18m because of a clause in his contract. Sport don't seem to think the clause should have existed in the first place, and that once it was there then Barcelona should have made sure the terms were fulfilled, meaning he wouldn't be able to leave for such a cheap fee.

Thiago hasn't played the required number of games and such was Barcelona's La Liga dominace, they could have started him in nearly every match for the second half of the season with little worry, but he only got 15 league starts for the whole season and just one in the Champions League. Barcelona say that Manchester United will need to complete a deal by August 1st, or his buy-out clause will go up again to €90m and the club will resist any attempts to buy him.

None of this sounds like anything new, but the way they are reporting him as almost gone does. The English press caught up on the stories properly over the last few days but they've been in Spain for a few weeks now, Sport say that Barcelona stand to lose both Thiago and his brother Rafinha, who could be going to Celta Vigo. It's far more realistic than the Cesc Fabregas claims, with the Spain midfielder insisting he doesn't want to go and the club not wanting to sell him. They'd rather not sell Thiago either but due to the 'carelessness' of Barcelona with his contract, they may not have a choice in that.

Good news, Goretzka to Schlacke could fail because they are too cheap/broke to pay some proper money.

Heldt says there's a release clause in Goretzka's contract and only wants to pay €4m. There is no release clause looool

Simon Mignolet Regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League following a fine season with Sunderland. The unsettled Belgium international should arrive for around £7million - even if Pepe Reina isn’t signed by Barcelona - to add competition at a troublesome position.

Hmmm... From the Mirror. That'd be quite a move there. Only 7m for Mig seems really cheap even if he is going to be entering the last year of his contract.

Aspas, Kolo, Alberto, Ilori, Papa, Mig, Mkhitaryan would be an encouraging summer outlay. My mouth waters at the prospect of Mkhitaryan raking in fantasy points. 25 goals last year.. Mmmmm...

Not sure whether Mignolet would be happy being second choice, especially with the World Cup next year.

Yeah that's the surprising bit. Especially with no Europa League next year we won't have extra games to play our second keeper. But if we were to sign a new keeper – Mig or otherwise – it may be a good idea to give them 1/3 to half the games in the year so they have a chance to get used to the team and the pressure.

I think one of the most worrying things about this current squad is the huge gap in quality between our first and second choice keeper. I'd say it's probably the biggest in the league, Jones isn't likely to start at a Championship club, so I don't know how we expect him to be second choice for a club with top four aspirations.

Mignolet would probably want to play 20+ games a season. I doubt Reina would like being rotated either.
