Someone made a mockup of what the McLaren should have looked like.
Still not a fan of the design overall but yeah, white/orange looks much better than black/orange.

Given the current trend of evil people coming to power I fully expect Ferrari to dominate this season...Please be good this year F1. Something has to go right.

AMuS is saying Mercedes will increase the engine power in the afternoon. 👀
The Toro Rosso does everything it needs to do and rides the kerbs well.
The Haas, by comparison, isn't really hitting the kerbs hard. When Magnussen does attack the kerbs, the rear reacts badly and he had a moment in Turn 2 just now that effectively ruined the lap.
Hamilton is just getting up to speed on his first run but looks to have confidence, despite being a bit wary on the throttle in Turn 3, which is understandable as that corner can bite you. Mercedes has the shark fin, an extended version of what it had before, which looks less good aesthetically.
The Toro Rosso looks particularly strong on braking and turn in - just having watched a few laps it seems a very honest and true car.
Don't drive and text bros.
Shark fin with a vent. That's new.

15:38 The Ferrari looking OK. Vettel seems to have a level of grip that is similar to Hamilton. So that's promising for Ferrari, as the car certainly wasn't running out of grip. Still early days but from what we are seeing right now, which is only a few laps at Turn 3, Ferrari could be on a position to give Mercedes a bit of a fight.

16:06 Alonso returns to the pits at a crawling pace, with the Honda engine already switched off. He pulls out of the fast lane as mechanics run up the pitlane in case the McLaren can't coast all the way to the garage.
I must not understand this correctly, so is this the first time teams get to run the engines outside of simulation?
My Mcfucking sides

Nope, they'll have been on benches running for hours and hours and hours.
They've probably all done "filming" days at this point as well. Shakedowns etc...
Here's the biggest car launch of the month.

I prefer the shorter wheelbase version in the renders but no bad.

How the fuck do Honda continue to be so shit?
The first year, OK, teething problems, understandable.
The second year, well, hey, these regulations make it difficult to make quick progress.
But now it's beyond a joke.
Gorgeous.
Back out and done 2 laps and back to the pits.
To be fair, install laps are normal for your first laps of the day.
Then how can McLaren struggle so much yet again? If it's the engine causing the issues that is.
