Regarding review scores, not only are a lot of these writers not the ideal people you'd want reviewing a driving simulator, but also, if my memory is correct, the press were given a ridiculously short time to review the game. I think it was something like two days. Cue rushing through the game, barely scratching the surface, just to be able to put the review out there of a hugely anticipated game along with everyone else.

You could at least press the 720p button, because the biggest difference is how the cars and reflections are lit, something u can hardly see with those pixilated 480p captures. The differences are VERY noticeable. GT5 looks realish, Forza does not.

An 89 is too high for GT4. Now that game was a damn letdown. GT3 is what it was all about.

Lighting is a hundred times more intensive in night levels.

It's not going to be in at this point. Games stop putting new features months before release.

Drift inside a dark tunnel..ugh..

Smoke in GT5 looks great, there's a video somewhere of someone drifting in tsukuba and the screen is literally filled with smoke after a while

Don't know if it's not affected by ALL shadows, but things like bridges etc definitely casts shadows on the smoke.

From everything I've seen so far Forza 4 looks more real then GT5 only in one instance, and that's the Top Gear Studio homespace.

Lightining is perfect there. PERFECT.

Forza 4 looks A LOT better here. Environments especially.

The modeling of the Forza track of IMS is better, but the scale is not only off but they overexagerate the tire skid marks too much. IMS's tarmac is very clean compared to the shit Turn 10 feels they need to put on all tracks.
