Thanks but my problem is only by uploading the video. I've taken photos, no problem, but uploading a video to the forzamotorsport.net?

No way. The messaging keeps poping and everytime I say yes it will show up again and again, it might be a bug but if only 1% of the people are getting this problem I'm not sure there's going to be a fix for this...

=/

I uploaded a video, then uploaded another one, which asked if I wanted to overwrite. Had no problems when I confirmed. Everything works for me. Sorry, can't help you.

Any way to setting clutch to A with the originale button layout? I can't get used to the clutch in LB.
Use default layout 1 and scroll down to switch handbrake/clutch 8)

I got the F1 GT tuned it like a boss, I'm doing good in the Nurb GP fastpass.

I don't really have an issue with the AI, only with a yellow diablo gtr in the nurb gp fast pass. That mofo is in no mans land all the time and causes me to crash so often that it's not even funny. I want to put an H1 in the race to crash into him numerous times.

yeah, I'm at like level 47 and in the masters season and they still put up no fight. Dynamic difficulty may not work, but the world tour is far better the boring grind fest career in FM3.

I'm back in, got 3 months of xbox live*. Please invite me to races whenever you see me on.

Will try some more rival challenges this week.

*off-topic so sorry. But holy hell it is SO annoyingly difficult to get the auto renewal on your account turned off. Ive been with Live for 5 years now and every single time I try to do this I have to answer more questions and wait longer for it to be done.

It's so transparent they want you to forget about it/get tired of waiting/not bother so they can sneak in an extra charge. Just like AOL back in the day.

I'm the worst at drifting. It was the last achievement I got to complete FM3.

But got this one was fairly easily. Stock Veyron on FK. All I did was swing the car from side to side, doing my best to keep the drift counter going for as long as possible. I used rewind if I nudged a wall or lost the drift count in any way. Got the Best drift at about 8000points, about a quarter ways through FK.

I'll have to try this. I'm terrible at doing long drifts. You would think a nice handbrake slide through a turn would be sufficient, but nooooo...

yeah, you got to chain a few together, which is pretty easy on fujimi kaido

The answer is Benchmark Layout E and a cheap drift tune. There's so much room, you can link a few drifts together easily and not bump anything for 5k points and the cheevo.

I never successfully completed the drift cheevo in FM3, but this one was simple.

Fanatec PWTS user and as other here not 100% happy about the implementation in FM4. I have a wheel for every mainstream console(except for the wii) since the Sega Saturn plus a g27 so i am not new to driving with a wheel. I have tried all the suggested "fixes" but cant get the 900° working right....and as effect every car has the same steering lock. Assuming this is fixed and you'll see your wheel in the telemetry screen do the full 900° 1 to 1...will then cars have their individual steering lock ? With the Fanatec being the officail wheel and all i thought this would be thought through better.

And with the new Pirelli data i was hoping that the slip angle of the tyres would be more predictable but as in Forza 3 you reach the grip limit and than suddenly its slip and slide without warning. Locking up front tyres is like aquaplaning and takes ages after easing the brake to get the front tyres rolling again...

The above coupled with the countersteering assists ruin what could be such a great driving experience for me. Everything else is really top notch...loving the new sound, new Infineon track, 16 man mp, that club stuff and especially the rivals mode which took most of my playtime so far.

I've noticed this as well. I don't drive my everyday car the way I do in Forza, obviously, but it appeared unrealistic to me as well.

Also, I've watched a few replays of the #1 guys on various Rivals leaderboards (all pad users) and one in particular left me a little perplex. It's in the series where everyone has the same exact car. I think it's the 2nd race (AWD). He goes through a series of turns in a way I could never even come close to replicate. I watched him from the cockpit view with telemetry on and I don't get it. It's probably because I'm not good enough but inside me there's a little hope that it's all caused by flawed wheel support. I'll really have to try it with the pad.

And most likely face the fact that I simply suck, but hey! One can dream!

You can: forzafb@microsoft.com

No idea if it automatically goes into their spam folder, but that's the channel T10 has given us.

The physics are quite different to FM3, but when it comes to brakes, I've noticed a new and an old thing..

New - You lock the brakes when entering a corner, you let off and the car understeers on. This is always on cambered corners, it must be weight transfer and being on limit at that point (not sure if overly realistic or not).

Old - There is the artificial (or not? I don't know) thing when you lock up the brakes, and it takes a second or so to seemingly have no control of the throttle etc, this was in FM3...

AI wise, I was doing a load of tests the other night to see how the AI behaves after claims of rubber-banding.. some of those tests where to race mid-pack with the AI..
If you treat them as you should do any driver, and get correct overlaps when attacking them, most of the time (90%?) they react really nicely and have a nice fluid and random kind of human element to them, to see how they race together shows they are quite aware on some level..
However, they do have too many brainfart moments, which can be quite comical..

The main issue I think people run into is apparant if you switch on the racing line, there are lots of parts of the circuits where the line says you should be lifting or braking when you can easily take those little sections flat out.. The AI is following the braking points as set by that line, which is so at odds with how you drive, making for lots of issues going into the back of them..
Another interesting issue is that although on some level they seem more aware of you, a lot of times they react to you, but by doing so lose a bit of control of their car, the result being understeering into you, or spinning out.. that does show a little lack of intelligence..

Man 11:00 pm last night turned into 2:00 am. I am working on 5 hours sleep. I am so tired. Game is amazing. Its like one night I dedicate to career, the next night online racing, the next night rivalries.

Im still in love. I think in F3 my love was starting to wane at this point.

I love climbing even a couple of rankings in rivals each night (of course that's after logging in and seeing my times get beat by others [infomercial :p] to start with). So I end up breaking even, but it still feels good. Have there been any regular online club races?

Also, anyone (Jube?) have links to great tutorials for painting decals? I've had some success in the past, but I'd like to see all the best tips and tricks. Thanks!

Trav, if you are in the car club most evenings when I am playing it is inevitable that a fellow GAF'er will send out invites.

When you start a lobby you can send a "Invite all Club Members" game invite which is convenient to get Club Members together for a quickly filled lobby.

Yep, I hit rivals at 10:30 pm thinking, "oh I'll just do a quick run, maybe 10 mins" and ended up playing until 12:30 am. I'm hurting at work today.

In Forza 3, that 100K Drift achievement was nearly the end of me. Finally got it after MULTIPLE tries around Fujimi Kaido.

I don't know if I'll ever get F4's variant. Best drift I've done was after some snap oversteer which lead to me taking Turn 1 on Camino Viejo while looking out the driver side window. 3/4 rating. I stink at drifting.
Tune store. Seriously. The key to drifting is an awesome tune.

I'm confused about the manufacturer affinity. Does the discounts only apply to individual cars or for any vehicle in the same brand?

I have 2 fiats and only one of them gets parts discounts, the other pays full price o_O

Sure one's not an Abarth? They're separate makers this time around. See also the two Shelby Mustangs and two Saleen Mustangs.

That could be it then, thanks. Yeah, coz I remember reading discounts apply to all vehicles of the same manufacturer this time around.

This "race with a DEV" thing is absolutely brutal. Can't even SEE the race listing, let alone attempt to join a session. Would love to race with Jube. <3

Pretty sure all top players are controller users, you can't really go lock to lock on a wheel nowhere near as fast as you can on a controller.

Maybe you could try to use the GAF group to race with him? His T10 acct is in our club, I wonder if you can join him thru that.

Congrats! You make it sound like using a controller is a disadvantage though. It's quite the opposite actually.

Has anyone heard about this glitch where you can map the clutch to the same buttons used for shifting? Perfectly executed flawless clutch shifts every single time.

Or (as I suspect) is a friend of mine pulling my plonker..?

I love my controller I figure people with the wheel setups have finer control obviously both in steering and accel/braking but I think that it's difficult, props to the ones doing it with a wheel setup. I can't deal with mine although it feels great too.

I don't see how that would be even possible given the options for the control schemes. Plus you have a different button for up and down shifting, so it would only work on one of those. But that is assuming if its legit, which I highly doubt.

Use one of those controller mods could probably do it. Don't see the point though.

I just saw the ad for this car on the dash board, wth, you can play Forza 4 inside this car

Play driving car racing game while you driving. May be I am just getting too old for video games.

Like someone mentioned earlier, with a pad I tend to use the analogue thumbstick like an old digital D-pad when steering, ie. little taps and flicks rather than slight adjustments. I just don't feel that there is the range of movement in a thumbstick to steer accurately any other way. The margin for error is too great. It's a similar deal (but to a much lesser extent) with braking and accelerating using the triggers.

I'm definitely smoother (and therefore quicker) with my wheel. And it's more immersive and a lot more fun..!

That's probably how they do it, with a programmable controller.
The point? Totally error-free and fastest possible clutched shifts for leaderboard times, no doubt.
