Ha! I never noticed it before, but Forza 4 has avatar awards you can unlock. There is an Autovista shirt and a stopwatch hat.

Can anyone else find a way to replay the opening movie with Clarkson? I want to show it to people, but I can't find a way to actually see it again. If I leave the game on the main menu, I get a different movie. I really hope we can actually watch it more than the first time we play the game.

Edit: I wish SarBear! The Unicorns seem to be completely locked like they were in Forza 3. If we share them in the club, you can use them. I will be sure to share mine when I connect to Live on Monday.

BTW, this game is amazing. It is really hard to put it down and do "real life" stuff because you get into the "just one more race" mentality.

If there's room in your club when I fire up the game tuesday/wednesday, that would be great! I won't get to play until LATE that night. The missus has plans for us. :/

That sounds like the best possible reason to delay some playing of the game!

The last thing anyone would want to do is give me a livery duty. I suck big time.
I just download other people's designs and call it a day.
Oh well, you can have it anyway SALADINE. Mind if I add you on live?

Start the game without signing in to your gamertag.

I'm not sure how to see it again in game, but we put it up on GT after the preview embargo. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/opening-cinematic-forza-motorsport/721361

Le Mans is in it...the Bugatti Circuit is not.

Oh, and not sure if it ever got answered, but, no, there are no endurance races.

Edit: also, no painting stock rims, if that wasn't answered either.

Just messing around in menus right now, if anyone has any specific questions.

Also, the Furai power plant has a HUGE disadvantage compared to the old 20B...when you install it, the game disables all power upgrades to the engine...so there's absolutely no reason to use it unless you want to make a substandard S-class car. Wish I had known that before dropping the credits on it.
That is so crap (re: Furai 20B), but it's just an NA engine, surely a turbo should be available at least! Disappointing.

I also agree with "|OT| Where Dreams are Driven" - although it doesn't ring true for me with no Holden Torana XU1 or first gen RX7 and I can't race the Adelaide circuit or Bathurst :-( but I can deal with that and move the '71 Challenger up a few spots on my Dream Car list!

There is an option to change it to a turbo, which kills that incredibly straight powercurve, but does boost the output quite a bit. However, you cannot many any other modifications past that.

3, plus reverse. none epic. not even close to the montserrat environment from fm3

Sure they're not "epic" but its a good location mainly because of the elevation involved. Much like another Swiss Alps like track in another game which I'm guessing was the source of inspiration.

My only wish is that another ribbon of it was a bit more tight and attempted to climb a hill with some tight S curves.

Speaking of avatars Sirket...

Just found out my local Best Buy has a dozen LEs coming in and since they don't allow for LE preorders they are fair game.

For some reason I didn't realize that T10 was still going to do the whole VIP thing. There's been no buzz here for it which is probably why I didn't know.

What did you all think about VIP for FM3? In retrospect I didn't get a lot out of it. It seems that its better now to save your money by getting the regular edition and then spending the extra money on Season Pass and things like that.

Damn.
Oh well, are 13B modification options still ample? As in porting etc?

You into rotaries are you AMUSIX?

Is the Microsoft wireless wheel already discontinued worth getting? I have a friend who is selling his in almost new condition for around $90.00

I've tried the new speed wheel from microsoft but didn't like it and definatelly can't afford a Fanatec or the new Mad Catz that's coming out.

Anything that I have to be aware of before buying the MS Wireless wheel?

Maybe i'm wrong but if you watch the making of video you can certainly see a strong resemblance. I'm probably not the only one who burst out laughing when seeing it.

Oh well, eiger nordwand clearly is the source of inspiration
I mean, even the name of the game is a source of inspiration

Gran Turismo -> Forza Motorsport

MS Wheel is the best value wireless FFB wheel on Xbox.

Worth noting that some of the early models caught fire, though, but I think that was rectified with a new power cable.

Most important thing when buying a wheel: make sure you have somewhere to use it! Table, Rennsport or WSP! You won't get a very good experience on your knee!

It's true, there at turn10 they like gran turismo, so what? It's always been an amazing game. Forza4 wouldn't be as good as it actually is if they didn't take a look at what gran turismo does well

After initially thinking the guy just called Dial-a-Dan 800 number (press 1 for "gamers into car lovers, and car lovers into gamers), he actually got some good answers from him.
Interesting that Dan himself mentioned the JPG compression of the photomode in 3.

I also enjoy actually hearing him talking about a game and subject he's clearly passionate about. There haven't been many games I've really gotten into (publicity/pre-release wise) but it seems he's a lot more open to talk about and promote the game than many other designers/developers... not just with driving games, but overall.

It took me a while to warm up to him, but yeah, for all the shit he's taken, he's actually pretty straightforward guy. "Why isn't there night racing/weather?" (paraphrasing) "Too much to do, too little time. We'll do it when it becomes a priority".

Yup. I like his/their philosophy on features to put in their games, too. Having lists like that to go back to gives them the chance to refine ideas to the point of near-perfect optimisation lest they go in too early with a raw idea and find it's half-baked and written off completely before it's had a chance to be fleshed out. Also gives me hope for future iterations that they'll continually incorporate new ideas rather than have just a stagnant franchise that only adds more content each time.

13B mods are good enough...

and, yes, have an FC myself, kept it NA, ported, did the typical intake and exhaust, but mostly just focused on handling, braking, and drive train (custom built transmission, race clutch, rear diff, that sort of thing). It's got almost nothing off the line, but it'll hold it's speed through damn near any turn and, if given enough road to run, will toe somewhere around 180. Been ages since it's seen a track, though it used to be very familiar with Laguna Seca and Buttonwillow.

I've put together one FC tuning in the game so far that I'm happy with. It's a B-class, and seems to hold its own fairly nicely, even though it can be slightly squirrelly coming out of turns. Originally tuned it on Infineon, but it's proven to be quite at home in the Alps and Montserrat. I don't think it'll fare as well at Road Atlanta, but I could be wrong. I really should have just recreated the tuning I had in Forza 3, but, like an idiot, I deleted all my F3 data after I did the transfer to F4 (needed the room). I guess my tuning might still be on the F3 marketplace, but not sure how I'd be able to get it and bring it over.

Again, look at the title of this thread compared to the one they linked you. Now where do you think that should go?

I'm all for sharing your opinions but do it in the right place. I don't want that filth overflowing into here.

Much easier to accept than the "I dont like driving in the rain." excuse from earlier days.

Still can't believe that those same weather effects haven't been topped yet. Hitting a slightly deeper puddle of water when cruising around a corner, almost losing it but *just* catching it in time is one of life's great pleasures.

I don't actually have any memory of that "driving in the wet" thing. Any links? I'm curious to see the context.

All 50 career driver level reward cars (Gamespot)

Might be spoilers for some, (not sure how that works with racing games but whatever), but it may help you plan your purchases accordingly. Then again, FM4 apparently throws credits at you constantly, so it may not be an issue.
Can somebody seriously explain to me why they STILL don't show any stats or anything on the reward select page? I mean FFS, let me be informed about what I'm getting from within the game.

Looking through this though, I'm making a shortlist of cars I want.

LEVEL 31 FUUUUUCK WHAT DO I CHOOSE
LEVEL 35 FUUUUUCK WHAT DO I CHOOSE
LEVEL 36 FUUUUUCK WHAT DO I CHOOSE
LEVEL 47 FUUUUUCK WHAT DO I CHOOSE wait i won't get that far

I made a shortlist of all the cars, for reference myself, but in case somebody finds use of it or G Rom wants to add to OP or anything, I'll post it here in spoiler tags.
