Forza 4 |OT| Where Porsche Are Driven

First DLC pack I've probably been super happy about. A nice mix of exotic new and old classics.

The Zagato, 312P and 850 are awesome.

Now where's the iconic '62 Ferrari GTO??
1962 250 GTO and McLaren F1 LM (IIRC, BADNED said a while ago that this one had a tiny chance of appearing in FM5 so fingers crossed) are my most wanted cars.

I know there are still and there will always be requests but I really feel that Turn 10 has been releasing killer packs for Forza 4 and they've managed to strike a great balance between highly requested cars (new or old), race cars, huge surprises (S1 for examples), funny surprises (Pinto and now the wagon) and just regular cars being added or renewed (Polo, Clio, etc...).
IMO Forza 3 had at least one or two packs that were really lacklusters (the one with the Jeep comes to mind) but Forza 4 has been on a roll regarding car selection for packs and I think I've always been interested in at least half of each pack so far. Seeing what's to come from FC's list, I can safely say that future DLCs will still have my interest. :)

If only they selected the tracks as well as the cars...

New Ferrari F12 Berlinetta unveiled today.

Hope we see this for DLC in a few months, but that might be too quick of a turnaround.

2013-ferrari-f12-berlinetta-lead.jpg

That actually looks a whole hell of a lot better than what I was expecting from what I'd seen before. Wouldn't be surprised to see it in DLC at some point.

So Short and SarBear, any news on this weekend's League races?

Haven't been following Forza that much, but I'm just curious....how much DLC have they released in total so far? Everytime I turn around it seems like they're releasing DLC. Getting a bit expensive no?

Yep, whoever came up with the idea of releasing a variety of cars in a pack rather than 'themed' packs should be congratulated.
If for example a '2011 supercar' pack was released, I would not have bothered with it and i'm sure I wouldn't be alone.
A mix of cars, something for everyone, is an ideal and practical concept that is working very well so far for both the fans and Turn 10 respectively..

Now, about that supposed spring showcase.....BADNED....want to throw some cryptic bones our way or what?

I bought the Season Pass, so it hasn't been expensive at all. They have had Monthly DLCs since November. So that is a total of 5 packs so far if I am remembering correctly.

New car pack looks amazing. Can't wait to download it. I wonder how much each car will cost in game. Time to start farming credits. Which reminds me, what's the best way to farm credits?

sandbag some rivals events.

Just chiming in to say thanks, Turn 10, for the wonderful variety in the car packs. The Ferrari 312 and Bimmer 850 are major surprises, and I'll have to buy a Country Squire just for the lulz. It's going to be a bummer seeing the gravy train end (?) next month.

Also, I'm expecting great things from today's event, T10. If I don't get them, San Francisco is but an hour's drive away, so I'll be compelled to come down and make my displeasure known.

For reals.

What event?

X360 Spring Showcase

There have been rumors of one or two major Forza-related announcements at the show, although BADNED warns to keep expectations in check:

Don't expect to here much from the event now. It is a closed press only event and not for the public. Pretty much everything shown there is under embargo. Some tiny stuff might leak, some stuff will be officially revealed on Monday to the public and the rest at a later time.

Shit, so the March pack is the last for the Season Pass? That went quick lol!

I guess any chance of a new track or two is out the window. With Turn 10 committing to only 6 months of DLC for Forza 4, I guess they are planning on switching all focus to Forza 5 soon as I'm sure they will be aiming for a launch release with the Nextbox which would give them almost two years of development time(if the new console comes out late 2013/early 2014).

I am going to work on some more Guess The Car shadows tonight so I can liven this joint up tomorrow. With all this amazing DLC, we need some way to get people back into the game.

Maybe I will make some video of all the new DLC cars. Does that sound interesting?

Can someone list all the open top/convertible cars? The ones that I have driven were pretty fun.
Here you go. Have not listed the various open LMP racecars.

1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio Verde (December IGN DLC)
1958 Aston Martin DBR1
2000 BMW Z8
1960 Chevrolet Corvette C1
1957 Ferrari 250 California
1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa
1956 Jaguar D-Type
2009 Lotus 2-Eleven
1999 Lotus Elise Sport
1957 Maserati 300 S (December IGN DLC)
2010 Mazda MX-5 Superlight
2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss
2011 Radical SR8 RX
1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C
1999 Shelby Series 1

Would anyone be up for a legit endurance race sometime? Maybe an evening or something?

And I mean like 100 laps of the Indy Speedway or 2 hours around the Ring or something like that?

I'm up for an enduro race, but would like a shorter course than the 'Ring (and not an oval), with B, A, or S cars (car has to sound nice to drive it for so long, too).

I am up for suggestions, but I would like to do it for more than an hour.

And I think B or A would be best to keep it fairly close, but again I am open for suggestions.

What course would be best for that long of a race? Real or fictional?

This, I vote A-class. You can get some really nice-driving cars in there that aren't going to wear out your mind by the end of a race.

2 hours is too much for me. In Forza at least.

I hear you... still going to give it a shot but there's always the chance I just go insane 20 laps in.

Oh! Oh! GAF-Am cars ('TransGAF' is taken).

A shorter track with an accessible pit lane makes the most sense to me (you were planning on damage/fuel & tire wear being on, right?).

Shortest Alps one or Camino Full, something of that length.

Yes I was going to do full damage/tire wear. So we want cars that won't be too affected by aero since that can't be repaired.

I do really like Camino Full, a lot.

And I am totally down with your GAF-Am cars. I think those would be fun to drive for an Enduro race.

The only question is do we want to allow people to upgrade their cars how they want, or do we want to use the Spec you have with the GAF-Am cars? I think doing like we do with the Megane would be best. Give some very specific upgrades that get close to the limit and allow people to modify the rest to suit their driving style.

I think the guidelines I posted recently work well enough:

Proposed GAF-Am specs:
A600
One of the 1969-1971 models of:
AMC Javalin
Chevy Camaro Z28 (SS doesn't fit requirements, needs too much power to get to PI600)
Ford Mustang
Plymouth 'Cuda
Mercury Cougar
Dodge Challenger
Pontiac Firebird/Trans-Am

No more than 550HP.
No more than 3300 lbs.
No less than 2500 lbs.
Naturally aspirated.
RWD
Roll cage mandatory.
No racing gearbox.

With these restrictions and car selection, each car will likely require slicks, race suspension and full weight reduction to hit PI600.

That actually sounds good. We can add those requirements in to try and keep it fairly close. If people are really interested in this, I will try to find a time for it. It will only be one race and it will probably be set for an hour or so. I would really like to get a full grid, otherwise it can be boring to race an hour with only like 5 people.

I'm going to own so many people in S class with that damn Zegato. It will seriously be my weapon of choice.

Edit: Between the Zegato and the details concerning AssCreed3, I'm seriously going to need another bottle of lotion. And something to relax my hand. Shit's gettin' really stiff. -_-

Unfortunately I probably won't be around Sunday, but I definitely approve of the C-class race. Off the top of my head, I'd probably go Seanspeed's route and enter a 2000GT. It scales up really well. It looks the business too of course.

Bring GAF-AM to the masses. I'd like to run a whole series with those beasts.
