I'm a hood/bumper man myself, but I tend to like third-person for rally/offroad games, where much of the time is spent sideways. Nice to be able to see all around your car.sneaky77 said:

It's a bummer that Fanatec won't be releasing the ClubSport Shifter in time for Forza 4's release.

But for sims I do bumper. I get the speed and I can see a little gleam of my car!

I like to see the beautiful cars I own & customize as they race and take video games up on this opportunity as it's something you can only do in the virtual world. I also like seeing spacial positioning of my vehicle. And don't like having my view obscured for the sake of being real.sneaky77 said:

I've always used the 3rd person camera for all my racing games. Cockpit cam is cool and is much better in FM4, but I just prefer the other way. Although, if I ever use a wheel to play, then I'd use cockpit or hood cam. But I haven't used a wheel since the Gran Turismo 3 one back when that game first released.

So I drove with all the assists off last night, and the car handled very well. I was able to hit 1st place against all my friends. I can't wait. there is a 50% chance of getting it today!!

What rivals mode list was there already? I'd like to get onboard with that for the demo if that's what you were referring too.

I would also like to offer this trade. I do not want the Alpha and I desperately want the 1M. Before you ask, I work at GS so I get a discount and that is why I didn't just get it at BB.

I just tried the DriveFX wheel with Forza 4 demo and it was pretty funny, almost enjoyable.
Of course in no way does it compare to a proper ffb but it's not without some nice effects from rumble strips, collisions and so on. I really quite liked it, much nicer than a controller.
Cost me less than a pint of beer.

So I just got off the phone with BB. Apparently they aren't getting as many of the LCE as expected. Or so says the rep I talked to on the phone. So, I preordered a game to ensure I get it, and now 3 days before it launches, my order gets cancelled. And of course, it is now sold out everywhere.
The only reason I went with BB was because I wanted that 1M, but now not only am I not getting the 1M, but I'm not even getting the LCE. Thanks BB, thanks a lot. Fuck. I was doing really good, clearing through my backlog the last few days, preparing for this game. This has really put a damper on my desire to even play.

Wish Forza let you adjust the cockpit... I think it looks way too far out for some cars... like in the Zonda and Honda Fit... in the 458 the view is fine though.Frackh said:
