Forza Horizon 5 has gained more than 500,000 users since last month and now sits at 44.5 million total players on Xbox!

"Its about to get a whole lot more engagement once it hits PS5"

It'll be a lot of new fans but I seriously doubt it sells 10 million, which is less than a quarter of what it has now apparently if those numbers are even accurate. Maybe it'll sell 5 million. I guess we'll see.

It isn't at 44.5M sales.

Not surprising. FH5 had a a perfect mix of arcade and still has some sim aspects in there. Wouldn't mind if off-road was a bit more punishing, but it's almost perfect arcade experience in all other aspects for casual driving game fans. Now where's FH6, any news on when's that coming and has the location been announced yet?

This would include Xbox One players.

And also PC players.

There's an in-game record board that tracks the total number of unique players that have played the game, you can see it in the main festival hub area after the opening races.

I have no idea what you are saying, then.
Its all plain English so I guess I dont get the confusion. Its talking about engagement numbers. Currently the only way to engage with FH5 on PS5 is sales. Doesnt mean I was talking about only sales on other platforms.

Xbox themselves don't even say 'on Xbox' it just says 'total players' which infers it's the total of Xbox, PS, Steam and MS PC Store users.

They are counting the PC players as "on Xbox" too?

It's a shame how well 4 and 5 have done purely because of Game Pass.

Just heavily dumbed down games compared to the first 3. Pathetic progression systems and outright cringe dialogue.

No doubt 6 follow in the same ways.

Take me back to the days of the first and third games, both absolute masterpieces.

It's a game that runs great on a huge number of portable devices natively (handhelds) and Xbox (TV, tablets, mobile).... I'm not surprised by the increase in new unique players every month four years after its release. When it launches on PS5, it's going to skyrocket. I even think it'll get some Xbox people back to race against PS friends via crossplay.

I still have to complete the rally DLC (When I complete some games), which is very entertaining and comes with several visual improvements and effects (aside from a new map/area) that aren't in the original game.

You might be surprised to see how successfully it sells. The only 4 simcade games that are current today are GT7, FH5/Forza Motorsport and The Crew Motorfest (small fry)
Simcade fans on both sides of the fence (Xbox/PS5 console only guys) are practically parched and frothing at the mouth to play more simcade games. The first thing i got for my PS5 was GT7, the first thing 2 of my buddies that play GT7 bought when they got an xbox was FH5 and Motorsport. GT7 sold ~13 million copies by december 2023. Probably 15+ by now.
I can say confidently that alteast half of these dudes are already primed to buy FH5 when it drops, not the mention the 60+ million rest of PS5 owners.

Imagine when it launches on PS5, it's gonna explode!!

Its really the best racing game in years, maybe barring FH3 which I liked the setting more

It has sold nowhere near 44 million on Xbox. Nowhere near.
