Forza Horizon 5 has sold 1.4 million copies on PlayStation so far. It's selling twice as fast as Sea of Thieves and way faster than Indiana Jones

Drifting Ford GIF by Xbox

I ended up buying the PC version, but I'm happy to see it doing well. It's hard to image the next game not launching day one.

Arguably Forza has been one of Xboxes best franchises alongside Halo and Gears of War.

Forza hitting Playstation is a bigger event than some here realize.

I'm hoping that the next game is so close that a simultaneous launch wouldn't be feasible. But then again we have heard nothing about 6, so maybe it is still over a year away.

I'm glad new people are enjoying it, but I'm frustrated because I want a new one, and this will probably push them from releasing a new game.

Super skeptical of this given it's already below NBA 2K25 on the PSN store (revenue), which came out in September. These games always get a boost during playoffs, but if Forza was selling that well, it'd be above it.

These analytic sites aren't very accurate.

This is for a 4 year old game at full MSRP.

There's is absolutely 0% chance that every big Xbox game from here-on-out doesn't arrive day-and-date on Playstation.

That's decent.

Not that hard to outsell Sot and Indy, tbh.
Forza is one of the few good Xbox IPs.

Also a far cry from amazing sales though.
That's basically on par with Astro Bot and Stellar Blade.

I don't doubt it's dong great but who is Alinea Analytics and do they have a tracker record of having accurate data? or is it another one of these "analytics firms" that basically just make shit up?

Isn't that the one that Matt Piscatella references?

Yeah.....I'm a bit skeptical that this new analysis firm actually has any real data at all. They might, but they are very new on the scene.

Nadella getting the receipts he needs.

Just 3 or 4…surely Halo MCC is imminent?

They're VGChartz with better graphic design and a social media presence.

FH is amazing, the only other thing that comes kinda close is the crew motorsport, theres a pretty big lack of these kinds of racers compared to the x360 era

Nobody seemed to question this source in that thread about Indy selling best on PS5:

Maybe the issue is people having trouble with the fact that even Xbox' best games don't have much pull outside of Xbox.

That's what happens when people have been stuck in bubbles and echo-chambers for all those years.

Eh....I made a similar statement about this new-ish analytic outlet in another thread recently. Has nothing to do with the game or the platform my man.

They should have never gotten rid of Driveclub and closed a very, very talented studio. They could've made their own Forza Horizon rival in Driveclub 2.

Ah well.
Dunno man. Evolution wasn't 'closed', it was basically sold to Codemasters and frankly did absolutley nothing of value before the final shattering after OnRush disaster.

Plus as much as I love DC for graphics, it never hit the the balance between arcade and simcade and the netcode was dogshit. Sony was right to focus on Gran Turismo at the time and Horizon still ended up on a platform eventually.

Nah. I still think there will be that Indiana Jones type of delay
For most games they should go day and date - but franchise games, especially Forza Horizon which has been basically a map update last 3 times out - you don't want to drop them too close to the previous entry or fatigue sets in.

Watch out GT there's a new king in town. Also, Drive Club was a PGR wanta be. Project Gotham was another game and studio that shouldn't have been sold/shut down. PGR was way ahead of its time!
