Forza Horizon 5 has managed to attract more than 37 million players. With this, we can safely assume that the title has been well-received by a vast number of brand followers, and we receive this news thanks to Snap Blast Play (an Xbox enthusiast) who shared the update on their Xbox account.

The racing game Forza Horizon 5 has been on the market since November 2021 and even in 2024, it continues to be a huge hit with gamers, winning over more and more players every day.

As revealed in the game's own menu, Forza Horizon 5 recently reached an incredible 37 million unique players. These figures represent the total number of people who have opened and played Forza Horizon 5 since its launch (they are not sales figures).

This time last year it was 28 million, which means 9 million new people have played it over the past 12 months, despite the game coming out in 2021 :messenger_sunglasses:

Phrased it that way because likely 98% of them are from GP. Also, what constitutes as "Players?" Did they install it once and never play it? What % are playing live?
Starting the game and playing the introduction I would think. I would imagine this guy "phrased it that way" because that is what the number on the player counter showed him (there is a picture in OP). I imagine the in game player counter doesn't supply sales information 🙄 "Tell me you didn't read OP without telling me you didn't read OP."

2% of that is around 740k players. There were already 1 million paying customers on the leaderboards before the street launch date.

The game was at 15k peak CCUs in the past 24 hours, was a Platinum seller on Steam in its first year, Gold in 2022 and Silver in 2023, making more money than the likes of MK1, Lies of P, TLOU 1 and both Spiderman games.

It’s also consistently one of the top 15 most played Xbox games, years after release.

You kinda chose the wrong game to downplay. Maybe wait for the Pentiment thread?

Playground is one of MS's high-end Ace studios. I have high hopes for Fable because they're working on it! A Burnout style FH would be quiet interesting! Hmm roads on rails and off rails in a open world environment?!?! Combo explosion take downs would have to be timed that could be challenging... I've bought every FH released because their just that damn GOOD! MS's finally found its successor/answer for Midtown Madness 3!

are in a big trouble
I imagine this is how every thread is going to go from now on after MS opened that can of worms.

I really wanted to like this but I felt no drive (hohoho) to do anything, there was no progression :lollipop_sad_relieved:

I tried finding those hidden wrecks and then when I saw the cutscene was identical each time I stopped. I tried doing the stunt jump token things and when I found no way to quickly reset I got bored of trying to work out the exact speeds to hit the jumps, Just Cause 4 did that sort of thing 10x better even with that games massive flaws, because you had so much variety in how you did the stunt rings.

Forza Horizon 2 was peak for me. I've played each iteration since, but FH2 had me in chock hold. Spent over $500 for a wheel and racing chair setup for it back in 2014.

That is apparent since Microsoft had so many opportunities to just say, "These rumors aren't true."
To be fair if they start commenting on rumours, they'd need to employ 30-40 staff just to reply to Neogaf's rumours.

"No, Phil Spencer is not related to the devil"
"No, not every Xbox player is on a $1 Gamepass sub"
"No, Halo is not being ported to colecovision"
"No, Phil Spencer does not have a birthmark that looks like three 6s just under his hairline."
"No, Phil Spencer has not agreed to stand down if Xbox hasn't sold 40m consoles by the end of April"
"No, Phil Spencer is not furious because Helldivers isn't on Xbox"

And that's just from threads since I began typing this post.

It is far inferior to FH4 unfortunately, but I can see why casuals would like it.
The road events and rivals circuits are a lot better in Forza Horizon 5. Tire traction and reflections are improved. The event lab is also amazing. The music, new cast, and DJs mostly suck though and there is definitely a lot less opportunities to earn CP.

I still think Forza Horizon 3 was more fun in its mechanics and events than both. At the same time, I really had a lot of fun with Forza Horizon 4's Fortune Island DLC.

Even if every single Gamepass sunscriber played the game (and thats not going to happen with ANY game), it wouldnt be close to that number.
Also why would someone download the game, which is like over 100gb, then never play it?.
And its been a while but i'm pretty sure you had to play at least the introduction for you to be included in the number. I remember at release people were going on about that.

I'm not saying responding to every rumor. I'm saying they could have sent a single response that says there are a metric butt-ton of rumors circulating that are false, and that the extremely few things that are true will be addressed in a press conference.

Instead, they let everything fester. Now almost nobody (who wasn't already a hardcore fanboy) believes that the rumors were false, but rather that Xbox once again reversed course on a shitty decision due to public backlash. Which means a ton of people lost faith in Microsoft (the Xbox division specifically).

There is such a thing as bad publicity, and what transpired recently was a shining example of it.

Currently playing FH4 and FH5 back to back. I just treat the two of them like one big game. Still have yet to touch the Lego in FH4, or the hot wheels in FH5 expansions. Or the rally stuff. Was probably a stupid idea to be playing them but at the same time but it was a time thing.

Glad to see it FH5 stil going strong.

Have you played Fortune Island DLC? I found it to be the best part of Forza Horizon 4. The roads, the scenery, the treasure hunts, and cross country events are a ton of fun.

Not yet. I keep getting distracted by the seasonal stuff. Though this current season is doing nothing for me. it’s all MGs and electric cars, not worth grinding out for, in my books because I hate alll electric cars, and curse the day Tesla came along! And Chinese made MGs are just not real MGs in my books. I hear the mazza MC20 will be up for grabs next season though.

I soon touch fortune island though! My escort RS200 and my focus RS are ready ( I adore rally spec fords)

I think the BMW i8 Roadster is pretty awesome, but it's a hybrid.

Most of my rally races are done with Mini Cooper S, but the Ford RS200 is fun to fool around with.

i have paid around 120 bucks for this game and DLC
I payed a total of $130 for Forza Horizon 3 and its major expansions after they were delisted. It was worth it. Still amazing to play on PC.

What's wrong with people? Ah I see, opened, and played, and then closed the game because it took 15 minutes to turn off the accessibility nightmare. And then the terrible car physics, the non human mission structure, the overall idiotic idea this game represents.
