Forza Horizon |OT| A Whole New Playground

Man, I absolutely CANNOT wait to raid your SF Hertz.
DAMN!
Thank you for doing these so early. Great stuff!

Thanks James :)

I know there gonna be a lot of them on the sf, but I wanted to give you guys the best quality possible for the rally paints. Takes forever to research some of the older rallies to get everything as correct as possible. My friend collects the rally plates, so these are no problem but some of the sponsors are really hard to find. Also I'm trying to replicate the original cars and not the little toy/replicas, cause those sometimes are missing stuff. We'll see how many more I can make till Tuesday ;)

Hey everyone

I just reviewed Forza Horizon yesterday morning: http://www.savingcontent.com/video-game-review/forza-horizon/

I also recorded this video companion showing off 20 minutes of gameplay:

Very nice review, you should try this game with a proper wheel and ffb, tarmac to gravel transition in ffb is awesome. It's totally a different game, add to that an h shifter and the game is pure pleasure. Cruising along at low speeds is really satisfying.

Like on this picture....

There is that little logo Lombard Car Finance behind the number board, above the Unisys logo and I can't fin it anywhere, got the inside part done, but can't find that leaves/champion ring around it, anyone have any pictures? lol

It's all good guys, I got the club up and runing ;)
I would really love to be a part of that even though I wasn't a part of the club on Forza 4.
Is there still a 100 member limit on clubs? I would hate to take anyone's spot if they're more deserving.

Gamertag is StunWar, if it matters.

I'm sure there will be more than room for you man. ;)

H3rTz your pictures are killing me inside for the next friday. If you can grab an extra shot with some old VW for me (anyone really), then thanks in advance!

Helios thank you for all the help so far. It is also very good to see you in here showing support and help answering the questions. Thank you :)

I'm sure this has been answered already and I haven't been able to follow the thread much. I read the OT and I wanted to know, is this game set up kind of like need for speed underground or burnout paradise where you drive around looking for a race? Or is that Race Central thing just a list of races to do?

Also is there collectible stuff like smashing into billboards/fences like in burnout paradise? Just trying to get a sense of the open world stuff.

You should play the demo!

From what I played, it's very much driving in the open world, and you'll come across events and such.

Oh wow, I missed your liveries, m0dus. Both you and Hertz doing a better job on selling me this game than almost anything else!

It's hybrid, you can either drive around to the event like Paradise or you can pull out your map and beam there. The catch is you have to first discover the event or landmark for it to show up on your map.

There are also collectibles, barn finds, speed camera, speed zone with rival time much like Paradise.

H3rtz providing the club and generous liveries for the only thing that matters (rally cars)

Badned bringing it home as usual.

Helios on hand (I'm sorry for the jip I may have given you before) to provide info.

Modus back in the house, for where art thou Jube?

And the impressions are more than impressive! I'm so pumped for FH and love this thread at the moment. Keep it coming.

H3rrtz, I know you spend most of your time doing liveries as it is, but at some time I would love the Martini Escort and/or the Castrol Corolla/Supra (don't even know what Toyotas are in the game) pretty please!

So, I paid off my LCE today. My attempts at getting the GameStop rep to break street date were futile. They probably didn't have them in.

Did you create that S4 livery that you took pics of? And any Group B or rally livery you make, I promise to make everyone I know buy one! Seriously dude, your work is ridiculous!

Yeah, I made every paint I had on pictures, so far I have like 8 or 9 classic rally paints ready to go :)

OK, finally got the game from Harvey Norman.

I was all excited to play. Opened the box up and BAM!!...no fucking disc inside!!

Mutherfuuuuckerss..!!

Really torn on this. As someoone who was never a big forza follower or even a huge racing fan i realllyyy enjoyed the demo and contemplating picking it up.

I am someone who has no interest in tuning e.t.c, i just loved the feel of the cars and the races compared to some of the more arcadey games. My last brought racer was need for speed hot pursuit which i thought was awesome but i think i just like the atmosphere more in this version.

If i have no interest in car clubs/tuning/paints/tuning can i still get by with the basics. Is there an auto tune setup so i dont have todo all that myself ?

Anyone else playing this who isnt a huge racing fanatic ?

That's exactly why I love Forza. Just hit the auto-upgrade button and you're off to race.
I have no knowledge of tuning myself and couldn't care less either to be honest.

Prefer arcade style racers for the most part, but I do love the feel of excellent racing physics like in F355 Challenge and the Forza games.
