Ugh!
This game needs more 'classic' cars from Europe and Japan!
I mean we have so many race cars with the only difference being the livery scheme.
Why is that?
That's what the livery editor is there for, to edit liveries. So why multiple versions of the same car?
Surely a few different cars would have been a better choice...
Where's the old Merc's, Jag's,Peugeot's, Mazda's, Toyota's, Honda's...etc from the 60's,70's and 80's?

Oh well, just have to be patient for another game to fulfill that thirst...very patient.

The F3 bundle should have had an elite with either a chrome looking paint job or had some orange on it somewhere as a stripe or flag pattern in the corner.

Boring elite is boring packin.

Does that even include a HD cable of any kind?

I'm praying for the TA22 Celica to make an appearance. If so, will be in HEAVEN. The early Z's would be nice, too.

that is pretty dissapointing yeah. I'd be nicer if the differences were just "set ups" you could buy for the race car, '07 '09 etc instead of 20 porsche gt3's. I thought they were doing it initially but ah well. Most of them are old from fm2 anyway so its not like they cost us any new cars i think.

this is what i've always been mosti dissapointed with forza, most of their cars are race cars with different liveries, like nobody gives a shit turn 10.

I wish I was slightly talented with the livery editor. I want this baby in Forza.

Is it possible to colour headlights?

Start with an orange car. Add the a white square to the roof. Add another white layer on the sides and front bumper. layer a blue shape on top of that. another white on the sides then put the castrol decal on the side.

Che,

Toyota's 86 spiritual successor/concept future DLC?

All Elites come with the HDMI and Component cables, as well as the optical audio dongle. Well at least mine did.

Not long now till the release, I cannot wait! :D

"So, let's say I want someone to win if they do the best single lap time out of 50 laps on the Nurburgring. In forced cockpit view. With manual gears. In a stock car. With each car released from the start line 10 seconds after the one before. With the players competing in 4 teams of 2. With collisions causing cars to swap teams."

for you online fans, customizable enough for you? :lol

if anyone makes the gran turismo logo with proper font i'll pay a lot for it, want to make my xj220 LM from gt4 again!

Have no fear buddy, I'm all over it. I'm a big fan of the Altezza LM and I'll be needing it too :p Along with GTplanet text and symbol. I started a thread there for official liveries across all racing game having a livery editor :D

That's... that's unbelievable.

Having delayed starts sounds great, I like those kind of road rally races where you are all hot lapping but on the track at the same time. Would also work well for say a GT2 race starting 30 seconds before a GT1 lineup.

funny, thats what i like best about forza and wish it would move even more in that direction.

when racing, race cars >>>>> everyday production cars

That's very slick. I can't wait to try some staggered start time races using different car classes.

I want to learn more about matchmaking, hope we get some feedback on it from you reviewers and early players.

I say matchmaking as in finding a game instead of sitting in a lobby, I am right that forza 3 has this, right? sure I read about it at one point.

Also does forza 3 have the main tune remixed again like forza 2 has? The original is still one of my faves

So I'm getting the FM3 LE from GameStop

However, there will be a big box, but the game itself will be in a standard case (unlike Gears of War) right?

You may find that the pack-in version of F3 has that lovely yellow strike across it saying not for resale, or something.

I recently played the Forza 3 demo and liked what I saw. I've never played a serious (Forza, PGR, GT) racer, the last racer I played that used real cars instead of carts was Need For Speed: Most Wanted.

Do veteran Forza players prefer to use steering wheel peripherals or just the standard 360 controllers? Thanks.

I've bounced back and forth between the two. When it comes down to it, someone who is comfortable with the controller will do just as well as someone who is comfortable with the wheel. There are benefits and negatives to both, so it's really up to what you prefer.

For racing there's no substitute (the wheel) but hot-lapping seems to be more of a personal preference in this game to a lot of people compared to others.

I dug out my old wheel for the demo and, I don't know, I don't think I can go back to it. I "appreciate" it, but it's just a smoother more fun experience for me with a controller. No idea why. Probably because I stink.

Which compares to my experience, in that while I found the controller better in FM2, the wheel seems to shine for me in FM3 and I much prefer it to the controller.

Hm. Maybe I ought to give it more of a shot.

You should yeah. It's two completely different ways of playing the game, so it takes some time and frustration to get used to, but I wouldn't go back to the controller anymore.

Beautiful 2 page ad for Forza 3 on pages 2/3 of November's Car and Driver!

Is this the same "It's an invitation" ad, with an Audi R8 with an open door on an open stretch of road, that was in the most recent EDGE magazine? Because that's indeed one of the most beautiful game ads I've ever seen.

Yes, that is it. Glad to see it is making the rounds!

Got to pick that up. What's on the cover?

Corvette Grand Sport vs Shelby GT 500

It is either a photoshop or their wheel arches really are just 2 inches apart at speed. Pretty cool photo. Would be neat to recreate it in Forza. :D

So tomorrow full car list, thursday the reviews and media and today a blogpost competition? to give out new cars, atleast according to twitter. Haven't seen anything up yet. Though they did introduce the Autoweek channel on the website since yesterday, which is sort of cool i suppose.

We pretty much know most of the cars that will be in the game, thanks especially to Forzacentral, but perhaps there's a surprise or two in there yet. Perhaps we could some basic info in the list as well, like the cars' starting PIs since that data has been included in the daily writeups, but there's plenty to look forward to this week already.

I know, but Badned stopped 1 oct saying he wanted to leave some surprises for Turn 10. There's still a few to reveal. He also said another car would shift from list to DLC besides the 131.

True, and I wonder if the 2010 Audi S4 is the second to-be-DLC car. I seem to remember it being on his list earlier, but I may be wrong.

Hopefully "surprise" is a synonym for Nissan GT-R
SpecV even.

Yeah i think Badned confirmed that already, this new one he didn't say anything about yet. And I doubt we'll see the GT-R soon unless they pulled a cockpit on us (che saying it was pointless in the pre e3 thread) but I doubt it. The car is special but not that special.
