Being a total video game nerd AND a car freak, there's no surprise that I've played pretty much all racing games that are worth mentioning, but most time I've of course spent with GT and Forza. Now, while the most fun I've had while not playing alone, is of course racing with a full lobby of friends. Nothing beats that. But while in singleplayer, the absolute most fun I've had with these games, is the first, initial hours/days. When you HAVE to spend money wisely, actually THINK about what upgrade you're going to buy, or save up for a new car instead.
Rewards like cars and loads of money is probably the best solution in the long run, since after a while, you want to experiment with new cars and setups, and for that you need a lot of cash if we're talking classes above, say A. But still, I know I'm getting a giant load of cars when I start FM4.. I've been at level 50 for a long time in FM3, I got almost all the cars from the "loyalty" list or whatever it's called.. So I know I won't have a hard time getting started.
Of course I can somehow force myself into not spending the free cash or racing the free cars, but.. it's not the same thing, not at all IMO.
So basically what I want to say, is that I'll miss the inital economy/strategy part of the game. The early GT-games were excellent examples of this, I can still remember racing the Sunday & Clubman cups, saving up for a R34 GT.-R..
Anyone else feel the same, or is everyone just eager to drive the fastest cars right away?
