I don't think we will see that one in the final product and I am not too bothered by that because it just seemed very bland.

Seems we're not getting some of those...probably getting one of the deserts and one of the forests, which is a bummer, because both forests look really promising. Or maybe there was an issue with making trees look good enough, and both forests are out and we're getting the city location....eek5 said:

way more than 6 here:
Will the AI take a D class car and upgrade it to the top of C class? Or will it be based on the car you're driving? In Forza 3, my primary A class car was an upgraded C class, and always looked funny showing up to the track in a sports coupe against a field of super cars.In World Tour, the players car is limited to specific classes in all events and the AI cars are upgraded (using Quick Upgrade) to the top of the events class limits

Yeah both do look good from the screen. It's weird that we're getting the autovista warehouse and another "warehouse". Seems a bit redundant but we'll see if there is a big difference. Too many confirmed indoor areas though!AMUSIX said:Seems we're not getting some of those...probably getting one of the deserts and one of the forests, which is a bummer, because both forests look really promising. I'm wondering this as well. Me and my brother usually just race us against a bunch of computer opponents but it sucks cause you can only pick the cars that are stock in their class. Id love to be able to just have my own upgraded car to say an "A" class and then just go through picking any other cars and just have them "upgraded" to the same class. Would provide a ton more variety.eek5 said:I'm guessing it'll be just like F3 except they'll upgrade to the top of the class. It'd be cool to have some lower class cars get upgraded up multiple classes though. I guess it might depend on what race you're doing but I don't think that has been talked about in-depth yet.
so there is no auto-rollover but he doesn't say you can't manually rollover using the steering like in FM3. Hopefully you can't rollover in sim mode so it really is game over. Finally, if you play the game with simulation damage setting on, weve disabled the auto-rollback featureso if you manage to roll your ride after a pretty nasty crash, youll be pretty much out of luck.
Wheel stands... The Forza 3 intro is a reality... In Forza 4!the racing slicks, but has extremely poor cornering characteristics. Frankly, this compound is horrible to drive on a road course, but launches like a rocket. This compound also wears much faster and reacts to heat differently than the other tires in the Pirelli dataset. Because Forza is an automotive sandbox, we allow you to use this tire in regular road racing--however, youre probably going to want to change the damage and wear difficulty settings to cosmetic. With the proper tuning setup, weve been able to use these tires to get wheelstands, but it also requires strong clutch control and car with the right center of mass.

Hmmm, so they AI won't boost cars up through classes? Oh well....Minimaul said:If you're doing an A class event the AI will/can use cars at or up to A600, instead of being 'stock'.
So now you're not against you in an A600 car and the AI in stock A531, A501, A513 etc. cars.
Out of luck sounds like the race is over unless you don't have rewind enabled :lolcjelly said:So nuggets I noticed:

Also nice they are adding drag tyres. I know a few people in this thread were after those.

I'm talking over Xbox live, private race. The car variety for opponents is really low cause you can only choose cars that are a specific class based on being stock.eek5 said:There are like 250 races on that grid now. I bet some of them include things like "tuner challenge" where the requirement is, say, an originally B class car but the race is an A class race or something. It'll be cool if it goes further than that (i.e. ferrari races with the older ferraris swapped/upgraded to compete in A/S classes) but I won't hold my breath..

AMUSIX said:Guess this is both a good and bad thing. On one hand, it makes the pack in every race that much closer. On the other hand, it makes it so it doesn't matter what car the AI shows up in. I used to like seeing the car field and understanding which cars would be able to handle turns better, which were stronger in the straights. Now it's homogenized the entire field, and I'm not sure that's a good thing.
Oh, I understand that, but it still homogenizes things a bit.op_ivy said:just because cars have the same PI does not mean that they excel, or falter, in the same ways. you will definitely still see cars behaving differently, but now they will all be at their peak for that class.
its definitely an improvement to what was done before, but it would be better if the ai just auto-upgraded to your cars PI (or remained at stock PI if your car is lower) IMO.

I think dan mentioned in an interview that the AI would be upgrading based on how much you were beating them in previous races to keep it competitive for you. I'd imagine if you were racing all stock against cars in all you races they probably wouldn't max out their upgrades but who knows? Hopefully there are some options because I did enjoy some of the stock races.op_ivy said:just because cars have the same PI does not mean that they excel, or falter, in the same ways. you will definitely still see cars behaving differently, but now they will all be at their peak for that class.

The new player selectable difficulty level basically slots in between what would have been considered medium and hard in Forza 3

We've seen this second warehouse. I think it's in the E3 trailer. Pretty sure it's got a dark pitched roof with a skylight in it. I'm on my iPhone otherwise I'd try to dig an image out. Damn shame about those missing homespaces.eek5 said:It's weird that we're getting the autovista warehouse and another "warehouse".

I really hope so, I want my Big Shots of the SLS engine, the F1, the Enzo, etc...
