Forza Motorsport 4 - The Floodgates Have Opened...

One last photo worry I have....camera placement. Are we still confined to an 8 foot height directly over the roadway? No spectator or aerial shots?

I remember from E3 reading you can't leave the bounds of the track. they can't let the camera fly too far away or you will start to see behind the curtain.

Yes you can G Rom :)

Thanks for the answer.
Damn, this is going to make some really nice wallpapers ! :)
Can you answer AMUSIX' question about placement ?
Last thing, I suppose all the shots, even the big ones will be watermarked. FM3's one was way too big and terribly placed. Can you tell us how it will be in Forza 4 ?

Glad they're adding Big Shot and this folks, is why competition is a great thing :) I just hope the servers don't crash too much at launch though :O

Bummer....wouldn't need to go too far away, but all too often, I found my camera backed up to the invisible wall...made shooting impossible on some of the more narrow stretches, especially on tracks like Amalfi.
I guess I was still annoyed at all the "you can take these shots in the game" PR that was happening for months before the game came out, and when it finally did, we couldn't get the cameras anywhere close to what they showed.

I'm guessing that it'll be the fairly small "Forza Motorsport 4" shown in the example of the Big Shot.

I think all of these shots are from the car select menu, just blown up in size. Maybe that's why they look weird. They had to place them at the exact same angle.

We've seen this second warehouse. I think it's in the E3 trailer. Pretty sure it's got a dark pitched roof with a skylight in it. I'm on my iPhone otherwise I'd try to dig an image out. Damn shame about those missing homespaces.
I think people took that initial concept video a bit too seriously anyways, a lot has panned out from that video, but I always considered it a concept pitch.

FUCK YES.

By FAR the best new car addition they've made thus far to FM4.

You can only save a very limited number of these to the server at a time. As with WMV files in Forza 3, your best workflow will be to take a shot, upload it to the server, retrieve it and then replace it with another shot.

Oh oh. Tell me I'm wrong guys. Can we can store a bunch of big shots on the 360 then upload them, one by one? Or do we take a big shot in game and it auto uploads? Because if it's the latter we're going to HATE it. Taking one photo, running to the PC to download it, then taking another shot.

Dat E39 M5 !
Even though, I'll probably only drive it for the lull, the H1 looks very good at least.

Edit : A Falcon shot, saladine will faint when seeing it.

Soo glad and impressed that I've been proven wrong on the photomode front.

Bigshots are really impressive and far more than I expected. Can't wait to get my hands on the game now. Saladine mentioned some bad news was coming slap, did I miss this or is that the custom tuning within lobbies? If so, I'm not too bothered.

Looking forward to some impressive bigshots from yourself Grom.

I hope the texture quality of custom liveries this time around is good enough to make Big Shot mode even better.

That's actually the only thing I worry about, it was quite hard to make livery look quite good at reasonable resolution in FM3 :O

I think dan mentioned in an interview that the AI would be upgrading based on how much you were beating them in previous races to keep it competitive for you. I'd imagine if you were racing all stock against cars in all you races they probably wouldn't max out their upgrades but who knows? Hopefully there are some options because I did enjoy some of the stock races.

i certainly hope so - and it would make the most sense. sometimes its fun to race cars in their factory spec =)

Buy a cheap netbook. Problem solved!

Is it just me, or is does that hummer look significantly more detailed than the other cars?

Autovista perhaps?
I though this as well, but it only looks more detailed because the bodywork IS more detailed/portrusive with all the bolts and stuff.

Would love if the Governator did the commentary on it. One day.. one day.

Why do they still bother to include the oldest versions of the Gallardo and Murcielago? I mean, perhaps the Gallardo for the looks, but even still, they should have the newest LP model of each higher on their priority list IMO.

Even the Gallardo?

Was it DLC for FM3 as well? Didn't pay attention to any FM3 DLC at all really outside the Hot Holidays pack and some Jalopnik articles.

I'm glad, too. My opinion is that the one of the goals of the Forzas and GTs of the world should be become like a car encyclopedia, adding old and new cars all the time to the existing roster.

No not DLC. The LP570-4 Superleggera is new in FM4. But it is part of the LCE exclusive VIP Car Pack DLC.

Something looks a bit off in those pictures. It's like it's really polished plastic with alot of glare effect and not metal. :-/

We need to see them in some different lit environments

So that white garage is one of the home spaces?

We have that, which is a finished warehouse, we have a generic open warehouse, and the Top Gear studio (which is a warehouse with a few extra bits). Can't say I'm loving that half of all the home spaces are variants of each other.

If we were only getting six, I would have gone with:

Stelvio Pass
Broadleaf Forest
Conifer Forest
Top Gear Studio
Trackside Paddock
Downtown City

Actually, that's REALLY difficult to narrow down to six...would have liked to include a meadow, a desert/cliff area, a small cobblestone village, a modern mansion, and a few others...but I know I certainly would not have chosen to go with three different warehouses....

Holy damn, that Hummer looks even more ridiculous...

...ly awesome than I expected.

I guess I'll be grabbing a Jurassic Park design from the Storefront for that. :)

If the game looked at the original vector art data and regenerated it for the photo calculation there wouldn't be a problem but who knows if T10 had time for that.

Yeah I always wondered why they never just used vectors, but then again I'm fairly sure they've answered this question before and I can't remember the excuse.

Funny enough about a month ago I wouldn't have cared one bit, but now after all the laps I've done in rFactor (and Shift 2, but that's not all that accurate) the one track I want in Forza 4 is Mount Panorama aka Bathurst. I simply love the flow of the track.

Dan told the environmental artists that he wanted three whorehouses in the game to complement the car porn, but his beard muffled the instructions.
