I wonder if some of the assets from NYC in FM3 will be used as a homespace location? Probably the best thing about NYC was the photo ops.

I wouldn't mind the PGR4's NYC track.

Seriously though, I really thought T10 would go crazy with the tracks this time and go for GT5's jugular with some big time real tracks. Console sim fans have been asking for Spa forever. No, NFS doesn't count. Hell, they even GOT RID of the LeMans Buggatti circuit!

Barring some big names coming as DLC, so far all we got is neutered Hockenheim.

PGR's NY track wasn't bad. The Forza 2 and Forza 3 ones were awful though. I hope they release a ton of tracks for DLC but I'm not going to hold my breath. I'll buy whatever they release (as long as it integrates into career)

You know, even if I can only export a limited amount of photos via Big Shot, it STILL kicks ass that they offered it. I don't even mind the hassle of retrieving them from the web, I'm just glad that I can finally get great shots onto my PC!

It's even better than usb-exporting.

Take a picture, upload it, save it from the web, post it here.

I really hope they do something with those DLC tracks. I wasted my $5 on the 'Ring GP. Could have bought more cars or more likely, some SFIV costumes... :p

^ What's going on in that picture? lol

Will Power is Fingering the Indy Car officials on camera while Rick Perry is looking smug, all Photoshopped into a picture of an EA press conference. Magic.

Are you sure it's been photoshopped?

Am I reading into this too much...?
"As one of the first all-Australian designed cars from Ford, it was a no-brainer to send the XB Falcon racing. It battled the Holden LH Torana at the most famous Australian race, the Bathurst 1000..." - Taken from the Ford XB Falcon GT blurb on fm.net.

They made to obvious omissions to "Mad Max" and "Eric Bana", but made a point of mentioning the above.

Fingers crossed.

No Porsches, but a Hummer H1?
They made the right choice in choosing the more interesting of the two.

I demand a ForzaGAF Hummer H1 Championship on Laguna Seca.
Or Bathurst.

You've got it all wrong, USB export is in
only if you use FM3 LCE's USB key !

I would be cool with that if the LCE actually came with a USB stick instead of "nickel & dime™" exclusive DLC.

Nothing for nothing but i'm among the earliest members of the official FM forums ever since early 2006. This is my Sig that i've been using ever since then:

MlQcD.jpg

I spammed and spammed those forums for many years pleading and annoying everyone (as I do here) about Turn 10 featuring some Aussie shit. I tried reasoning with them about how if they indeed included some of our stuff, that a lot more Aussies would get on board the franchise.
Well, they've finally did this, and as predicted, Aussies all over, gamers or otherwise , who don't play video games or who have never bought or even heard of Forza (GT is a fav down here) are now gearing up to buy the 360 and the game as well. I posted the news in many Aussie automotive forums and the feedback from the revelations is astonishing to say the least...

P.S Turn 10, whatever you do, DO NOT forget to include a Holden Torana of sorts. Trust me on this one.

I so wish the LFA was the cover car. Such a sexy, sexy car. Turn 10, please include the Nurburgring edition, now the fastest production car around the green hell. :D

Ah, the Toyota 2000GT from You Only Live Twice (albeit the hard-top version).
I love that car! Was only admiring it again last weekend while watching the movie.
Nice pick, Turn 10!

Bingo, lol

So...TGS...

this is when returning tracks from fm1 are revealed ?

surely it's not just super gt cars. They said it's bigger than fm3 TGS reveal, and that was fujimi kaido (which was rather huge, except it was rumored/leaked earlier than TGS).
Either way, i'm happy with the stuff we already know.
I still haven't preordered my LCE, will do that today or tomorrow.

IndyCar race director Brian Barnhard inexplicably restarted a race at Loudon whilst the track was wet, causing Danica Patrick to spin on the restart, taking out a number of cars including Power who is fighting for the title.

The guy makes dumb decisions in the dry too though. This past weekend he waved the green flag to start the race whilst a service truck was coming in the opposite direction on the track back to the pits.

So the Challenger with the 6.1 instead of the 6.4, and the Mustang with the 4.6 instead of the 5.0?

Hmm.

I know it's been done to fucking death and wish it would stay dead, but can someone please explain to me why the wheels and tyres look off in nearly all pics?
I want a definitive explanation here. I mean, all the cars look nice and shiny and then the whole experience gets shit on by the fucking wheels and tyres.
Help me Dr.Phil!

I want a definitive explanation here.

Because
of the way how the graphic engine is treating materials/surfaces. I really do not want to do "VS" crap here, but it is obvious how graphic engine of the other game is capable of making clear visual distinction between various types of materials/textures. Thus metal looks like metal, rubber looks like rubber, glass looks like glass, leather as leather, etc. *Problem* we have here is that actual visual representation of particular material/texture is not convincing as it could/should be despite the pretty good lightning - thus we get the "plastic" and unnatural look for it.
And lightning, of course.
