A single tear came out of my eye reading this post.Mascot said:Seems odd that Laguna would be this week's track reveal when there's a bunch of Japanese circuits to talk about.
Actually, it doesn't seem odd at all. It's perfectly consistent with the rest of FM4's marketing strategy.

I don't think they do weekends.Shaneus said:Um, I might have missed something but we haven't had a car reveal for a while, have we?

We actually asked them a while ago to do weekend reveals for them over at FC even just single cars but as always no answer. Communication with them is pretty much dead since six years now. I hoped with Brian it would change a bit but nothing.saladine1 said:I don't think they do weekends.
That would have been great.BADNED said:We actually asked them a while ago to do weekend reveals for them over at FC even just single cars but as always no answer. Communication with them is pretty much dead since six years now. I hoped with Brian it would change a bit but nothing.

Yeah, the term "Community Manager" I would've hoped meant more to the studio pre-release than just posting the odd weekly update on their website. Say what you want about Che, but he was nothing if not a visible presence of the community side of Forza 3... at least here, anyway. Proactive, too. Not media chasing people up but actually posting here.BADNED said:We actually asked them a while ago to do weekend reveals for them over at FC even just single cars but as always no answer. What pedals have you got? G25 or G27 ones are superb with the GT2, and can be got fir £50 second hand from eBay (assuming you aren't getting CSPs)Arucardo said:Did the 48 xbla codes allow redeeming forza gift cars? Don't remember anymore. Also, my fanatec should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday, can't wait to play Forza 3 again they way it's meant to be played . Haven't touched the game for a year now since I haven't had a 360 compatible wheel.

Got a G25 in great condition, I'll probably sell the wheel and shifter now.Mascot said:What pedals have you got? G25 or G27 ones are superb with the GT2, and can be got fir £50 second hand from eBay (assuming you aren't getting CSPs)
I found similar settings on a site that has settings for all the fanatec wheels ( http://www.fanatecwheel.com/settings ). I'll try it with the drift mode at 2 first. I'm used to a little dampening from iRacing but ofc I'll get rid of it if it doesn't feel right in Forza.supersaw said:I recommend that you change the following settings for a good Forza experience
Sensitivity - 540
Drift - 5 (most important one as it remove all the dampening)
ABS - 85 (but can vary in regards to preference/car)
Also turn on the xbox using the xbox power button not the wheels as I think doing it the other way limits the degrees of rotation.
If you got the h-shifter calibrate it as per the instruction manual or you might get unpredictable results.
Yeah, even misinformation is better than NO information. At least it gives us something to talk about.Shaneus said:Yeah, the term "Community Manager" I would've hoped meant more to the studio pre-release than just posting the odd weekly update on their website. I would "like" Forza 1,000 times on Facebook if it meant we got some kind of interaction between the general public (ie. not the gaming press/media) and at least the CM.
I think Turn 10 came to the conclusion that for FM4, there will be no Gaf interaction. A lot of people complained on the .net forums about how Che posted 'juicy' info here first while forgetting to post the same info on the official forums. Che's reply was that it was all about getting the game out there and Gaf was the perfect candidate...Mascot said:Yeah, even misinformation is better than NO information. Eckberg is a phantom.
Come back Che - all is forgiven!

eso76 said:The infamous potentiometer issue with brake pedal is annoying as fuck.
supersaw said:What's the issue?
eso76 said:potentiometers tend to fall out of place.
as a result, brake will sometimes engage by itself or will only work to around 60% pressure etc.
Fanatec will replace malfunctioning pedals, but they want a video of the issue and i still haven't filmed it. Must hurry up before warranty expires.
Megasoum said:I went through two pedal sets in like a month and a half. After the second one broke I gave up and took up the offer to upgrade to Clubsports for 150$.
Regular price is 200.eso76 said:yeah...doesn't really sound like an offer, that's their regular price.
Now if Fanatec sold them for 99$ to those who had issues with regular pedals..
Also, i've read people reporting issues with clubsports too.
No probs with mine, touch wood.eso76 said:Also, i've read people reporting issues with clubsports too.

Would replace with G27 pedals but can't find anyone selling them.
Arucardo said:Regular price is 200.
Yeah, they aren't cheap. But ultimately worth it if you are gonna use them for, say, five hours a week for the next five years.eso76 said:eeek.
maybe when the new fanatec wheels roll out old csp will drop in price.

Perhaps an AV showcase as well?

AV would be a nice touch, but I can't see it happening.
