Yesterday in Italy we had the chance to try the last build of the game...
The sound of the F550 GTO is UNBELIVABLE...
I tell you guys...people outside the conference were ask if inside there were the real car...
Never listen something like this before...
Also iin the Autovista mode, you can turn on the car and see the chack display...AMAzing

You are right, I would go as far to say that ALL previews thus far have been very positive.

I think most people in this thread are positive about the game and looking forward to it like kiddywinks on Christmas eve - it's the diabolical marketing that's making us chuckle..!

Played PGR3 recently. Oof - still a great game but it's not aged particularly well compared to what's available now. I remember it was somewhat rushed for the 360's release, and it does show in places.

Couldn't find my copy of PGR4... :(

This game might not have a demo. F1 2010 didn't have one did it? 2011 is coming out in a few daysvand doesn't have one.

It would be consistent with their current marketing strategy...

I've been thinking this lately. We're being handed scraps, but I've seen more Forza 4 mainstream media stuff pop up in google alerts lately than I see other games. I think marketing is going for the extended audience, especially with Kinect/Topgear/Autovista. Even with Forza getting AAA reviews, it doesn't reach the same audience as GT. MS is trying to fix that.

Pretty much. I think we all understand that they don't need to "sell" it to us (although after stating this we'll probably see a couple "no 1974 _________ or Track __________ then no purchase" posts ... but that's not the point.

The point is that they are purposely avoiding their fans. That doesn't make sense. You could have a fucking intern create some shots to post with cars. With 500 cars, 30 something tracks, Autovista, and w/e else they have in the game ... it's not hard to kick out a morsel for the people who buy your game on day 1 and don't wait for a discount.

Wonder what's with the new load cell brake setup on those pedals. Sure is purdy.

Edit: Looks like an addon to the CSPs. Looks like an adjustable dashpot in addition to a spring.

A lot of this is our fault. We get so hyped about the smallest hint of something coming that when the inevitable happens we just deflate. I think we need to start ignoring any sort of BS rumor or "inside info" and just focus on what we know and what we have known.

This up and down shit is killing me!

Do we actually know how many of the revealed tracks have different time set ups? Hockenheim and Infineon are gonna have them, we can tell from videos, but is there any other track that we know of?

Suzuka is the only other track that I know of with sunset, as seen in the E3 trailer and Dan mentioning it in the 15 gamespot video.

i wonder what happened though. First TGS event is basically canceled, then this.
Laguna Seca is this weekend right ? maybe we'll get to see that at least.

If it makes you all feel better --- it won't --- I also hate the marketing that has, so far, taken place with Forza 4 and I think I'm one of the people/families they are trying to target. We have/love Kinect, I guarantee more than one lap will be done sans controller, autovista will be used on more than a handful of occasions by us. The other thing is that neither of us knows anything about cars or tracks, I mean, I LIKE cars and I have had more than a few offensive/defensive driving courses in the military/government agencies but I don't know a damn thing about any of the vehicles other than which ones I like visually; upgrading, yeah, auto-upgrade please.

To be honest, I don't even know WHY I like Forza I just know that I do but I absolutely abhor the marketing.

slow ass track reveals of a circuit which has been in most if not all the forza games is not the right way to do things, forza 4 is sounding much more boring then another new frogger game right now, shitty marketing.

I agree marketing has been terrible.. 2 images per track is not helping, maybe a video with the reveals would be cool
