Snkfanatic said:So I need to get a 360 for this game (already have the game ordered). I was wondering what ForzaGaf's opinion of the kinetic was at this time. Do you think it will be worth it for this game and possibly other games in the future?
I am looking at getting the 250 gig packaged with the kinetic option.
flyinpiranha said:...when all is said and done I've probably spent over $600 for this game (and racing games in general) with the Wheel, stand, and CSP...
If I had a wheel for the 360, I'd totally get Kinect just for the head tracking. AutoVista seems to be worse with Kinect, because you have to "press and hold" longer.Snkfanatic said:So I need to get a 360 for this game (already have the game ordered). Mascot said:Lol, don't remind me..! I'm well over £1,000 (circa US$1,600) spent already in the past couple of months and there's still things I want to do before launch (eg Kinect). And that was with getting a massive bargain on the Playseat rig.
I'd laugh my ass off* if FM4 turned out to be a turkey come October.

The only light in my room is from the projector.
the infra red is used mostly so no light should be fine for kinect, but who knows how the forza 4 tracking will work.drugstore_cowboy said:I planned to ty the Kinect headtracking, my son hasn't used his since xmas day but I don't know how well if it all it'd work on my setup, does it need much light?

I used it when I got the game and it worked pretty well. But when I realized that it only works in arcade mode, I wanted to smash the PSeye in Yamauchi's face.flyinpiranha said:Did you use head tracking in GT5? I personally found it to be not all that responsive or great. Maybe Kinect will be different.

Vantage was in the Jalopnik vote, so was the Escort RS Cosworth and the Civic Type R EK9, and all the others :
In bold : cars confirmed in FM3 and FM4
In underline : cars in both the FM3 Ultimate hidden files and picked in the Jalopnik poll

Ordered through Amazon.

I buy Forza to race with street cars I tuned myself. I don't know one person who's genuinely excited for those cars. Get some open wheelers in this game and we'll talk.Spaceman Spiff said:Say what?

That or go the opposite route and just give us some nice long stretches of beautiful road for test drives.

As a choice I'd much rather have updated tracks (and more tracks) as well. But I'd be willing to pay for DLC that does any of these extras.Spaceman Spiff said:I must be the only person here who doesn't actually care to see rallying in Forza. Don't get me wrong, it's an incredible racing discipline, but unless Turn 10 could dedicate the resources to represent the sport faithfully and substantially-- which I don't see happening on a two-year dev cycle with all the other stuff they're trying to do-- I'd rather they kept the focus on tarmac racing.
At the very least, qualifying and proper pit stops, not to mention updating some (many) of the existing racetracks, would be nice.

Fair enough. You should look into GTR2 and Race 07 + expansions.Jamesways said:I'm completely the opposite. I play racing games to mimic the motorsports I follow. I'll never be an FIA GT or ALMS driver, that's why I enjoy these games. The bigger the R Class list the better IMO. Now they need more tracks of those racing series.
I also love painting race replicas, putting ones in the game that weren't included.
I don't want to drive a Civic or an Altima around, I do that every day. Granted not at a track day, but gimme a GT car on a licensed track anyday over that.
