Thank fuck it isn't.

It's not my cup of tea, but I sort of get the Aventador-got-frisky-with-an-R18 visual depravity of the Veneno, but the Egoista is genuinely one of, if not the most stomach-churningly vile, hideous, and outright repulsive cars I've ever had the misfortune of laying my eyes on.

I know that supercars need a certain amount of idiocy to justify their existence, but the Egoista proved that even here you could go too far. I honestly felt that Lamborghini was devolving into a parody of itself, until the Huracan came along and reminded me that they're still capable of occasionally turning out a respectable, if familiar, design.

well, egoista is a prototype based on gallardo, veneno on aventador.
both were designed to celebrate lamborghini's 50th anniversary,
and both are shooting for ultimate aerodynamics and behavior close to racing prototypes.
so part of their looks is their aerodynamics approach.

of the two cars only veneno went to sale with a couple of pieces and the now launching dozen or so of veneno spiders.
veneno has power to weight ratio of under 2kg/horse and aerodynamics to match,
and given the above, car looks SICK.

I think that walter de silva still is the most talented designer to pass through the entire group VAG the last decades.

edit: oh shit car pack info is out :D

Amazing car list. I think we should have a fun race with the highlighted car after one of our Ford races in the next five weeks.

Finally, the XB GT!
It seems though, that I'm going to have to wait for FM6 to see more classic Aussie stuff. Hopefully, Turn 10 will have the licenses sewn up.

Also, love the Toyota Celica GT. Would love to see even more classic Japanese cars.

Oh, and the obligatory candy van pic

I foresee a lot of A Team liveries appearing tonight

To me those additions are useless, same with the Hummer H1, I just have no desire to race such cars. I suppose they are added mainly for painters?

The same with the AMC Gremlin in Forza 4, a simply terrible car, but most likely added because it was in Waynes World :p

I disagree actually. In both Forza and real life, there is something incredibly enjoyable about driving a slow car fast. Being able to take a car to it's absolute limit is something that can rarely be done with most sports/performance cars, even in Forza. I remember driving my friends CRX HF that had 62HP. It had a 5 speed manual and I had more fun driving that then almost any other car I have driven (outside of my M3). Something about being able to mash the pedal all the way and rip through the gears was just bloody fantastic.

The Type D is a surprisingly good drive. Likes to push wide, but puts its power down well and pulls like a freight train, (190+ mph on the 'Ring with revs to spare).

USF2000 is great fun, too. Get a Star Mazda in here and we'll have the complete Indy ladder.

I'm glad to hear that they're not yet done with car DLC,
(Porsche plz)
. There's still quite a ways to go to matching FM4 in terms of sheer numbers, but the variety in FM5 can't be beat.

I got the game last week, and I’ve been loving it so far. I do have a few quick questions if anyone has time to share some thoughts.

Current Assist Setup:
Suggested Line = ON
STM and TCS = OFF
ABS = ON
Steering = Normal
Transmission = Auto (for now)
Damage/Wear = Simulation

After a little more adjusting to the game I plan to switch to manual, but I’m wondering about three things:

1.Using a control, what is the real difference in Normal vs Simulation steering? Which do you all recommend?

2.I’ve read a few places say that it is a bad idea to play with TCS off as I get to the more powerful cars. Any suggestions?

3.Do I need to do anything special to “train” my drivatar (special events or such), or is the normal racing teaching it enough?

Thanks for any input!

Yes I love slower more nimble cars such as the original mini too but cars like the Gremlin and Hummer H1? I'm not sure how they are enjoyable to drive in the slightest.

turn off all racing lines. you'll havee a hard time at first, but its the only way to actually learn the courses.

1. sim steering won't assist you in correcting when you lose traction, you'll need to be much more precise with your steering inputs. starting out, i'd definitely recommend normal otherwise you'll probably spin out more then a few times, especially in fast cars.

2. leave it off. if you find a car you need/want to drive that is all over the place and you aren't able to properly modulate your throttle control, put it on.

3. drivatar pulls data from all your races. nothing special needed. the more cars and tracks you drive the more data it can gather. i'm nearly level 300, but my drivatar sync is a "measly" 67%.

Look how low you can get the F-100. Holy shit

Veneno is a beast!

Thanks! I will try out driving without the line tonight. Cross your fingers, haha.

Yuck! the Veneno is soo ugly!

Good pack with those classic open wheelers, finally a pack with new cars!

Im dying for the 458 Speciale :(

I finally managed a sub-7-minute lap, albeit dirty, (6:54 and change), with a stock P1 on the 'Ring. I dialed in a more neutral, somewhat less twitchy setup compared to the default one, but the car still gets squirrely under braking and I'm too chickenshit to drive it without traction control.

Damn that Veneno is crazy looking. At some angles, it's got a bit of Le Mans prototype to it.

I wish I'd bought the Car Pass when it was on offer now rather than just buying a few of the cars I wanted :(

Man I'd rather really like some Suzuka.
I really hope that when Suzuka comes back, it does in all it's laserscanned glory and not a rehashed version like Road America. The Suzuka we had was seriously inaccurate in some points, and also outdated as well.

Is there any chance of current/future car packs being compatible with Horizon 2 on the Xbone? That'd be pretty great, the main thing stopping me from buying packs for Forza 5 is the fact I'll be moving on to Horizon in September.

Why would they do that? They'd lose exactly 50% of revenue for copying and pasting the car DLC for Horizon 2.

You'll get Monza and you will like it!!!!

Mille Miglia or Targa Florio would be a great companion to the vintage and classic cars being offered up!

Hey p3tran, do you agree that the 2 way diff upgrade and relevant tuning is one of the most valuable tools in the game?

Honestly, if I had only 2 upgrades to choose from it would certainly be springs/dampers and a 2 way diff. It is just so versatile!

yes, it is relevant, I use it to finetune car behavior during turns. usually can make the difference between staying on course and going to the garden to have a closer look at those poppies :D
but its been a long time we havent run together my friend.. why dont you join on the gaf league fun?
and in any case, whenever you see me online shoot me an invite and we'll do some chat'n'racin' 8)

Man I'd rather really like some Suzuka.

Camino Extreme is just superior though. After naiking the Ring for about two hours sokid thenother day I never thought i'd appreciate the ache running through my hands due to the genuine punishment the wheel inflicts.

Glorious, satisfying punishment. More of the same, please.

Suzuka just doesn't offer that and is more like a real world Maple Valley.
