Four in June - Summer Madness

Let's try!

1. Ace Attourney 5
2. GTAV
3. The Wolf Among Us Episodes 2-4.
4. Kentucky Route Zero: Act 3

I was playing Fallout: New Vegas - Old World Blues, but it turned out to be such a dissapointment that I have no real urge to continue. Funny writing, but the rest of it is just annoying crap.:(

I've "beaten" two today.

Mario Kart 8
Super Metroid

These were both really, really good games. Mario Kart is gonna be great multiplayer, even after clearing all GPs on all difficulties. Super Metroid, on the other hand, is just one of the most engrossing games I've ever played.

My 4 are:

Super Time Force (Xbox One)
State of Decay Line (XBLA)
Max: The Curse of Brotherhood (Xbox One)
Dead Rising 3 (Xbox One)

Other possibilities:

Assassins Creed III (Xbox 360)
Resistance 3 (PS3)
Fable Anniversary (Xbox 360)
Some sort of Halo

I won't finish all of them I suspect but I will try

1/4
Finished Burial at Sea p.2 Overall Bioshock Infinite and both BaS are great. Impressive and beauty, but the whole story is incredible strange and hard to understand.
IMO first dlc was better than second, but it was a great journey for me.
Now Sleeping Dogs and X360 time. I must turn it on, after 5 months.

PS3:
Burial at Sea p.2
Pixel Junk Shooter

X360:
Sleeping Dogs
Shadow of the Damned

Wow I actually finished three games in May!! Granted I switched one of them out but.. eh, still counts! Let's see if I can do it again in June.

Goals:
1. Bound by Flame
2. Stick it to the Man
3. Bayonetta
4. Syndicate (not sure why I'm playing this... at least I'm almost done....)

Bonus:
Bravely Default

I know nobody is reading this but for some reason updating this post is really helping me get thru my backlog =]

Almost finished with the story mode for Injustice. Its okay, just pretty tedious, even at only two hours. Around half way through Final Fantasy X as well :)

Also why did Grief stop making this thread?
I made the thread last month a few days in after no sign of him posting, while this month I just posted one as soon as I could.

I wont be playing next month, so if Grief wants to take over again or if someone else wants to post thats cool too.

List for June:
Watch_Dogs (Xbox One)
Battlefield 4 (Xbox One)
Mario Kart 8
A Link Between Worlds (Still have to finish the last dungeon)

Watch Dogs
Gravity Rush
Dragon's Crown (from ps+ so from the beginning)
Mercenary Kings

Should keep me pretty busy while I'm on the path to recovery!

Pretty good month overall, and if UFC turns out to be good will get even better.

I didn't really participate last month, but hey I'll try this month:

3DS - Bravely Default

PSV - FFX HD

PS3 - Lightning Returns

iOS - FFV (participating in FF5FJF2014 for Childs Play Charity)

Backups:
PSV - MGS3 HD, FFX-2
PS3 - plenty to choose from.

I failed miserably last month, but I've got a lot less to do this month, so...

The Walking Dead: Season Two (so far) (PC)
The Wolf Among Us (so far) (PC)
Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate (PS4)
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (PS3)

Already finished:

Stick it to the Man (PS4)

I already played through Episode I of The Walking Dead: Season Two a week ago, and will also be playing through Watch Dogs (PS4) and Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS4), but don't know if I'll be finishing those this month. Will update at the end!

Ok l'ets see :

Drakengard 3
Van Helsing 2
Watch Dogs (this one i'm really not sure as I don't like it very much)
Kirby Triple Deluxe

Well, I did manage to beat Old World Blues, which I had given up on, so new list!

1. Fallout: New Vegas - Old World Blues
2. The Wolf Among Us Episodes 2-4.
3. Ace Attourney 5
4. GTAV

Well, Wolfenstein is done. Really surprised with how good this game actually ended up being. One of my favorites of the year so far.

  • Transistor
  • Wolfenstein: The New Order
  • Watch_Dogs
  • Mario Kart 8

Two down so far
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Octodad: Dadliest Catch

Both have just been okay. Neither were brilliant, though Octodad was fun to play in a group.

1. Fallout: New Vegas - Old World Blues
2. The Wolf Among Us Episodes 2-4.
3. Ace Attourney 5
4. GTAV

So that's The Wolf Among Us catched up then. Really enjoyable to play.

Probably I'm going to finish these:

1)Watch_Dogs
2)The Wolf Among Us Episode 4/The Walking Dead S2E3 (I count them as one as they are short
3)Conception II
4)Monster Monpiece??

I can't decide what I would like to clear this month. I'm sorta re-invested in a project I've been working on, so I'm kind of burned out on the gaming-side of things.

Wii U:
Mario Kart 8

Even though this isn't really a game you can "finish", I cleared all the cups on 150 CC (got Golds and *** in all but three of the cups) and saw the credits, so I'll consider this "beaten". It's Mario Kart...there's nothing else to really say. Game still has rubber band AI item bullshit and while the visuals and core gameplay are great, it's still got that love/hate relationship because of the usual nonsense the series is known for. The entire time I was playing the game all I could think about was how ridiculous a new Mario 64-style platformer would like in a setting like this. Hope E3 provides those goods!

Remember Me Plat Achieved!
Really enjoyed this game. My only complaints were that I wish there were more pressens and combos. Other then that I enjoyed the fighting and story as well as the visuals.

Killer is Dead
Jumped into this since it came in from gamefly. Had a blast with this. Wish it was waaaay longer though.

Next up is Beyond and Skyrim. Going to try and plat both.

Got through Mega Man V on the 3DS VC and also am considering Mario Kart beaten. Unlocked all the characters, beat 150cc mode and have just been playing online since then. I'm four missions into Act 2 in Watch_Dogs.

  • Transistor
  • Wolfenstein: The New Order
  • Watch_Dogs
  • Mario Kart 8
Bonus:

  • Mega Man V (Game Boy)

I get the feeling I'm going to fail spectacularly, marathon training starts next week and it's getting hit in Phoenix so 4-5 am wake up is going to be the norm - effectively killing any nighttime gaming.

That said, it's good to have goals.

1. Trine 2 PS4
2. Transistor PS4
3. Watch-Dogs PS4
4. Arkham City PS3

I'm an hour or so into Transistor, but only in the first act of WD, and the first mission or 2 of Thief. I may end up padding my stats and target Rain and Castle of Illusion since they are both pretty short. After finally wrapping up Uncharted last month I could sub in Tomb Raider DE and keep it rolling.

Trine 2 came out of nowhere to be my first game down. My wife took our baby to hang out with my in-laws this weekend, so I had a few buddies come over and crash for the weekend and play a bunch.

We also got partway through Transistor, switching off every little bit, but 4 player Super Pole Riders was the star of the weekend. That is phenomenal 2v2 couch coop/vs. Especially when you
unlock the secret Rainbow Road level
. If you have three friends you really need to play that game, all four of us are now hoarse from yelling/screaming/cursing/cheering.

Finally beat FTL for the first time! That's a game I can cross off my list but won't stop playing

I made the thread last month a few days in after no sign of him posting, while this month I just posted one as soon as I could.

I wont be playing next month, so if Grief wants to take over again or if someone else wants to post thats cool too.

Ah ok gotcha

Looks like I don't qualify =[

Bravely Default: I'm pretty sure I'm at the savepoint before the final boss.
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars: Lego games do seem to work as excellent palate-cleansers, I've noticed.
Mario Kart 8
Picross E4
Costume Quest: Grubbins on Ice: Had a small chunk of time to fill in, so the length of that fit nicely. I've still got Lost Hobo King from Stacking too, that'll turn up at some point no doubt.

I've beaten two games so far:

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney - Dual Destines

Not sure what else I'll beat this month, something short probably.

Just beat the Battlefield 3 campaign. It was the first time I played a shooter with a mouse and keyboard, still gonna take some getting used to.

- Bond of The Skies (IOS)
- Swordigo (IOS)
- Lego Lord of the Ring (IOS) and
- Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (Vita)

That's one, nice little diversion - certainly got my $0,99's worth.

Watch_Dogs
Watch_Dogs Platinum Trophy
Mario Kart 8
Titanfall
Thomas Was Alone

Well, this has been a pretty productive month for me. I will probably play more multiplayer Titanfall and Mario Kart through June, and this Destiny alpha isn't going to play itself.....

Hoping to finish Strider tomorrow or pump more hours into Final Fantasy X.

Gf started playing Trine 2 yesterday so i want to playthrough myself too.

I failed miserably last month, but I've got a lot less to do this month, so...

The Walking Dead: Season Two (so far) (PC)
The Wolf Among Us (so far) (PC)
Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate (PS4)
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (PS3)

Already finished:

Middle of the month update. I haven't touched any of the games from my list, but rather have finished the following:

Stick it to the Man (PS4) (Already had that finished earlier when putting this list up)
Torchlight (PC)
Batman: Arkham Origins (PC) (Was only an hour from the ending after abandoning it months back)
FEAR 3 (PC)

I'm on a roll with finishing games, so I'm going to keep trucking and finish these before the Steam summer sale cripples my backlog:

To The Moon (PC)
The Walking Dead: Season Two (PC) (What has been released so far)
The Wolf Among Us (PC) (What has been released so far)
Aliens: Colonial Marines (PC)

First time!

My four will probably be:

Mario Kart 8
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
Beyond: Two Souls
Watch Dogs

Bonus:
Kirby's Adventure (shouldn't take too long.)
Fallout New Vegas ( Going on my third playthrough. Trying to get through all the DLC on this one.)

- Bond of The Skies (IOS)
- Swordigo (IOS)
- Lego Lord of the Ring (IOS) and
- Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (Vita)

That's it for Swordigo, got quite challenging in the last quarter of the game. Still, quite good action adventure!

Bravely Default: IT IS DONE. One hundred and thirtysomething hours, and after being on this list since January, finally polished it off.
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
Mario Kart 8
Picross E4
Costume Quest: Grubbins on Ice
Call of Duty 3: Encountered a few bugs, and balance seems a bit iffy (would that be why it's regarded as the black sheep of the series?), but liking it well enough. I can sort of see the slow evolution after playingh the first two. And knocking this on the head would open up Modern Warfare, so I'll finally get to see what all the fuss is about.
Reading All The Harry Potter Books: Okay, not *strictly* gaming, but gaming-related: I'm rereading the first five and going to read Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows for the first time, and when I've done that, I can finally get around to Lego Harry Potter in my Lego Series Playthrough. And after I've done all that, I can start planning catchup on the Pirates of the Carribean films. That's going into my 'portable gaming' slot, with occasional diversions for Picross E4.

Looks like I don't qualify =[

If you have one friend it is still really good. We played 1v1 for a few hours on the PS4 before realizing we could download it on the PS3 and use the 2 DS3 and the 2 DS4's I have to go 2v2.

You can do 2v2 with 2 controllers, but you have to share a controller, each using one stick to control angle of your individual pole...it's not great.

That said, it's good to have goals.

1. Trine 2 PS4
2. Transistor PS4
3. Watch-Dogs PS4
4. MGS Ground Zeroes PS4

I finished Transistor last night and really enjoyed it. Not quite to the level I enjoyed Bastion, and it felt much shorter than Bastion, but overall a fun game with great design and music.

I picked up Ground Zeroes on sale the other day so I just may finish 4 this month.

1) Ravenmark
2) Infamous
3) Dragon's Crown
4) TBA

I've been doing very poorly this month due to Wildstar. Now that I have started putting some time in to my backlog I finally finished my first game of the month. I have a decent amount of time put in to Infamous and Dragon's Crown, so I still think I can do 4 this month.

Pokemon Y - finished
Bravely Default - finished
Yumi's Odd Odyssey - in progress
Bugs vs Tanks - on tap

Tomodachi Life has hijacked my existence so I don't see myself getting anything done.

Ground Zeroes down. First MGS game, and it really is not for me. I'm not good at stealth games, some random thing always seems to screw me, and then it all falls apart.

I really want to watch all of the cutscenes of all of the games. The story seems fascinating, but I am just not a fan of the gameplay. Really stoked to knock it out in less than 2 hours, clearly I'm not ashamed to pad my stats.

Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2
Sniper Elite V2
Kirby's Adventure (almost done)
Kirby's Return to Dreamland (halfway)

I'm hoping I can beat Child of Light too, I think I'm around halfway on that. The goal for summer is to make some progress on my backlog.

Wii U:
Mario Kart 8
Ittle Dew

Just finished Ittle Dew for the first time this morning. Been in a Nintendo mood still so even though I could have gotten it WAY cheaper on PC/Steam, I felt more inclined to play something like this on a Nintendo platform (plus, I really like having map/inventory stuff on the game pad). It was an interesting little Zelda-like game. I liked the fact that it respected the players time (finished it with all three weapons with only 3 1/2 hours clocked), but it was a little too reliant/focused on block puzzles. The different block puzzles/obstacles and how they made use of your tools/weapons was cool though.

I think the ice cave dungeon was where the game made the most sense to me. That place had really good flow/pacing. The overworld was a bit of a let down, however. It's essentially a training ground for each of the three tools which ultimately funnels the player back to the castle (the core dungeon in the game). It's an interesting/different structure, for sure, but not what I expected. I still have the Master Cave to clear and a few other cards/paper pieces to collect, but I'm not sure I dug it enough to run the game with different combinations to see how fast I can clear it.

Got through all the main missions in Defiance, and after beating the final boss, got disconnected from the servers. Totally done with this game: it was average to begin with, but ever since it went F2P, it's been an unstable mess.

Also picked up and then beat Sonic Generations for the 3DS. Definitely nowhere as good as the PC/console version, but it's so much better than the horror show that was Sonic Lost World.

Still finding my way through Watch_Dogs, although the game isn't doing much to hold my attention.

  • Transistor
  • Wolfenstein: The New Order
  • Watch_Dogs
  • Mario Kart 8
Bonus:

  • Mega Man V (Game Boy)
  • Defiance
  • Sonic Generations (3DS)
