Mr. and Mrs. Smith was awesome. Represent.

However, Taken was ruined for me by someone pointing out how the daughter ran. :lol
I was in the theater with my brother and friend and all we could do was point out how she ran. All I could imagine was the way Scooby Doo runs away from monsters, oh man the way her legs flail'd :lol

Why? The two Fantastic Four movies were fine as they were. It's not Marvel's fault people wanted something out of the comics that wasn't there.

Ugh, can it really be better? I hope so.

I even prefer the original original corman movie over the new one. Yeah I know it's crazy.

What is the definitive word on the Spider-Man rights? Is it a perpetuity thing or is it six films or what?
I think they only signed up for 3 films and then they signed up to do 3 more after the last one or they signed up to do 6 from the start (which I don't think is correct given how people seem to be worried about where the series will go after the hear they were planing on making 3 new ones)

Either way I know Spidey's contract ends in 3 more films (I think the Venom film counts to that).

X-Men . . . .looks like Disney will have to try harded to get that shit back. Fox is whoreing the shit out of it . . . really, a fucking Gambit spin-off?!?!

Then why is everyone going all "Uh oh!" after hearing they are doing 3 more?

Meh, makes sense I guess (Reporters making hype off of making it seem like the 3rd was the end of the agreed movies) . . . and I hear they might reboot it. >_>

Fox has so far done one "X-Men" spinoff in "Wolverine." The studio is working on a sequel to that film and has scripts for "X-Men Origins: First Class," and "X-Men Origins: Magneto." Potential spinoffs for the Gambit and Deadpool characters have also been discussed.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT

The spin-off for Gambit rests on whether or not John Carter of Mars (which Gambit is playing JC) takes off, IMO. Either way it'll be years before that comes around, if they decide to go for it.

John Carter of Mars is gonna be sex on a biscuit, guaranteed. Day one, based on the talent alone, ladies & gentlemen.

It's gonna be a Grade-A Texas Tea Party.

There's always some stupid or nagging point from turning any Fox movies (save some Searchlight titles) from being ok or decent to good, or even great. Anyone else notice this? Everything they release is just passable at best, no matter how big the movie is. Looking at my BD collection, Fox is almost completely absent. This is the last 20 years or so that I'm talking about.

Their best movies from the '90s are:
Office Space
The Thin Red Line
Home Alone
Die Hard 2 and Die Hard With a Vengeance
Mrs. Doubtfire
Speed
True Lies
There's Something About Mary
Fight Club.

This decade, they've had:
Minority Report (one of my favourites I must admit)
Master and Commander
I, Robot
Man on Fire
Mr and Mrs Smith (also one of my favourites)
Taken (also one of my favourites)

Ok, so they aren't all terrible, they've had more noteables than I remember, but my point is that I cringe whenever I see that big FOX logo at the beginning of movies, who doesn't? They need to stop doing shit like this. If you look at the whole list of shit they've done in the past 20 years, it's pretty ugly.

I think with every passing decade, their quality is decreasing and Fox Searchlight is becoming their only saving grace.

Ok, final point, there's no reason to hope or believe that this is going to be any good either.
Minority Report was Dreamworks/Paramount.

This announcement means absolutely nothing.

Not a thing.

Just Fox making sure they keep their vice like grip on what Marvel rights they have.

That is all.

I admit in shame that i kinda liked the first FF movie so i got it on dvd.
And i have the stupid habit that i need to complete every series of films, so i got the 2nd to, but man that movie sucks so much, makes me mad when i think about it.

This isn't happening guys. They'd never reboot so soon. They're just keeping the rights for down the line.

The whole Disney/Marvel merger has brought this to people's attention but I've been saying it for fucking ages.

This 'trick' among the Hollywood studios is as old as time itself.

Some comic characters should just be left on paper.

Unless they make an animated film there is simply no way to take a charater like "Mr. Fantastic" and turn him into something remotely palatable.

The worst part of that story is the Hancock sequel news.....ugh. That movie wins the "worst second half compared to first half of movie" award, it is so terrible.

The Movie version of Dr. Doom wouldn't last 5 minutes against his comic counterpart.

They nailed The Human Torch and Ben Grimm and failed in every regard with every other story and casting choice.

Reading that whole thing depressed me, seeing all the talk of Spin Offs and Sequels to bad spin offs.

But then...as if they hadn't shit on my day enough, some ass wipe decided it was a good idea to make a sequel of HANCOCK. Are you kidding me?

But this news came right after Marvel getting bought out by Disney so that really is the logic reason for thinking the reboot got announced.
