To me she already looks too old as well. But then so does Reed. But Sue looks botoxed too (my bad, if not...).
The funny thing is Alba has a business empire worth HUNDREDS of millions, so she is literally Sue Storm minus the invisibility

You basically have a whole generation of people like that - and most of them went into movie industry and stuff. So it is hard to find even actors without political leanings like that. And that's without some older gens that went off rails.

Kirby is far more believable as a scientist than Jessica Alba, the latter was like the Alone in the Dark movie trying to convince me Tara Reid is an archaeologist (funny enough, Sue’s doctorate in the comics is archaeology).
Alba was the sole miscast of the 2000’s FF movies (well, Doom was handled poorly, but that wasn’t Julian McMahon’s fault but rather the script as Julian himself was a fairly good choice). It’s not like Alba didn’t try in the role, but they could have easily found more convincing actresses compared to her.

But I agree, Alba wasn't believable as Sue Storm. Had nothing to do with her looks, IMO,... More to do with her mannerisms

It wasn’t simply her being beautiful in of itself. Alba goes for a specific Barbie-style of look which just contrasts with Sue Storm IMHO. Kate Mara is very attractive and, aside from the bad wig and the 2015 movie itself being shit of course, that didn’t contrast me believing she’s a scientist. Hell, Kerry Washington is gorgeous in the 2000’s FF movies and I could believe her being a scientist if she played one.
If Alba can sing well (?), she could play a character like Dazzler from X-men well enough. I just don’t think she was a good fit for Sue.
I will absolutely stand 100% on my Tara Reid take. She plays every role I’ve even her in like she can barely mentally register what anyone is telling her. But to be fair, if someone know a film/show she actually did well in, feel free to shout it out, I have no problems with a pleasant surprise.
