Wake me up when it gets widespread. I just spent a few minutes looking for it, and it's nowhere to be found, for me at least.

I'm going to play some Battlefied 2 and go to sleep.

I find it bizarre that one did not find "Do You Want to" catchy. I think it's the catchiest song I have heard in years.
 
I don't really like the new single...Maybe because it's a bit too happy sounding. I really liked the first album though, so I'll be checking this one out.

Quite possibly. I must have listened to it 100s of times over and over in the past few days. Love it. Loved the first album too when I finaly got to listen to it. And to think for the longest time I wouldn't give Franz Ferdinand a chance because for whatever reason I thought they were just another annoying nu-rock band.
 
Damnit, I neeeed this. Oh well, I'm sure it'll show up in a place I can get it soon. Absolutely can't wait to hear it.

I couldnt stand the first album... so im sure i'll hate this one also... alot of that type of stuff will pass soon... i hope...

I've only heard "Do You Want to" and it is definitely not fake.

Yeah the single has been out for a few weeks. The cd comes out in just a bit under a month. My guess is that we'll see a proper release sometime soon, I know that the tracklisting is real. Or at least semi real.

I've seen the album floating around but didn't dl it. I have too much stuff to listen to right now.
 
Damn, I didn't know it was that close to release. *checks sources more often than normal, which was daily*.
 
I just realized the new Dandy Warhols comes out THIS WEEK. Their last album was easily the most disappointing release of that year. Anyone know if the new one's a rebound?
 
So I just googled for the video to Do You Want To and I must say it was terribly disappointing. Though I haven't listened to their first album for a long while, so maybe my tastes have... moved on. I've been listening to Bloc Party a lot recently, I'm addicted to Banquet but I tend to get all the songs stuck in my head at once.

You can stream the whole thing on their website and/or NME. I'm still undecided; it sounds way more folky than their previous albums in my opinion. I still love all their albums, though, including Monkey House, wtf are you talking about it was disappointing?

Just finished with the first full listen. Illinois is still my favorite album of the year, but this is a great album, an extremely "super awesome number one fun" type record. Can't wait to pick this up with the new BSS on October 4th.

:lol :lol :lol And Yes, I finalyl got a chance to get around to listening to most of this just now. I'm on "Eleanor put your boots on" and it's pretty good shit, asides from the single. I get the sense that this is just a bit more focused on the vocals than their first album. Very good stuff.
