Best part of it all is that the record label told him it couldn't be used as a single due to the length--so he leaked it to one of his radio DJ friends.

I'm positive that the people who bash oasis havent listened to but maybe one or two of their songs. There's no way you could hear tracks like Rock 'n' Roll Star, Live Forever, Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger, Cigarettes and Alcohol, Listen Up, Stand By Me, The Importance of Being Idle, Part of the Queue, Little by Little, She's Electric, Whatever, I Hope, I Think, I Know, Cast No Shadow, Slide Away, Morning Glory, Supersonic, etc. and not think a band who could produce them was superb. It just isnt possible.

Freddie owns anyone. Lennon made a few good songs but I don't really like most of the stuff anymore. Don't know if I could even fill up a "Best Of" CD.

I might give you Mercury on vocals, but John Lennon totally owns him in terms of songwriting. Don't even try and defend it. Also, this thread needs more of the best band in the past 20 years, oasis!
