Ok the game is pretty bad ass, some great depth to the combat, the music and atmosphere are spot on...haven't put it down since I started playing
The more I play this game the more I like it. It was the last fight of CODE 2 that pretty much sucked me in. I liked the game until then, but during that fight it all just clicked. Played for a good bunch of hours, and finally got myself quick travel too, this right here made the game a lot better inside the Panopticon.
no it does make it faster. all the devs did was add that you can hold down the button but there is no advantage to doing so besides not breaking your O button lol
i'm gonna be quite honest, the only thing i don't like about this game so far (that is a big problem at least) is the melee combat. its far too stiff and slow for me. Luckily i'm maining guns/ ranged weapons which are pretty ace.
the problems is there was no real thought put into the attack animations therefore does not jive too well with the game itself. they went for flash over actual practicality.
does not help too that the monsters general design and attack patterns dont leave them to be melee combat friendly. when they are knocked on their ass doesnt count.
Yup. I may miss what I am hitting half the time, but damn if I don't look cool doing so.
Also, the sprinter control scheme really is the best imo.
I see everyone saying that they are rocking the sprinter layout. Am I the only one using marksman and loving it?

As far as controls go, I used Technical for a while, but I've gone back to the default. I prefer being able to aim the Ibara regardless of what weapon I'm using and without some claw-like grip.
So I nearly bought this game in Gamestop today without knowing anything about it and the backs of the Vita boxes are so small with only 1/3 of it for game details. Whats the best kind of game to compare it to in gameplay style?
It's an old school third person shooter (pre-Gears) structured like a hunting RPG (MonHun or Soul Sacrifice) with an awesome grappling hook and very in depth melee for a shooter, all with a heavy multiplayer focus. So I nearly bought this game in Gamestop today without knowing anything about it and the backs of the Vita boxes are so small with only 1/3 of it for game details. Still using the Technical layout here. No complaints at all, feels perfect for me.
I knew I could watch Gameplay videos, but I thought I'd ask the fans what it sounded like before I saw actual content. It sounds like an awesome game that would be great to add to my collection, I'll defiantly pick it up tomorrow.

Using technical since it was the only one where square was reload and R is shoot.
A lil hard to change thorn buttons depending on weapon type, but meh it works.
Marksman has the reload button on the square and shooting on the R too
wish ad-hoc party would work for this game, i lent my friend my vita since i have a vita tv and bought this game digitally, but yeah that didnt work out, he's thinking of buying this game since its on the cheap and lend him the vita in the long run. Love this game so far, just got to code 3.

This should work....how doesnt it?

What do you mean? Ad-hoc from vita to vita tv should work fine.
Just reached Code 5, so I feel like I should update everyone on how the game is going for me so far.
I think someone died, but I'm keep being told I can go back in time to save that person again.... Whatever.
But overall I'm still disappointed on how slow it's taking to kill off that 1,000,000 year sentence though. I've only killed about 60,000 years of it, and I still have another 940,000 to go! I have a feeling that End Game will be grinding that to 0. So I hope we
Can anyone tell what the difficulty of the plat is going to be for this one? I'm thinking about picking it up either way, just curious.
Oh thought he was talking ad hoc in general... why is there a need of ad hoc party when in game ad hoc works and there is online?adhoc party is a broken unsupported forgotten pos...
which is unfortunate since woukd be great if it did work. sony should have picked up the xlink kai folks when they had the chance back in the psp days
Ad-hoc works, ad-hoc Party app from ps3 does not, we tried it and no go.

One of the trophies is probably to get your sentence down to 0.
After a good 20 hours, I'm not even done with the main quest, and by my calculations (and information I learned from people who bought the Japanese version of the game) my sentence will be around 900,000 years after I finish the main quest. So a good 200-400 hours of grinding I would say.
