Thank the Lord it's over. I've never been to a place where I felt like I was in immediate danger from cyclists! Cambridge is definitely a special place.

I think I need to stop visiting this place so much.... only had this monitor for a few months (yes it's OLED) :messenger_tears_of_joy:

it's not noticeable in normal use. this is a specific grey level % that shows up burn in/dse and stuff. I can't take a photo without all those colour artifacts.

What did you guys think of the Trainspotting sequel? I thought the book sequel was better but it was also about making amateur porn and that would never fly in a movie.

never read the books (can't stand the author he's a dick). the sequel was shite. i can't remember anything of it. the original movie is all that matters.

I enjoyed it immensely and saw it twice at the cinema. Obviously a sequel is unlikely to have the same cultural impact as the first movie.

Well, the shipping cost on this mail forwarding service was way too expensive. It was bullcrap.

Kind of annoyed me, but my package should arrive in 2 days.
 
My brain is degenerating, quickly. I was trying to remember the english word for air conditioning (Klimaanlage in german). I had the "japanese" (エアコン, eakon) in mind already, which is basically just a loanword transcribed in bullshit katakana script from the english word, so for all intents and purposes it's the same word. Yet for the life of me I couldn't figure out the english one for like a solid minute. Klima... Climate.. no, that' cant... eakon... ea... ää.. air.., air something AIR CONDITIONG FOR FUCK'S SAKE

I routinely have these kinda issues. It's especially bad since usually it's the other way around and I can't figure out the german word for something, as a german native. I had to look up the word "sewer" once because I was talking to a coworker about some FromSoft game and couldn't figure out the german one. Truth be told I fail to recall it now :3

Honestly, considering all the booze, it could be worse - and someday probably will :D

This happens to all of us don't worry 😁

The other day I couldn't remember the french word for "castle".
I forgot about it then 10 minutes later "château" popped in my head.

I see it as brain lag is all.

About 10 years ago I bought an Edward Kenway figurine from McFarlane toys for around 350$.

Upon delivery customs fucked me in the ass for 140$. It was a really big box though.

You have my sympathies 😊

Yeah. I better not get screwed over by customs. I assume it will fly through customs.

It is supposed to be delivered in two days.

I guess UPS goes fast through customs or something.

not trying to be funny.... just curious :messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

i don't know anything about hockey but loved playing it.

womans sports can be a lot more entertaining than mens. i'm more into football (soccer) and the difference between mens and womens is significant. it's actually way more fun to watch.
