Still getting kicked with DC errors every so often but it's starting to work more often than not. Did have a counselor floating over the lake the entire time in the last match so she escaped. And previously, had to kill a fellow counselor with a frying pan because he was stuck in a closet. That was pretty hilaiorus.

Watching Twitch now... streamer is stuck in the car. This is priceless. Poor AdmiralBahroo. What a glitch.

I got all of the car parts needed, and when I get in to start it, the game bugs out on me and gets stuck on the scoreboard. Then Jason showed up and killed me.

*sigh*

When the stars align where the game doesn't bug out and everyone has a mic then it's fun to play. I would've liked to have seen this wait for an October release and have the single player finished, and bugs fixed.

October has a Friday the 13th to release it on too

I heard Microsoft always takes forever with patches because they have to approve it.

Or something like that. Love having the worst version of this game.

Wow. They couldn't handle 75k players? Seriously? This is a game based on a major property priced at only $40. Of course it was gonna get a shit ton of players.

Amazing game even with bad optimization and network issues. I hope this shows Hollywood the very real hunger for the franchise.

I'd love for this to be the spark that lit a flame for new films! Yes,I know they're always "working"on one, but none of that matters if they're always strangled in the crib.

The joys of saving everything on remote servers. At least on consoles, they really should have allowed local saving.

Clearly their success has also been their downfall this weekend.

I have no doubts whatsoever that this game will eventually be something very special and to be quite honest I'm giving them the chance because the game is so damn fun to play despite all the issues.

This is how I feel about it. I want the game to have legs. Fix the bugs, add more DLC stages and Jason's.

Give me a activate community and options. I'll keep playing and supporting the game. Worst fears is that people without the knowledge of how small the team is and the budget they had. They will see this weekend as a reason to pass or give up on the game.

If whatever movies they're thinking of making would be as bad as the one they just cancelled recently then that's okay. Every time they try to deviate, which should be fine, they deviate in a bad way (awful psychic girl, space, making a movie about Jason's childhood and his father), it's not great. But I'd really like them to do a really good new one and get Kane back.

They just posted an update on their forum.

Yup. They also posted that on facebook. It's actually a really good and detailed explanation of what happened and an explanation of how they're fixing it. It's kind of nuts though that demand was way way beyond anything they could have imagined. Kind of glad for that but at the same time it lead to these issues. I really feel sorry for them.

After somewhere between 2-3 hours, my friends and I finally got the thing working and played some games last night. Super janky at times to the point where I got a bit frustrated but had a great time even when things broke hilariously. Hope they support the game with fixes because this could really be something. It is fun though and for the size of the dev team, they should feel accomplished. Now just get it stable.

Yup. Even with this jank, I won't hesitate to drop them some bucks to drop some new maps eventually. I'm having a great time when it works. Now make sure my xp gets retroactively added.

What I do dislike is having to add all the people I like playing with so I can hop into their games or invite them to my own. Clogging my friend list has always been a peeve of mine.

I created a LFG. It works almost too well when you get inundated with messages and have to ditch the latecomers.

Xp didn't get retroactively added for me sadly.
I pray they don't charge for maps as that will murder the community. Only charge for cosmetics or characters.

Agreed with everything you said. I will happily support this game for more content but having to work around the game's matchmaking is a bit annoying.

XP is working now, and you can roll perks. However, you still can't save your profile. The game also keeps searching for that old white supremacist from Alabama who is now Attorney General.

technical issues aside, I'm surprised the game is getting good reviews...I was expecting another Dead by Daylight

I'm really surprised people exiting the game voluntarily (?) when they die. You get xp (supposed to) and you get to watch the other remaining players and laugh at them like in Socom. I guess waiting stinks when you die in the first few minutes but sticking around keeps the group solid for subsequent rounds.

There's many positives to this game. They just need some more duct tape.

I giggled.

One thing they definitely did better at launch that DBD is a penalty to quiters. Quiting was game breaking in that game.

This is the last time I buy a multiplayer focused multiplatform game on Xbox, especially from an independent developer. It's always last to crucial updates that PS4/PC gets right away and it's almost always MS's fault for making the patching process unnecessarily hard for developers to implement.

There's no excuse that it should take until mid next week to get the first patch up when other systems had multiple patches within the first day. This has squarely got to be on MS this time.

I dislike JGtH and JX, but man, I'm a big fan of 7. Great looking Jason facing an opponent on his level. Dumb fun, in my opinion.

I definitely understand your concern that Hollywood just doesn't get it.

It's Friday the 13th. Who gives a shit about reviews? The movies got shit reviews too, and yet the fans love them. This thread is filled with people who are loving the game. That's much more important than critics for a game like this.

It's easier for a bad movie to be fun as opposed to a bad game.

The game can be fun when it works. That said, I don't see how long it will be fun for without substantial content additions; and those will be probably be paid DLC.

Hahaha I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Fuck that hateful elf!

They estimated only 30K

We were forecasting somewhere around 30K concurrents and that’s what we setup our database to handle. However, when we flipped the switch, making the game live, 75K players showed up in the first 20 minutes. 50K players got in, but at that point, our database was melting

It's success is good though, hopefully it brings a large number of enhancements like being able to climb over fences and small rocks would be nice.

Douchebag. Yes, me.
Just tried my first game, got into a match in a minute, then the server kicked everyone after 10 mins. Now I've been looking for a game for 20 mins. Is that normal?

On ps4.

Played loads of matches on PS4. Never not gotten a game, sometimes matchmaking takes 10mins and this evening my XP has (temporarily) reset to zero, but still getting games and having a riot. Understandably, it gets better once you know what you're doing.

Just had an awesome game as Jason where the counselors were all mic'd up, so I could hear them screaming whenever they saw me and chatting about tactics etc. It's a ton of fun this. I can't wait until they get it all fixed and start polishing the game up and adding more. Will pay for dlc easily.

If this game is bad, why have people been playing it (or trying to) all weekend?

Man, watching how fun this game is on Twitch makes me want to buy it so hard.

but then I see all the random disconnects, how some games take forever to populate, the bad glitches (negative levels, stuck as one character) and no achievements are working make me want to wait until it's cheaper.

Loading screen tip says when you hear ki ki ki ma ma ma it means Jason got a new ability. You should be able to read these tips whenever.
The game needed the story mode at launch. So everyone could experience Jason's POV before getting online, for example. I could play as him after five matches I believe, so at first I had no idea how he worked and I still would like to know more about his perks (like the range of sense, its limitations, try other Jasons and so on).

It's difficult to keep playing this when it won't even let you buy perks or executions (because it keeps resetting your progress and CP), and when it actually does show your real level, it instead crashes when you customize.
