Spoke too soon. Even with a full group folks are having trouble connecting into the game, and the few matches I could play got kicked during it.

I played yesterday a few matches in the xb1 after the pc beta and is in the same state practically xddd i don't care so much of the bugs because the developers are working hard to fix all the problems and for the moment i believe in them.
Thanks to ms for the LFG option because with that option i can play with random people in private matches very quickly and works fantastic.Without that option i don't know how i'm going to play...
I want the developers give me a option to adjust the brightness in the menu and skip the intros when you put the game.
For the rest i adore this game even in this state like i loved the pc beta back in December.

So apparently I spent 15 minutes hunting down a tommy jarvis with no player or AI behind it.
Got everyone pretty quick. Couldn't seem to get 1 person. Spent the next 15 minutes looking everywhere. Finally with a minute to go I find him. Tommy at his spawn in by the campfire just standing there. Kill him and it's game over. Everyone had quit over the course of the 15 minutes including whoever was Tommy apparently. So the character just was standing there with no player or AI. oh well 7/8 killed. Not bad.

Happened to me last game as well. Found a brain dead Tommy and killed him.
I've noticed most people tend to quit as soon as they die.

Yea I don't get that either. You get points and experience for staying and completing the damn game yet most people quit as soon as they die. Also a heads up people are already finding spots to glitch to where Jason can't get them. So be on the look out for those cheating bastards.
It's supposed to feel really sluggish and unresponsive. It adds to the tension trying not to wreck it.
After playing 5 games:
This is an extraordinary game. Equal parts absolute brilliance and absolute jank. The product barely holds itself together even running at it's best... it has the production values and polish of a C rate Steam shovelware survival game.
However, it completely nails the slasher flick vibe in spades. Every beat of the game is tense and immersive. The sound design is brilliant. And after you die, it is incredibly fun to observe others trying to survive.
I've seen such hilarious shit. A woman runs into a house, bolts the door, and plants a bear trap in front of the door. She hides under a bed, and another woman comes crashing through a window. Jason starts smashing at the rear door, so the new woman bee lines to the front door and gets caught in the bear trap. The woman who planted it watches, holding her breath under a bed as the other woman struggles with the bear trap and gets beheaded.
I love it.

Surprisingly effective at times. I was able to stun a Jason twice in a row with it. Of course, I should have been grabbed but it can happen.

Someone said that the game received good reviews. I am just pointing out it's not.
I like the game very much, but i would give it a 6/10. 8/10 without the jankiness. 9/10 if it was polished like an AAA game. Man that would be so awesome. Maybe they will give the correct amount of support and we will have a gem.

fucking sucks. last night took me 4 hours of spamming X to get into the game due to database errors... tonight is very much shaping up to be the same thing.
My wife and I both booted up our PS4s 3 hours ago. She was able to get into the game immediately along with 4 other IRL friends. Meanwhile, I'm still getting database errors.

Does anyone have issues with in game chat? I'm in Xbox one and more often than not I can not hear anyone in the game speaking. I can see the speaker icon light up along with seeing their name showing that they are talking, but I can't hear anything. Sometimes it will work as intended, but normally not.. I'm guessing it might be an issue with the game?

Just going to repost what I said in the review thread basically from my session tonight on PS4.
Spent the last 5 hours playing with friends and randoms in private matches and had an absolute blast. Memorable moment of the night had to be fixing up the car, getting in the driver's seat but then Jason suddenly appearing and dragging my ass out the window and killing me as my friend jumped in the seat to take my place with another player and left me to die. They didn't have a map and had no idea where to go driving frantically and hit a dead end. They backed up and turned around and saw Jason waiting for them standing in the middle of the road.
"I'm gonna run this mother fucker over and out of the way!" proclaimed my backstabbing and chicken shit friend. lol
They drove full speed towards Jason but he didn't budge and slammed his fists into the hood of the car bringing it to a halt. He dragged the driver out and killed him as the passenger tried high tailing it out of there but not getting far. We all laughed our asses off not only for me fixing the car and getting dragged out for my troubles as my teammates left me but also for their come uppance. Also seeing someone as Jason do the Julius uppercut kill from part 8 was freaking awesome. Oh and Jason getting distracted by his mother's sweater like in part 2 and getting his mask knocked off.
Thankfully you earn XP and all that in private matches and despite trying to get in matchmaking, it just wasn't working.
Like someone else said above, it's got it's rough edges but it nails the slasher flick vibe to a tee and does the IP proud honestly. The amount of fun and shit we all saw tonight had us all rolling, adding randoms as friends and just looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow. Hopefully I can convince more of my friends to get the game.

This really feels like a better game to watch personalities RP than actually play myself. All its technical problems aside, most streams I browse have very few players talking. Ultimately this gives off the experience you'd get playing with bots, and that gets really old really fast.
That said, it's fun to watch when people communicate. The sound design and atmosphere is so faithful to the early films. As a fan I really wish I wanted to play this.
