The biggest issue though is that everything is static in the game world, and adding those physics in could severely tank the frame rate, and like I said I feel their efforts and money are better spent elsewhere.
The money spent elsewhere ? Tina would be new content, seems like something worth investing in, or we just gonna wait for just a random new kill or map every few months? And like anything, its about creating new content/rules to play with. Course you dont make the whole world a sandbox suddenly, you create special new items/assets that can be tossed, etc. Dynamic appearing items/abilities like Jason has would be easy work around, Tina hits a cool down ability like Jason, which causes random world item to appear and fly at Jason as a weapon. Kinda like random non interactive items that appear in games like the super hero MMOs
