Friday the 13th: The Game |OT| You and your friends are dead. GAME OVER

The biggest issue though is that everything is static in the game world, and adding those physics in could severely tank the frame rate, and like I said I feel their efforts and money are better spent elsewhere.

The money spent elsewhere ? Tina would be new content, seems like something worth investing in, or we just gonna wait for just a random new kill or map every few months? And like anything, its about creating new content/rules to play with. Course you dont make the whole world a sandbox suddenly, you create special new items/assets that can be tossed, etc. Dynamic appearing items/abilities like Jason has would be easy work around, Tina hits a cool down ability like Jason, which causes random world item to appear and fly at Jason as a weapon. Kinda like random non interactive items that appear in games like the super hero MMOs

Make Tina a call in like Jarvis. Maybe same way expect 1/5 times she comes instead of Tommy.

She'd be slightly watered down. Maybe she can force throw Jason back but it's on a recharge timer.

Anyone have a pic of part 9 Jason's face? I imagine it'll be awhile till I even see him in a match, let alone knock his mask off.

I'd just rather see new maps and Jasons than Tina. Although to be fair I can't stand Tina so I'm biased xD

The PS4 patch to fix matchmaking is ready to go for NA, they're just waiting on Europe to certify it otherwise it breaks the region free matchmaking.

While we're tossing out ideas that'll never be implemented let's cater to the team-killers and make the next Counselor be Mr. Weekend at Bernie's himself, Dr. Crews. He can get CP by tossing the other Counselors at Jason.

Tina should be it's own game mode, special rules, etc. Make it a versus like mode where Tina is trying to rescue counselor players, Jason is trying to get kills.

Also add Creighton Duke and he spits out ridiculous lines like "When I think of Jason, I think of a hot dog going into a doughnut!"

The biggest issue though is that everything is static in the game world, and adding those physics in could severely tank the frame rate, and like I said I feel their efforts and money are better spent elsewhere.

So my idea for Tina would be to use the telekinesis in interesting ways within the constraints of the game itself. Whenever she fires something at Jason, it instantly hits no matter where she hits. She can instantly install a car battery/gas/fuse with her powers so no repair time. It could take several hits for Jason to break through a TK shield and she can escape grabs by using her mind or something.

Join the Friday the 13th community on PS4. There are over 14k people in the community playing private matches. No need to go through matchmaking that way since it isn't patched yet.

They can create lot more game play variety by experimenting on new ideas. The scope of game is limited, its fun but if they don't add more variety it will affect game longevity. News maps are cool, but they gonna need some more game play variety and experiences eventually.

Some randomized new objectives would be amazing as well. Heck create randomized option for players to have a chance to actually defeat Jason, requiring team work where players can possibly kill him to win. But make it random and difficult

Having a Jason that runs has really been way more beneficial for me for whatever reason, even though I think they have the worst designs. Always dug zombie Jason much more.

I like the running too, but as 6 I didn't won't run into many problems with escaping counselors outside of Vanessa. He has great Sense and Shift and, with a set of throwing knives at his disposal at the start, he can damage from range easily. If I see a fast counselor, I just give them a couple of whacks before I'm ready with the takedown. His spear also has the longest reach. One game, I straight up slashed at a group of four running towards the cops on a trail and was able to take them down effortlessly.

With 8, I can get into a cabin within two swings. I've caught plenty of holed up counselors, three-four at a time, off guard as I come barreling in.

Again, I think all of the Jason are pretty even so I only pick the ones that I think have the coolest weapon kills. Nothing beats the fire axe throw or the shiakabab. I've also been giving each Jason a grab kill that matches the film: the head punch for 8 and the chest punch from 6. So satisfying.

Also, if we are getting a DLC movie character then it'll probably be Crieghton Duke as they won't have to add new mechanics to implement him. As much as I'd like Tina, I see them doing that first.

I don't know what the algorithm is but it's a joke. Have my preference on Jason and the same three people kept getting "randomized" to play him. Played for hours too.

I am not sure either. I don't know if it is flat out random (12.5% chance to be Jason) or that it charges after every match. IE the same person cannot be Jason in a room. At that point it increases your odds after every match. Problem with that is three matches could take over an hour.

I know everyone wants to be Jason so I hope they can figure out a way to make it happen more often for players.

They could add Alice from part 1 and 2. She could come in with her axe and act in a way similar to the bombs that defeated players turn into in Mario Kart 64 where she automatically dies when she encounters Jason, but she damages him and takes him out for an extended period in the process.

I'd rather they not have more special characters outside of Jarvis.

The only one I'd approve would be Freddy, but it would need to be a convoluted as hell process in order to get him. Like going to sleep in a cabin with maximum fear while holding some really hard to find item, and then you get like a 1/10 chance of activating Freddy. And every time you sleep in a cabin you become visible to Jason from anywhere on the map

The way I could see them adding Freddy is by increasing the size to 12 people. Jason and Freddy would compete for kills, with the counselors still having viable means to escape. Then when last counselor is dead or escaped, an epic Jason vs Freddy fight to finish the match. Of course keep the way to kill Jason in, and also some way to send Freddy back to the dream world. Would be awesome

Freddy ain't happening folks :(

You might as well ask for John Cena, Ronald McDonald, Kylo Ren, and the main character from Haze.

Why not? Replace Tommy with random hero character type of system. Have Alice King's character or any of the survivor girls from past games some into the game, with special abilities or unique weapon starts.

Can't wait for the space map. Sometime leading up to Halloween there's gotta be new stuff...

In other news I'm one match from levelling to 18, miss Cox is so close

They just need to revamp Tommy completely.

As a character he should be helping other counselors escape or fighting Jason.

Gameplay wise that doesn't fit well though,

1. He shouldn't have a fear/scare meter, so seeing things like bodies or Jason shouldn't "scare" him like regular counselors.
2. You should get more points for doing things like fighting Jason, causing damage to him, etc.

Basically they need to make it so that Tommy players are rewarded for playing like....well Tommy, not have him act like a regular counselor.

Focus him toward helping others escape and give him "abilities" like Jason, geared toward achieving those goals.

Let him set traps (IE a net trap, ropes to tie him up, etc) and other things that make Tommy stand out from regular counselors and focus him toward fighting against Jason.

On the flip side start him with some first aid kits (so he can heal other counselors) and give him a couple of abilities to buff counselors that are near him, like helping their fear meter stay low/regen, having quicker stamina, or similar things.

I second Creighton Duke. "I think of a little girl in a pink dress, putting a hotdog through a donut"

It makes sense, he was literally a Jason hunter.

Yeah I agree that Tommy shouldn't get scared and should get points for playing according to the character. Tommy coming loaded with a first aid or two would definitely be nice.

In beta I had crazy luck with RNG being Jason. I have about 24 hours played so far and have been Jason twice on PC now (with preference set to Jason almost the entire time). Weird luck. Not going to lie, I enjoy being counselor, but I'd like to try out different Jason's and right now I'm still wanting to play Savini since I've only done it twice and the reaction of the lobby's since most people haven't seen him yet is too good. Especially the pitchfork kills.

An example was last night at 6 of 7 was chasing a Tiffany. After she shot me with a flare gun, stabbed me with a pocket knife TWICE, I finally caught up to her and did the raise her up in the air with the pitchfork kill where she slides down on it. The player randomly whispered "Kiss meeee". I about lost it. I never talk as Jason as I hate people who try to be funny but this time I instantly just whispered back "I love you."

Yea Tommy is kinda dumb as is, most players dont actually come to help, and the whole one shot from his gun is not much of a bonus. I understand its a bonus to bring back a player into the game as numbers do help in the game, but yea he should be about going after Jason and helping.

Kinda how I think Tina could be made to work somehow, the hero characters should be a bonus that is designed around helping to save counselors and stopping Jason, not just a 2nd chance for a dead or early escaped player.

Are you sure both doors were locked/closed? I have many times busted down a door with a councilor inside pointing a flare gun/shotgun at me, and then I will just shift to right behind them and execute them on the spot.

Nope. That's why. The door was busted. I didn't even know that but it makes sense. It's open, he can shift right to me.

Why don't people use the PS4 gaf community ?

Stop yelling at me... I do use it... No one is on...

Why are you yelling at me?

I'm the victim! I'm the victim, dammit!

P.S. For the first time today I have been able to create a match. If people want in, let me know.

Sorry, my internet is down :(

No problem, dude. I appreciate the invite either way. If it comes back up, I have a lobby up and running and there are plenty of spaces open for other people...
